### "Reliable and Easy-to-Use Project Management Tool"

July 22, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Asana has been very positive. It has helped me keep projects organized, track tasks efficiently, and improve collaboration across the team. The interface is clean and easy to navigate, making it simple to assign tasks, set deadlines, and monitor progress. Features like project timelines, task dependencies, and integrations with other tools have made project management more efficient. Although there is a slight learning curve for some advanced features and certain capabilities require a paid plan, Asana has been a reliable platform that has helped improve productivity and keep work on schedule.

Pros

What I liked most about Asana was its intuitive interface and strong task management capabilities. It made it easy to organize projects, assign responsibilities, track progress, and collaborate with team members in one place. The timeline, automation, and integrations with other tools helped improve productivity and kept projects on schedule.

Cons

The learning curve was a bit steep when I first started using Asana, especially with its more advanced features. I also found that some useful capabilities, like advanced reporting and certain automation options, require a higher-tier plan. It can also generate a lot of notifications if you don't customize your settings.

### "Great software for keeping in top of a team, projects and keeping track. "

August 15, 2026

4.0

Generally great. It's a shame I've not needed to use it in a fuller capacity, to really see what it can do. And now AI is available, that is likely to be a game changer.

Pros

I love how easy it is to use. Clean UX and UI, so anyone can use it. Have used it for many years with the start of my business. Is great for keeping in top of tasks for clients and the internal team.

Cons

As long as you turn off notifications, you won't go mad. That's probably the worst thing about it (but you can turn it off.) I would love for more capabilities like Click Up, but I appreciate the simplicity because it isn't like Click Up, and it doesn't lag. And the system is only as good as the team make it.

Alternatives considered

Reason for choosing Asana

Easy of use and better free plan for my usage. I have also used it with my clients too.

### "Do Not Buy"

June 30, 2026

1.0

My experience has been awful. I transferred all but four projects off Asana after the last update because I'm so done with this software. I didn't want to transfer my four longest running projects because they are close to complete and it would have been quite tedious. I logged in yesterday morning and all my line item notes have vanished. Customer service is only via email and extremely slow. I'm now losing a week on my projects because there is a holiday and I've had to push all my meetings while I get my notes back.

Pros

Absolutely nothing. It's an animated excel sheet with extremely minimal functionality. Your money is better spent literally anywhere else. I like SmartSheet!

Cons

Everything. It's not user-friendly, any of the linking between notes pages and creating tasks is extraordinarily finicky and must be approached in the proper order of operations. The updates they make to the software just annoy me and do not improve functionality or ease of use.

### "My Best Business Tool"

May 23, 2026

5.0

To me, it is just so simple to use. I find it easy to set projects up, and tasks and I love the reminder emails so I don't miss anything. I love that my clients can message via this tool.

Pros

I love Asana and find it so easy to follow my VA clients' tasks on this system. It is a great tracking tool and allows us to message each other and pick up in a time that suits us. It means I don't lose sight of tasks and I get reminders daily.

Cons

I would like to see Asana develop its use of AI better and suggest ways to make work smoother. But other than that, this is by far my favourite tool to use.

### "Asana master"

5.0

Pros

I enjoy the ease of use, task tracking, productivity, and dashboards available within Asana. It's easy to track projects and group them within portfolios for reporting.

Cons

I don't like that AI is tied to custom automation. It can be complex to understand how to setup the correct rules for the automation desired and AI would reduce time trying to figure it out.

### "Project Management Tool"

July 28, 2026

4.0

Overall Asana is a great tool for project management but could use some improvements and customizations.

Pros

I like that Asana allows you to build project plans and assign tasks to team mates for tracking. I also like that you can create subtasks and easily track your individual tasks.

Cons

I wish there were some more functionality in Asana. I want the ability to assign tasks to multiple people because the collaborator feature won't add it to your tasks.

### "A flexible and reliable tool for managing cross-functional projects"

August 18, 2026

5.0

My overall experience has been very positive. I use Asana to manage projects involving different teams, owners and deadlines, and it gives me a clear view of progress without requiring constant status meetings or follow-ups. It works particularly well as a shared source of truth for projects, helping teams understand priorities, responsibilities and next steps. Once the right structure and working conventions are established, it can significantly improve organisation and execution.

Pros

The flexibility and ease of use. Asana makes it simple to organise projects, assign responsibilities and keep track of deadlines without creating unnecessary administrative work. I particularly like being able to switch between different views and quickly understand what is happening across multiple projects. It is also very effective for cross-functional collaboration and keeping everyone aligned on priorities and ownership.

Cons

As projects and teams grow, Asana can become quite busy and notifications can sometimes create unnecessary noise. It also requires some discipline and clear internal conventions to avoid duplicate tasks or inconsistent project structures. Some of the more advanced features take time to learn, but these are relatively minor drawbacks.

### "Asana: An Organized and Effective Project Management Tool"

August 23, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with Asana has been positive. The platform provides a clear and organized way to manage projects, assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress. I find the interface intuitive and helpful for keeping team members aligned and accountable. Features such as task comments, subtasks, attachments, and different project views make collaboration more efficient. However, the number of features can sometimes feel overwhelming, especially for new users or complex projects. Overall, Asana is a reliable project management tool that helps teams stay organized, communicate effectively, and complete their work on time.

Pros

Asana has a clean, intuitive UI that makes it easy to organize projects and switch between list, board, timeline, and calendar views. I especially like how straightforward task assignment is: each task can have a clear owner, due date, priority, and supporting details, so everyone knows their responsibilities. Comments, attachments, subtasks, and dependencies also help keep work organized in one place. The interface can feel a little overwhelming when managing large projects with many tasks, but it becomes easier to navigate with regular use. Overall, Asana’s UI and task assignment features make team collaboration, accountability, and project tracking much more efficient.

Cons

What I like least about Asana is that the interface can feel overwhelming when managing large projects with many tasks, subtasks, and notifications. Some advanced features are also limited to paid plans, which may be restrictive for smaller teams.

### "Exceptional Flexibility for Project Tracking and Task Dependencies"

August 9, 2026

5.0

Using Asana has significantly streamlined our team's project management workflow. The ability to toggle between different views—like moving from a high-level Timeline to a granular Kanban board—makes it easy to visualize progress and adjust strategies on the fly. Its strength lies in how it handles task dependencies, which has eliminated much of the communication lag we previously experienced regarding project blockers. It is an intuitive, robust tool that keeps our entire department aligned and productive.

Pros

The interface is highly versatile, allowing for instant switching between List, Kanban Board, Timeline, and Calendar views to perfectly match individual or team working styles. The dependency tracking is excellent; it links tasks clearly, ensuring that all team members are aware of exactly when blockers are cleared and when they can begin their work.

Cons

The primary challenge for me is the steep learning curve caused by the platform's extensive array of features, settings, and complex navigation paths. Additionally, the software’s limitation of assigning only one owner per task can hinder effective management for collaborative, multi-person projects.

### "Keeps Our Team Organized Without Making Things Complicated"

July 19, 2026

4.0

Overall, it's been a good experience. Before we started using Asana, it was easy to forget tasks or lose track of who was doing what. Now everything is listed clearly, and everyone can see updates without constantly asking each other. It has made our day-to-day work more organized and helped us finish projects on time.

Pros

I like that everything related to a project stays in one place. Instead of going through emails or asking people for updates, I can just open Asana and see what needs to be done. Assigning tasks, setting due dates, and leaving comments is straightforward. It has made it much easier to keep track of work without feeling lost.

Cons

At first, I found it a little confusing because there are so many features and different ways to organize work. It took some time to figure out what worked best for our team. I also wish a few more useful features were available in the free version.

### "Asana is great IF you're a smaller enterprise who's looking to go fast!"

January 3, 2026

3.0

For the organisations I have worked within I have always recommended Asana within smaller organisations and enterprises to get projects started faster as onboarding is relatively easy and the customer support is exceptional in the initial stages with both technical and non technical queries but I have felt that it's not quite ready to take on the workload of larger enterprises.

Pros

I think with Asana it has a good user experience and makes it quite easy to use. The features are helpful and powerful for some very certain tasks. Relatively speaking it is quite well priced and the prices are effectively tiered

Cons

I feel with Asana some of there features don't go the extra mile and thus I find that it's an ideal software for a certain type of organisation or a certain size. It will work really well for small and medium organisations but for larger enterprises the product may not be entirely suitable.

Switched from

Price was a big factor but also because we found the user experience for Jira a bit outdated and not the best for smaller organisations.

### "Project coordination and management gets less chaotic with superior tools like Asana."

June 30, 2026

5.0

Asana has been a true life savor and has helped me to effectively meet my duties as the operations project manager of our organization. We introduced Asana to allows us achieve better work management and team coordination during our operations and it has helped us to save a lot of time that we used to waste when we didn't have a reliable project planning and tracking tool. Having Asana has elevated our abilities to keep everyone in the organization on the same loop which allows us to have smooth progress of operations across all departments. I personally get to work with it more often than the others and my experience has been very fascinating. It makes it so easy to plan for operations and track the progress of each operation, allowing us to detect any delays in our operations before they affect the time we get our operations completed.

Pros

As an Operations Project Coordinator, Asana has been my favorite work management product and i work with it almost everyday to plan for our operations and to monitor their progress. I like how Asana has made it easy for me to work together and collaborate with teams from the other departments which help us to have our operations running smoothly across all stages. Asana also makes my projects reporting and documentation tasks very easy by providing very efficient analytics and reporting tools which offers well detailed information about our operations and their performance. I can't forget to mention the visualization features which makes it easy to virtually demonstrate our operations, allowing us to have real time overview of their progress and status. Planning for operations with Asana is very straightforward with great task organization and prioritization features which help formulate the way we will execute our operations in order to achieve the best possible outcomes.

Cons

Asana has been among the easiest to use tool i work with and am glad that i have never gotten into any troubles while using it. I like how organized its features are and how intuitive the interface is which makes it easy for interact with all the features. I genuinely have never found anything that i did not like about Asana.

### "What would I do without ASANA?? "

April 28, 2026

5.0

As a teacher/employee, we are given tasks daily, weekly, and monthly. I can’t imagine working in a virtual setting and not using Asana. My experience has been nothing short of amazing and I am continuing to experience that.

Pros

Being a virtual teacher, Asana makes it easy to keep track of daily, weekly, and monthly tasks and projects. Asana is my go to for all of my daily tasks. Asana helps me remember when I need to grade, update attendance, parent communication, etc. I am so glad my company uses Asana because without it, my work life would not be as organized as it is.

Cons

I can’t say there is anything I don’t like about Asana. It is a very effective program that is beneficial in all aspects.

### "Great for Team Collaboration, Takes Time to Master"

March 27, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Asana has been very positive. It is a reliable and efficient tool for managing tasks and projects, especially in team environments. Once you get used to the interface, it significantly improves productivity and organization. In terms of ease of use, it starts off slightly complex but becomes intuitive over time. Customer support is helpful, and the platform offers good value for money if you actively use its features.

Pros

What I liked most about Asana is its strong task tracking capabilities and flexibility. It makes it easy to organize projects, assign tasks, set deadlines, and track progress in real time. The interface is clean and visually appealing, and features like timelines, boards, and lists allow you to manage work in different ways depending on your preference. Collaboration is also very smooth, especially for teams.

Cons

What I liked least about Asana is that it can feel overwhelming at first, especially for new users. There are many features, and it takes some time to fully understand how everything works. Also, some advanced features are only available in paid plans, which may not feel like the best value for smaller teams or individual users.

### "Fan from one job to the next "

August 25, 2026

5.0

Pros

I love how responsive the help/support team are, especially as a member of the Ambassadors program. It helps enhance my work so that I can better support my teams. I recently moved from one job to another and the support team made it so easy to seamlessly transfer my certifications and account permissions to my new work email; it has been a boon as I have been hired on as part of an organizational shift to using Asana from another PM software. Between this and our Asana client training lead, I am looking forward to helping this new team enhance existing workflows and get even more work to the finish line without losing any steps along the way!

Cons

The learning curve can be a bit steep if you try to jump in with automations and rules too quickly. Take your time to build something great.

### "To Dos, Organized"

July 27, 2026

5.0

I use Asana to organize my small business. I can create different projects for each aspect, from the work itself to the marketing, social media, professional development, and long-term planning. The project capacity encourages me to check in consistently with different areas of the business, helping to keep all balls in the air. Through different views, I can evaluate what needs doing on a project level or deadline level. I can use repeated projects to remember routines, and I can use templates so I don't have to re-invent systems each time I need them. Overall, Asana makes life easier, which is exactly what you want from a project management tool.

Pros

Asana is an intuitive task manager with a lot of capacity even at the free level. It is easy to start using, allows a lot of projects and tasks, and as I made my projects and task lists more complex, I could make the lists more organized and useful through tools like easily copied and repeated projects, due dates, and places to attach related files right to the task or project itself.

Cons

I really have no complaints about Asana. Like all task managers, it easily becomes overly complex, but that's more user error than an issue with the program.

### "Asana Offers Work Day Organization & Productivity "

August 11, 2026

5.0

I absolutely need it in order to be successful with more work day. I have tasks that I will need to schedule months out, I can do this with Asana and I know as long as I write my tasks down I will be more productive in my work day.

Pros

That I can organize my tasks, that I can place employees on projects and task an employee with a project, I also like the dopamine boost I when a narwhal or otter rainbow shoots across my screen after I check off a task I have accomplished.

Cons

I've left other jobs, and that company is still connected to my account, I have tried moving it and it doesn't seem like there is a way to do so.

### "Project Management Tool for Team Collaboration and Task Tracking"

May 31, 2026

5.0

I've found Asana to be an effective tool for managing projects, tracking deliverables, and improving collaboration across teams. It provides clear visibility into project status and helps ensure accountability by assigning ownership and deadlines to tasks. The platform is easy to learn and works well for small teams.

Pros

What I liked most about Asana is how easy it is to organize projects, assign tasks, and track progress across teams. The interface is clean, intuitive, and makes it simple to see what work is in progress, what is coming up next, and who is responsible for each task. I also appreciate the different project views, including lists, boards, timelines, and calendars, which allow teams to manage projects in the way that works best for them.

Cons

One limitation I encountered is that tasks can only have a single assignee. While this helps maintain accountability and clear ownership, it can make collaboration more challenging when multiple team members are responsible for contributing to the same task or deliverable. In those situations, teams may need to rely on subtasks or additional project structures to manage shared responsibilities.

### "Asana helps you organize and Stay on Task"

A very useful tool that has helped my team communicate on projects, stay up to date on progress and stay organized.

Pros

With Asana it is easy to set up tasks and collaborate on a project. You can assign work to colleagues with deadlines to keep a project moving along. Asana can be used internally or shared with outside vendors, which is great.

Cons

Only con I have found is duplication of update emails, i.e., You can receive an update on a task, but also receive the same update if someone is assigning a specific task to you.

### "Intuitive and efficient project management platform"

December 21, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Asana has been excellent. The platform is reliable and scalable, and it significantly improves our team's collaboration and transparency. It has become an essential tool for managing projects and tasks in our organization.

Pros

Asana provides an intuitive interface for tracking projects and tasks. Its boards, lists, and timelines make it easy to organize work and collaborate across teams. The tool integrates with many other services and has powerful automation features that help streamline our processes. For an IT manager overseeing offshore hiring projects, Asana keeps everyone aligned and productive.

Cons

The main drawback is that Asana can feel overwhelming for new users due to the number of features and options. Some advanced functionalities require paid tiers, and managing very large projects can get complicated. However, once team members are onboarded, these issues diminish.
