Director Real Estate Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Simple yet fully effective " July 30, 2024 5.0 Excellent and I couldn't see our company wanting to replace the software. The other thing to mention is that I am sure there resolution services are good however we have never needed to contact them in the years that we have been a customer. The software never seems to glitch which is unheard of. Pros It is so effortless to use. Instead of software trying to justify its cost by making things more complicated than it needs to be, asana just allows you to tailor exactly the internal sheets you need so you can collaborate easily with a widespread team. Cons The only downside with Asana is just its level of integration with other software that we use on a daily basis. We knew that Asana didn't integrate with the software we wanted it too but decided that it was still worth implementing within our business. Some of the alternatives were either too fixed once a template was made or the opposite and you had to spend too much time building them up from scratch which almost defeated the purpose. I've used other project management platforms before and Asana has become my ride or die. Pros I don't know if this is what I like most about Asana but it is what I find most useful to me and that is the app. I update it often when I'm offsite and I appreciate being able to do that live instead of taking notes and updating Asana later. Having the team be able to see updates and new tasks immediately, no matter where I am, is helpful. Cons I'm not able to think of anything. I like and use it enough that I used it to plan my wedding this past June! I also got my husband's company using Asana too! It makes it easy to delegate tasks, track and allocate resources, and track budgets. Viewing activity logs and tracking changes is an example of the tool's excellent visibility. When one team member makes a change, the rest of the team sees it immediately in Asana's real-time workflow tracking. Impressively, it is compatible with many different operating systems and has proven to be a unified platform where all key team members can see and act on project data in real time. There is a learning curve, especially when it comes to dashboards and reporting, but the power of Asana is limitless. Pros We have reduced our workload by 80% thanks to the computerized approval process. Eliminating repetitive but necessary tasks has increased productivity. Many of our projects are well organized and accessible through the mobile app and to anyone with viewing permissions thanks to the ability to link files and add notes at the row level. With the mobile app, I no longer have to juggle multiple platforms to view my spreadsheets; I can do it whenever I want. Cons I really don't have many complaints about this program. Occasionally there may be an unexpected glitch or loss of functionality, but those are extremely rare. I enjoyed the collaborative nature of the software. You also get a sense of achievement when you tick a task off. You can also be as detailed with tasks, creating sub tasks. Pros The user interface was pleasant - great colours and easy to use. You can see due dates in a calendar form or list, add contributors and integrate Asana to Slack and Google Calendar. Cons When you have the same tasks under different stages of the project, reminders sent to you do not clarify which phase of the project you're talking about. You get a reminder for a task, but doesn't tell you what you need to do unless you log into the system. This may not be a con, but a user issue. Review Source AM Alessandra M. Excel spreadsheets + Teams and Sharepoint might be better" October 21, 2024 1.0 After over a year, I believe getting a subscription to Asana was a mistake. It's overly complicated and lacks the basic simple essential project management tools that I need to understand what my team is doing. Pros You'll be able to create a list of projects and communicate with the team for each project in its own section. The outlook addin is great as it allows you to create tasks from your emails and add them easily to Asana. Cons Unfortunately after over a year of use, I'm back to using a simple spreadsheet that I've created myself for project management. My goal is to understand what each person is working on at any given time and how many hours they need to accomplish their tasks and Asana does not allow for either of these. You can enter a time budget, a start and a end date and Asana uses this to uniformly spread the workload which is of no use.
