I am happy with the product, especially since it is free for the functionality I am using it for. I would be willing to pay a small fee (at least the cost of a stamp) to have live checks be processed and mailed on the same day that the payment is processed.

Pros

I love that I can pay all invoices without printing and mailing checks. It is also great that the program completely integrates with QuickBooks so the bills show up automatically in Melio, and with a few clicks I can pay all of the bills.

Cons

It takes over a week for a live check to be delivered to a vendor, which is a long time.

### "We lost money"

Payment processing takes too long. At best an average/OK service.

Pros

When I started using Melio for our company Debit Card processing was free. After it established itself it started charging for Debit Card Processing.I can ask my customer to pay for the transaction fees.

Cons

I ask a customer to make a payment for a service. I receive an email from Melio that their payment is accepted. I provide the service. 1-2 days later I get another email from Melio that the payment has been rejected. I already provided the service. Good luck getting paid. I never had this type of issue with PayPal before so it is very annoying and costly. This happened to me several times.

### "Should not be in business... "

The money came out of our account very quickly sat on their site for over a week, and then in 3rd week, it showed as deposited... The vendor never got the money... One payment bounced, and when I reached out, they said, " Oh, we can refund that to you after 3 to 5 days... For the other two payments, we have to wait or talk to your bank... From now on, I will use my own bank ACH and pay the $45 ach fee... Since this tranx cost me 15% late fees to my vendor which is about $2k... As a start-up we can't afford this kind of BS.... WILL NEVER USE THIS SERVICE and am seriously questioning my usage of QUICKBOOKS... NOT SURE WHY THEY PICKED THESE FOLKS...

It seemed to be integrated with Quickbooks, so I thought it would be easy to use...

Pretty user friendly and straightforward.

Cons

Uploads are limited to one item so when backup is needed I have to manually combine docs into one file rather than uploading multiple files.

Pleasant experience overall and definitely would recommend

Pros

One of its best features is that I am able to schedule vendor payments as invoices come in and later track and balance.

Cons

Some glitches I had with the software when vendors were paid by a single use card even though they didn’t request it.

Cons

### "Sorry we don't accept credit cards - has that bothered you before? "

Overall it's given me the freedom, and the recipients all flexibility to make transactions fast and convenient. I also particularly like support. They are real people and treat their customers as real people. Fintech can often get caught up in the tech side, and forget that it's is still humans housing the product.

Pros

The onboarding is fast and easy. It is a direct solution and no ambiguity. The support was fantastic and has helped when needed it, and that was user error, not the platform. What I like most is that Melio gives you the flexibility that you wouldn't get in your financing and A/R flex. It's also something that has actually helped our client's more than it's helped us.

Cons

There are some limits to what you can use it for, while I understand those limits, sometimes you'll run into sites that it might not work with. Perhaps a bit more detail on the progress of transactions, and an audit trail. It's a great solution to a simple gap, doing one thing well it's hard to find faults. That said I don't use it every day.

Melio makes my life a lot easier.

Pros

Very easy to schedule ACH payments.Very easy to assign roles and permissions.

Cons

One issue I ran into with independent contractors:When dealing with many vendors you are paying, the main name to search for is the "company name".Individuals working as independent contractors sometimes don't understand and put in funny names as company name. If it's the vendor who set it up like this, you can't change it as payer.

I have cut back on hand written checks by 90%, which saves me 2-3 hours and ACH transactions are more secure and immediate than mail.

Pros

I like how easy it is to use and the product feels very secure.

Cons

Copying vendors between stores under the same company would be a great feature. I found the Quickbooks integration clunky, as every time I made a payment it made several entries, but it's fast enough to manually enter payments.

Pros

Setting up Melio was a breeze, learning the platform took only a minute, integrating with Quickbooks Online was trouble free, and creating my first invoice was done in only a few steps. Best part, my business client received the invoice and the money was in my account within days, fee-free!

Cons

I would like to see the feature if I send an invoice to an email address that's already associated with Melio, then my client would automatically see the invoice in their Pay Inbox on Melio. I know this is possible with a unique email address, but why not link it to their Melio profile address.

Pros

I like how quick and easy it is to set up payments through Melio.

Cons

The one thing I find annoying is that you cannot back out if you create a new account by mistake.

Melio has smooth our collection process by providing the easiest way to receive online payments from our customers. Is easy to set up, easy to use, clean and smooth for our customers, and the best it is free for our customers to send ACH.

Pros

I love the interface is easy to use and the setup with our bank was super simple. I love this solution is simple and basically free of charge if your customers pay with ACH.

Cons

I would like a kind of integration with Quickbooks Desktop in order to keep the payments updates automatically

Outside of the invoice problem, I can't find fault.

Pros

I like the ease of use. I also like that it offers what PayPal doesn't...I can allow my clients/customers to pay using their credit/debit card without having to create a account. Thats what I'm looking for, at an affordable price...melio got it

Cons

in order to complete a transaction the client/customer will have to add a invoice....ummmm...thats NOT going to work. I will loose money like that. Tried sending a message...NOONE is there to respond. Time to move on to a competitor

I like that it links with QBO and you an auto sync anytime. You can choose a specific date to withdraw from the bank and a specific date to pay your bills.

I have been extremely happy with the ability to have payments come directly into my bank account from the customer, and the fees are fair.

Pros

This product integrates very well with Quickbooks Online, and is fairly easy to use once it is set-up. Customer Service is great

Cons

Set-up takes a little bit of computer saavy, but customer service is very helpful. It takes a little bit longer than I would like to get the funds in my bank account after a customer has made the payment when they pay from their bank account.

I'm excited to use this new platform, the customer service team is fantastic, they immediately respond and they're quick in understanding your 'concern' and will address it accordingly. If it's a new feature idea, they'll let you know that it's been on their list but that other features may currently have priority, appreciate that honesty to not create false hope.

Pros

Ease of setting up all my vendors so they can be paid via ACH with a few clicks (for free) Upload/scan of invoices Quickbooks integration, crucial!! Customer service

Cons

I look forward when they allow me to send out a link to new vendors so they can do their own onboarding (put in their contact & bank details) so that I don't have to chase them myself and input manually.

Melio cuts down on the need for checks and you are able to schedule ACH payment for free.

Pros

It connects to QBO will ease. You can search for vendors or create a new one on the fly. Set parameters so the admin has to approve payments before they are scheduled. ACHs are free, unless you need it expedited. If you do not have the vendors bank details, it will send a request for them to enter it themselves.

Cons

I have not used the check feature yet, but ACHs take 3 days to process. I also have to manually record in Quickbooks desktop, as Melio only connects to QBO.

### "Easy payments for small businesses "

Pros

I have ADHD, so I get overwhelmed easily, but Melio is so streamlined and easy to use! I'm so happy that my friend introduced me to it. It's just me paying independent contractors, and Melio makes it a snap!

Cons

I was scared of using a new software at first – and I wish that money could be transferred immediately without fees, but I understand why there needs to be a waiting period.
