### "ASANA Review"

June 13, 2023

4.0

I started using Asana a while ago to organize tasks in a team. This tool made it possible to organize work effectively, and to have an interface that showed the progress and status of pending activities, which simplified things.

Pros

Asana has an attractive and simple user interface that allows the user to get familiar with it quickly. It also includes collaboration functions, which makes it perfect for organizing and monitoring work teams. Other advantages are its task tracking features: it lets users prioritize tasks with ease.

Cons

The main con of Asana is that being a software with so many features, it can become overwhelming for a new user. Implementing Asana correctly and effectively requires some experience and familiarity with all the options it offers.

### "Using it proactviely as one man show"

October 24, 2021

5.0

Asana is perfect for a one man show like me. I woudlnt know what to do without that tool other than procrastinate. For some it might be overkill as oneman show but for I like its felxibility and having my work task with me on pocket size.

Pros

\- modern UI - mobile App - has all modern / agile worktools even in free plan - day to day tracking with having everything on one app - huge number of integrations to your existing app set

Cons

\- a lot to take it if new to project management - nothing more

### "Takes post-it project wall to a medium-service level"

April 27, 2019

4.0

I had started with Trello for some few business and home project management but thought I would like to include some more project management features. I think it ended up being more than I needed, and for the relatively few and simple projects, Asana wasn't worth the difficulty. But I can see that in increasing the projects and their complexity, especially if they can be structured and repeated, Asana would be an excellent step up. And despite me feeling the complexity of its features, it is more flexible than a full-features project management approach or system that I've used for work, so is a good in-between and saves time. It can work as a trusted system (as described by CSR), which is a plus, but as with all self-management, personal preferences are a major component and I found Asana both too complex and clunky to enjoy its regular use. But for the right kind of person and the right kind of projects, it can be extremely useful.

Pros

If you like and need a general breadth of project management features, then Asana is definitely a choice to try. It takes the post-it project wall (done well by Trello) to a more complete level, with timelines, calendars, milestones tracking, and task and project relational handling. Plus all that you would expect from a cloud-based service with add-ins for other services linking. For handling a slew of tasks and projects that are relatively structured and repeated, this is definitely an excellent source.

Cons

There was a bit of a learning curve and many features did not feel intuitive - so seemingly not how other software I've used works, and thus is more of a commitment to make it work. There were also a slew of small annoyances in using and moving between the features like having to close dialogue boxes directly instead of just clicking elsewhere.

### "More Intuitive Than You Think"

September 2, 2023

4.0

It was good, but this is good for companies and departments that are large. If you're tight-knit, you may want to find something simpler.

Pros

Asana was more intuitive than what we used it for at my last job. It worked for assigning projects and keeping things organized. It also allowed for multiple departments to be on the same accord. So things that we were doing on social media would reflect what's on the website. What's on the website would reflect what's on YouTube. etc.

Cons

Though I was a fan, it offered more than we needed. We didn't need it to keep things organized for the most part. But it allows many people access to things they shouldn't have.

### "Intuitive, Powerful, and Beautiful To Do App"

June 22, 2020

5.0

Asana has allowed our office to both keep extremely flexible and extremely specific project to-do lists. It also allows us to keep our conversations about an issue or project in one place, archived for all time. Additionally, we are able to keep reference information about each project in Asana, creating one central place to check for details, status, and tasks on each project.

Pros

Asana is extremely easy to implement in an office. The design is clean and intuitive and feels very familiar and easy to use from Day 1. Love the ability to create tracking boards or lists, depending on what my need is; and the ability to switch between both of these views is a huge plus. The animations are a delight. Love the Chrome and Gmail plug-ins, I use those multiple times a day. I liked Asana so much that I implemented it at home to keep our family on track and organized.

Cons

I wish there was the ability to personalize the skin of the app more -- different backgrounds for the desktop, stickers. I also wish that Asana could integrate with electronic planners to replace their to-do list function.

### "An Amazing sofware to manage your daily work"

September 23, 2020

5.0

A really good experience, I will keep on using it for sure. A perfect software for task management. Really easy to assign tasks and track them

Pros

Maybe the best software to manage your daily work. Really love how it is easy to switch between the list mode and the kanban mode. Another useful feature is the card that appears on the right when clicking on a specific task

Cons

Right now it is possible to to assign a task to one collaborator only, while I would have liked to assign it to several collaborators. A shortcut to this could be the use of subtasks but you loose the general view.

### "The best management tool I've used so far"

September 27, 2021

5.0

We used asana daily for our project management in my older company, and it helped us a lot in tracking our progress and issues

Pros

The UI is very intuitive to work with, and the ability to add multiple people and assign tasks, add comments and document your journey is amazing.

Cons

There are very less integrations yet with asana for things like git and ides. That could be improved, and I guess that is due to lack of a robust public api.

### "Intuitive interface and robust features"

October 31, 2023

5.0

Pros

I liked the platform's ability to create and manage tasks with ease. The task creation process is simple and straightforward, allowing me to assign tasks to team members and set due dates quickly. The ability to attach files and add comments to tasks has greatly improved our collaboration process so that everyone is on the same page and has access to all the necessary information.

Cons

Nothing to complain about so far. The tool has greatly enhanced my team's productivity and efficiency

Asana has been a great way to keep all projects organized.

Pros

The tracking and status updates are useful to see a quick overview of where projects are at across the entire company.

Cons

Asana does not have a grea "if then" feature for creating and managing tasks which makes it difficult sometimes.

Very positive.

Pros

Good value for money given, quite capable saas product, comparable to Jira and other Agile/Scrum compatible solutions.

In general, it is a good tool, I use it more than anything personally with no more than 2 collaborators.

Pros

Cons

What I liked the least is the task panel, tracking each one of them is a bit cumbersome for me.

### "Great Communication Tool amongst team and clients"

December 1, 2023

5.0

Pros

The tasks are easily segregated as per topics and sub-tasks can be added and assigned to members. It's easy to involve other team members and include links to projects/work assignments.

Cons

The notifications are too frequent, specially if you're not assigned on the task and merely only a member who's following it.

### "Agile = Asana"

August 31, 2023

Control y planning de tareas y proyectos de Marketing.

Pros

### "Great Project management tool! Cool features!"

September 19, 2022

5.0

Great experience having used Asana for 2 years now. Enables smooth functionality of team projects.

Pros

I like that there are multiple layouts for the same tasks like an overview, list, board, calendar view, timeline view and so on. The ability to tag users for a certain task is also great! Even the customer support team is pretty quick in resolving any queries.

Cons

The tool in itself doesn't have any cons. If I had to pin-point something I'd say the pricing per seat is expensive, especially for a start up. Rest all great!

### "Try Asana to manage your teams and projects- you can get your money back if you're not satisfied!"

July 8, 2021

5.0

Overall, I think Asana is great. I used only the trial option. I did not pay not because it was too expensive or I didn't like it, but because I was on a break from working with teams on a project. If you plan to use Asana, you may choose it over other options because of the ease of use. You would get weekly- Monday morning- emails about what your workspace looks like. Even after my trial period was over, I still got emails from the team. Asana is great for managing teams and projects, particularly if you have defined the number of tasks you want to complete.

Pros

I love Asana's ease of use and interface. I was able to plan my tasks, set my goals and assign positions to other team members. Asana's task schedule would help you assign tasks ahead, even before the start date. You would also get an alert when tasks or goals are due. There are four different interfaces for using Asana. So you can also set how your team's project looks like. Then, Asana would send weekly emails, updating you about your team's progress. Even if you use the free version, you will always get emails! Lastly, I like that you can send invites to your teammates immediately after assigning tasks, you can comment to discuss the role, and set a task to private to a specific group of people only.

Cons

What I didn't enjoy about Asana is I couldn't track my teammates in real-time. When I assigned a task to someone, I usually had to set it to "not started", then, they may or not even update it to "in progress" or "done" after completing the task. I think Asana may not be great if you're handling a lot of team members with little communication. Asana should have a better way to ease communication amongst project members.

### "Not very user friendly, for basic use only"

December 8, 2021

3.0

Overall I would not recommend it. For my line of work it is very tedious and I find myself entering and completing tasks longer than it takes me to actually work on each item separately. I wish there was a way to easily replicate tasks and everything would read together. This is a good start, and good for basic task management, but not if you are project managing a very detailed assignment.

Pros

I do like the fact you can track tasks using this software and assign tasks to other users. It is streamline for basic task management and able to keep on track with assignments.

Cons

There are 15 different views and no rhyme or reason why views don't feed into one another. I filter to my own tasks, then change views and I see everyone else's. Same with completed tasks. In one view I can hide my completed tasks, but once I change my viewpoint I see everything again. There is also no easy way to replicate tasks vs copy and pasting under each sub-category. For tasks that have many sub-tasks this is a very unfriendly system. When I update a task, or someone else updates a task and I am assigned to it I get 3 separate notifications. The notifications are not detailed enough to know which task it is referring too.

### "Best to organize your work"

June 10, 2020

5.0

At some point in my life I figured out the need of some software to organize myself. Being an engineer I did what most engineers do: I swept through most of the top software like that. Nothing compared to Asana. Easy of use, functionality, features - all is there. All fit for my needs. I use Asana daily to organize my tasks in the getting-things-done framework. At the same time I advocate to my students to start using it when working on projects - simply because I know it works. Great product.

Pros

\- ease of use - ease of onboarding - clear UI - lots of features - great customization - ease of teamwork

Cons

At some moments Asana is a bit too candy-like. I understand that "having fun" is a part of workflow now, but when marking an engineering task done, I do not feel the need to see a smiling unicorn giving me a thumbs-up.

### "Great product for cross-functional team collaboration"

March 25, 2022

Pros

It is super user-friendly! It is easy to create multiple teams, add projects, create timelines, and assign responsibility. It is super satisfyingly to mark a task as complete. I also love that we can create scheduled task boards- this is really handy for ensuring jobs are covered during PTO or absences.

Cons

I honestly have zero complaints. I think it is the most user-friendly task-management software I have encountered.

### "Best Task Management App I've ever used!"

February 17, 2019

4.0

Whether you're a large enterprise or a start-up with a few employees, Asana will make your life way easier. Asana was introduced to me by an ex-colleague of mine who was heading a Sales team in a different company. I was amazed by the utility it added to the functionality and productivity of my team. I had to try it first to believe it. I suggest you should too.

Pros

1) Asana makes keeping track of projects and tasks very convenient. 2) It is very user-friendly. I say this because when I implemented the use of Asana in my company, I found that many individuals with varying technological proficiencies started learning the basic features and worked on it without any hassles. 3) It is very easy to create and manage multiple projects across multiple departments. 4) I've realized that meeting deadlines have become easier now, given the fact that I can track all progress in a real-time environment. 5) Asana's mobile client is helpful when I'm on the go. 6) Last, but definitely not the least, Asana lets me "visualize" my work, literally, thereby helping me move tasks through different stages quickly and easily.

Cons

To be honest, there's not much that I didn't like about Asana, given the fact that I've been using the free version for the first two years and then ultimately switching to their paid version. However, if I look at things with a more detailed approach, these are the cons I can highlight:- 1) Setting up privacy settings is a bit of a tricky task. 2) When I tried to duplicate a product, I noticed that the notes weren't carried over. (Not a big deal, I know) 3) I wish they had a chat function within the interface. That would be pretty kool.

### "A Great Project Management Solution for Any Organisations"

February 16, 2022

4.0

Our overall experience with Asana has been very positive and would surely recommend it to other people looking for a project and task management solution. Mobile apps can be an area of improvement for Asana, but other than that the product is really well built and is really easy to setup and use.

Pros

The feature we like the most about Asana is the automation part, which allows us to automate repetitive tasks and workflows. Also, there's support for Agile project management which helps us a lot. Also, we like the support for numerous integrations that Asana provides allowing us to integrate other products into our workflow.

Cons

The only thing we didn't like about Asana is its on the go mobile apps. Mobile apps are very limited and doesn't provide much functionality compared to its competitors.

### "Asana is good at what it is made for.... which is not everything."

October 27, 2020

4.0

I was very happy with Asana at first, but as we got down into the weeds, I realised that if your projects are complex with many tasks and sub-tasks, or if you need to use sub-projects, you will hit the limitations very quickly.

Pros

Very easy to use Intuitive design Customisable Modern Move quickly between views and tasks

Cons

A little to simple, not enough layers of organisation for us. Unintuitive pricing scheme, they seem to want to force you up and up... Bulk operation tools clunky Not set up for large projects

### "Asana is a great team management software!"

March 2, 2021

5.0

We use Asana to collaborate fully as a team. This software works very well for us! I log in daily to check my inbox, tasks and work on projects. We use it to store so much information and it has eliminated my daily email use-- which is great!

Pros

I like how Asana is collaborative and we can easy chat with each other, provide feedback and edit projects together. It makes it easy to work in different time zones with a fully remote team, because everyone can see updates in a project at their leisure. I also like how it has an app for mobile and allows you to have a no-notifications period.

Cons

I think the task project could use improvement. I would prefer a way to rearrange this section easier so it more models a to do list or a daily planner.

### "Project Managers Haven!"

July 10, 2018

5.0

Free version is very generous (offering to try Asana for up to 15 team members). The trial gave us the experience and confidence to finally subscribe to the paid app. Project management, collaboration and communication is house in one easy to use mobile/web app.

Pros

Project managers rejoice! Asana is a web and mobile app that will make life easy for managing small to big projects. The design and UI of this app is fantastic. It is intuitive even for the older (not so tech savvy) PMs to use. We use it for managing tasks, team communications and reminders, and project workflows. We started with the free version (which is just enough to support our 12 employee team. Note: Free version supports up to 15 team members). We loved it so much that we upgraded to the paid option. It was built on HTML5 which makes you really feel how fast and responsive it gets. This is important since it houses our project communications and collaboration.

Cons

The service requires you to be online (no offline option). This may pose as a challenge for remote team members who go to some project venue/site which has no/limited connectivity.
