### "Oasis for the Cluttered Mind"

June 11, 2019

5.0

I have a lot of plans for my business and have had people come in and out to help me with those plans, mainly virtual assistants. Those VA's have been in the country and out, and Asana has been easy for everyone to work with and communicate via. I have had people suggest other things like Trello, which I have used and have no problems with, but I like the depth and continued simplicity of Asana and have not plans to switch.

Pros

It'a tough to pick one thing that I love, but I think if I had to, it's the fact that when I have an annoying to-do list in my head that I know I am going to want to share with a team member or some other contractor I will bring on to help me with something in my business, I can go to Asana to create a list, do a brain dump and add dates and other info as I come up with them. No need to look for paper (as much as I like to write things by hand) and no need to worry about leaving that written list at home the one time I am away from it and want to add to it. Asana is easy to use and has lots of stuff that gets me by as a free user. When I am ready to take on the expense, it will open up even more great features.

Cons

The expense. It's not bad for one person, but I have a little team that I intend to expand. The fee for Asana is per user. It's worth it. I am sure of that, but as a semi-solopreneur who has a few people to help me from time to time and who wants to solidify things so those team members are a definite fixture, I won't look to take on the expense until I know my business can pay for it.

Reason for choosing Asana

More features to help capture a million thoughts running around my brain that I needed to organize and share with others who are not local to me.

### "My projects (and me) are now more ordered and organized"

July 22, 2021

5.0

I use asana to plan projects and tasks related to the vacancies in our company I am responsible for. Asana is also helpful with planning some HR related education projects inside our office.

Pros

As an HR manager I love Asana from the first sign in due to one simple but very important thing: Asana has pre-built guide and tutorial for Human Resources managers and Recruiters. I liked how other HR managers use Asana and now follow the workflow process myself. Every project and task in Asana is easily managed and monitored by notifications, so I can be sure I won't miss out any of my interviews and deadlines. Yes, I'm also ford of minimalistic designs and that's another pro for Asana.

Cons

Asana can be expensive for big companies with multiple users. I do not see any other cons. The problem is that Asana is not very popular among my colleages and that creates some difficulties with collaboartion and sharing projects.

### "My Asana review."

November 11, 2022

4.0

Asana is used in my team for software project management. Asana has helped to break our projects into silos, making them easier to manage and improving overall project visibility.

Pros

Asana integrates with some of the most vital technological applications we use on a daily , regularly for work. This vast integration capability of Asana, helps to expand the limits of Asana's features . For instance , Asana's connection with Slack ensures that team-members get notified on their Slack profiles whenever a project is updated on Asana.

Cons

Asana prevents me from assigning a task to more than one user at a time. While it appears to navigate this limitation by allowing us to introduce subtasks, this does not completely solve the problem as the assigned task will always have one person as the assignee.

### "quite good, but it miss some improvements, especially in UI"

September 23, 2022

4.0

I usually work with asana each working day, but it turns out to be dispersive bouncing from one section to another. I think it's a bit too much rigid. I've also tried NOtion, but not enough time to learn another tool...

Pros

centralized tasks supervising, tracking time, sharing assets and resources

Cons

UI, it's really not updated as others apps do (monday, for instance)

### "Fits the needs of any team"

June 16, 2023

5.0

Pros

I've used Asana in several roles over the past five years. From freelance work, to a design role at a small agency to a larger venture studio. I was amazed how Asana was customizable based on the needs of each team. The Workload feature is one of my favorite features, because it allows our team to know each other's capacity at any given moment. I also love that you can add dependencies, so your team knows when a task is blocked by another task. I also love the slack integration, so I am notified of activity in real-time.

Cons

Subtasks are a double edge sword. But sometime tasks can get "lost" in subtasks of subtasks of subtasks....

### "Asana - Good at everything, Great at nothing"

December 3, 2018

4.0

Asana was our project management platform for nearly 3 years. The platform is well developed, well supported, offers an extensive line of integrations, has a robust Zapier integration available, and is a forward thinking software. One of the greatest perks of Asana is also one of the greatest downfalls - it is not customized for one particular industry. You can make it your own no matter what industry you're a part of - however, if you're looking for industry specific tools and functionality, Asana will not have them. This software thrives on being a generalist software and meets everyones needs about half way - but does so in an attractive and feature-centric way. You can expect regular product enhancements, new features, and attractive interface. You can also expect many of the newest and most helpful features to be limited to paid only plans - understandable. However, their paid only plans are pricy and for being a non-industry specific platform, they cost is often unreasonable.

Pros

It is clean, well developed, and is fairly flexible

Cons

Their pricing plans continue to escalated in cost rapidly and they force you into a minimum number of user tier. So if you need 6 seats, they force you to buy 10 - nearly doubling the cost per user.

### "An awesome project management software"

January 31, 2022

5.0

While keeping an organized schedule, Asana has assisted me in keeping track of daily assignments and activities with clients and teams across time zones. It has aided me in keeping track of the completion of tasks assigned to my work team in a convenient and effective manner, allowing me to see the status of current projects in real time. Aside from these features, I can easily plan for upcoming tasks with the team.

Pros

Asana is a project management platform that enables our team to assign and track tasks and projects. A task's progress can be efficiently tracked. This tool has completely transformed the way projects are managed. The most significant benefit of this application is that precise objectives and task deadlines can be assigned to individuals. This tool also includes an email feature for project updates as well as a deadline reminder. Asana can assist us in organizing all of the work in the most convenient and efficient manner possible.

Cons

The user interface is not easy to use. It takes some time to become accustomed to the user interface. Individual tasks within a project should allow for the addition of comments. The use of color coordination to distinguish between completed, ongoing, and unfinished tasks can help you see the assignments more clearly. The app should be able to integrate with Microsoft Outlook or Google Calendar for effective task tracking.

### "Prolific Onboard Project Management For Remote and On-site Teams. Great for workflow management."

October 29, 2022

4.0

My experience has been outstanding, because it's a complete package for project and task management tool. The support team is great and always solution-oriented and supportive.

Pros

Asana is a very easy-to-use and easy to log in for on-site or remote teams. I like it ensures all our teams update information in real-time and respond easily to each other hence boost collaboration and teamwork. And everyone can easily see what they are working on and what next stages and work moves faster. It's been also easy to manage our workflow.Overall is the best cross-functional collaboration and project management. When working with large teams is excellent and enables them to hit deadline.

Cons

I would say it's a very complete tool characterized by managing projects through the agile project approach through agile project approach. Though I have not been in good terms about when visualizing large list of projects.

### "Tool to keep teams on track and organized"

February 23, 2021

5.0

Overall, I think it's a pretty essential tool for any team or individual working with multiple tasks and/or projects on their plates. It really allows workflow to be streamlined, tasks to be assigned clearly, and progress to be visualized. I think it's a really useful tool for truly any company with any type of work.

Pros

I use Asana personally as well as with teams. I love the Kanban view where you can clearly see what is in progress, what's been completed, and how the overall project is tracking. It allows for a great snapshot of everything for a project, but it also gives some more nitty gritty details for whomever needs to track certain items.

Cons

It's a little sterile, which I don't necessarily think is a CON - it should serve a pretty clean and straightforward purpose. But maybe some more customization tools for projects/client channels might be nice.

### "It is a good tool for interdisciplinary teams "

October 31, 2021

5.0

I am working with Asana on the daily basis. Our company is using it in almost all teams. Only our development teams are using the tool more suitable to them. It is a problematic how to cooperate between those two tools without paying an extra money.

Pros

It's very easy to use for almost anyone. You can teach your teammates to use most important features in less than an hour. Asana is also giving us many resources to self-learning.

Cons

It's not as customizable as some other tools on the market. Of course the price is lower so probably you can't get too much in lower price.

### "My review "

March 25, 2021

4.0

Totally Awesome. It helps me decrease email, onboarding workers a lot simpler, helps in making better choices, and running better gathering

Pros

Incredibly Customizable: Between workspaces, projects, segments, undertakings, and subtasks association is a breeze. Set Recurring Tasks: Easily set repeating undertakings for things that should be finished more than once. Breaking point Emails: Cuts down on the measure of messages and messages expected to talk about undertaking or errand subtleties. Schedule Sync: A simple to-get to schedule matched up with the entirety of your assignments so you never forget about what should be finished.

Cons

No Time Tracking and Estimate Functionality: There is no real way to follow time with Asana shockingly. Anyway this can be cured with the Everhour add-on, which coordinates consistently, enabling you to follow hours and gauge the span of assignments (find in real life beneath) UI Delays: With such countless undertakings and reports in a similar spot in some cases the UI can get somewhat lethargic Intensely Text-Based: Since the program is vigorously text based, it's not difficult to inadvertently break structure, eliminate an errand, or change its naming.

### "The Free Version Fits Us Great"

November 29, 2018

5.0

I'm the administrator of my church and thus have people that I need to share to-do lists with to see things get done. I'm paid staff but work with volunteers, so software is the best way to stay in contact with each other. Asana has helped me keep projects organized so everyone can see what everyone else is doing, has done, and has yet to do.

Pros

I love the recurring task feature! I have weekly duties that I need to accomplish every week, so having to put those in every single week would be very tedious! But with Asana, I just set the task to recurring, select the frequency of it, and I'm done! I also enjoy the project folders that are shareable if I choose. I have a specific project folder that's only my recurring list, one for actionable items that come up in staff meetings, one for miscellaneous tasks, and 2-5 others, depending on the open projects we're working on.

Cons

It's a small annoyance more than a con of the software, but I've had a team member tell me that he will sometimes receive his email notifying him of a task I've assigned to him many hours after I actually assigned it to him. I'm not sure if that was Asana's fault, or the fault of his email provider, but it's annoying when that happens. In another task manager app I used for a while, there was an option with a slider to gauge the progress of a task by percentage. So if I was half done with something, I could move the slider to 50% completed. I'm bummed that Asana doesn't have something similar.

### "Efficient, intuitive and enjoyable"

October 1, 2018

5.0

I use Asana (the free version) to manage a multimedia project (podcast), collaborating with a team of several people. All of us love it, and it allows us to literally keep on the same page, with right up-to-the-second updates. It seriously is like Asana was written for our needs. We love it.

Pros

Asana is brilliant. It provides plenty of flexibility for organizing your work, and managing it with others. The interface is pleasant and stable. The hierarchy of objects makes sense, and once you figure-out the workflow, managing tasks is a breeze. Interacting with others is simple ... You can assign ownership of tasks to individuals, or only add them as followers so they get notifications about what's going on. Due dates keep you on track, file attachments lets you add supplementary resources. Plus, changes are updated live for everyone, so there is no lag time between team members. The mobile app is smartly designed, allowing you to do just about anything you would do through the Web.

Cons

The interface comes with a bit of a learning curve, but nothing too severe. Some actions (i.e. switching between projects) can be a little tricky to find. But with regular use, navigating around Asana is fast and makes sense for the most part.

### "User friendly"

June 21, 2021

5.0

Asana has been helpful for me when managing projects that involved volunteers who do not have a background in project management and managing multile moving parts with varying timelines.

Pros

Easy to set up, assign tasks. The pre-styled templates are life savers! I love that you can set tasks up based on auto completion and set up notifications for stakeholders so that everyone can meet their deadlines for timely completion of projects.

Cons

That there is not a version for solo-prenures. You have to pay for larger business and it would be nice if Asana would create a pricing option for people in business for themselves allowing for occasional out of network collaborators for a more reasonable price.

### "Why I like Asana"

May 15, 2022

5.0

My main business use is project planning and splitting the project into concrete tasks and keeping up to date with progress status and adding comments.

Pros

I think what I like the most is the ease of use, you just use your browser, integrate with various external tools for time tracking and general project planning.

Cons

I like the least that people aren't motivated enough to use all the features and constantly slack on using it properly.

### "Amazing for Org-Wide Collaboration"

June 22, 2023

5.0

Pros

I love the ability to transparently share work and project plans within a team, but also the functionality of looping in other colleagues and teams on shared work. I love how easy it is to organize tasks within a project and create dashboards to see team output and measure progress toward KPI's and goals.

Cons

It can be cumbersome to roll over annual projects/event timelines from year to year. You have to take the time to understand the platform to really make it work for you and your teams (though it's a worthwhile investment of time).

### "Great product for small to medium sized projects"

August 27, 2018

4.0

I use Asana on a daily basis with smaller clients to help coordinate and manage small projects.

Pros

First and foremost Asana provides a fabulous way to communicate between your team members in relation to tasks on a project. For a given task, you can easily drag/drop files into the task, create sub-tasks, or add tasks to provide better details about the task at hand. It is easy to add comments to the task and provide a conversation flow when there are questions or other items to clarity. Using tagging and e-mail responses your customers can easily engage with your team. Asana has a standard "list" style for each project, but now has Kanban style projects as well, which helps increase visibility on workflow even more.

Cons

I don't have any major complaints about Asana. The only limitation it has is that it isn't geared towards an Agile/SCRUM type project since there are no sprints, points, or anything in that regard. However, this isn't really an issue for small/medium sized projects and would get in the way of users if it was.

### "Great group chat app with good integration"

April 13, 2021

5.0

You can modify it a touch nibbled by adding a picture and emoticons in your possession. I truly like that it is so natural to impart records to each other. Asana makes everything tons more proficient. Asana was not difficult to arrange and direct to ask began. Our group needed a device to help coordinate the effort and offbeat correspondence pre-pandemic and chosen Asana.

Pros

I love everything about the product it keeps us all associated regardless of all performing at home. On the off chance that we'd like assistance, it's the way we will connect with chiefs or possibly ask different specialists for help and acquire answers tons quicker. it's been a truly required apparatus and outright need performing from home.

Cons

The lone thing I don't care for is that the indisputable reality that you can't change the shading format of Asana. that is actually the sole thing I can consider that may be viewed as a con. Albeit this is frequently not a genuine con, it's truly difficult to separate from work even once I am off.
