### "Default on scheduled Payment. "

They Defaulted on a scheduled Payment! I contracted Melio to make payments to my commercial Land Lord monthly and to take the payments from my credit card. Obviously my bank has the same service but I want to gain points even if that means spending 1 point to earn 2 points. it's all a write off. Melio missed the last payment. And, has yet to get back to me about this. They can be reached through my credit card company and even they could not get through. It is astonishing to me how the whole company could be on holiday. Yet their target audience are all people, including those who don't share the same holiday. clearly the \[sensitive content hidden\] has Zero respect for his clients!

Pros

I'm not so sure I can give a positive note here. I contracted Melio to make regular payments to a commercial Land Lord. That is what I liked about it. But, since that failed I can't say I like any thing; Can I?

Cons

They defaulted on a payment; so, they can't be trusted. And on top of that, after notifying the company through google reviews, And following instructions to send them a message with the subject "Urgent Google," they have yet to get back to me because he whole company is on holiday.

### "Melio is great!"

Melio is great! We only use it for AP, but so far I really enjoy it.

Pros

I think it is very easy to navigate, and easy to find invoices and payments.

Cons

I do not like that we cannot void a payment ourselves, we only can void or request a refund from Melio support. Even thought they are extremely helpful, there should be a request reimbursement button and then Melio can review.

### "Great Software"

It has been great overall: saves me a lot of time, great price point, and customer service has reached out to me numerous times to tell me about new functions and to check in.

Pros

The ease of use is incredible. I simply drop one of my invoices into the software and generate a check within seconds. So much easier than writing checks by hand. Melio has saved me hours in productivity.

Cons

I would like more integration into Quickbooks. Also, sometimes when you drop a new vendor's invoice, the software doesn't read it correctly.

### "Melio software is super streamlined and easy to use"

Pros

As the president of Utah Bookkeepers, I use Melio for my clients accounts payable. I love that it's free for my clients to use and the learning curve is also extremely easy. It makes the accounts payable process super streamlined and smooth. Integration with QuickBooks Online was a breeze.

Cons

The only cons I can think of is that I would prefer not to have as many email notifications, but I can probably fix that in the communication settings, I just haven't looked yet.

Great overall!

Pros

I love that Melio is easy to use and integrates with Quickbooks online. As a bookkeeper, it is important that Melio allows me to have my client approve their payments before they are processes, and the process is easy for the client to understand.

Cons

I couple of times payments have not gone through, and the process of fixing that is slow

### "Horrible Customer Service"

I have been incredibly disappointed with Melio and will be seeking an alternative solution immediately.

Pros

The payments seemed simple. I could link our company bank account and my contracted employees could link theirs for easy ACH payment.

Cons

There customer service is AWFUL. I sent multiple emails and it was days even weeks between responses. They have no customer service number to call and if you use the chat feature they reply "It looks like you've started and email chain with \_\_\_\_\_\_ so I'm going to end the chat. Please reply to those emails." Even if the person hasn't responded in a week, they still expect you to go that route. My contractors did not get paychecks for almost 2 weeks AFTER I sent payment, but I could not get a response as to how to proceed. I just watched payments sit in limbo with ZERO help from Melio's customer service team. Very disappointed. Will be looking in to other apps for direct deposit to my contractors.

Checks sent with Melio deliver to the vendor within 5-7 business days, any delay after the check is sent to the vendor's address on file is on the postal side. If a check has not been deposited by the vendor, you can contact Support to request it be reissued or refunded. \-ability to use credit cards to pay distributors via ACH -ability to earn triple points on Chase INK Preferred card since Melio is categorized as "shipping" for Chase. Don't mess around with this! -syncing to Quickbooks invoices -itemized credit card transactions with distributor name; easier for bookkeeper -wonderful and responsive account rep - \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] Smart -simple interface

THINGS TO ADD: -importing vendor credits from Quickbooks to Melio -ability to partially pay an invoice -ability to sort invoices by date, vendor, due date, amount, etc. -need to clearly display which store/account I'm logged in under; I have two stores and I have to click my name in the bottom left to see which store I'm logged in under ISSUES/IMPROVEMENTS: -better communication with accounts receivable departments at vendors; a lot of companies have Melio and have no idea what it is, don't trust payment, don't tell sales reps, etc. -improve the speed of emailing of payees after payments are made; there is a lot of confusion if/when a payment is made -Code for bonus categories for AmEx and Barclays business cards -Create an Android app -Find a way for credit card payments to hit vendors' accounts at open of business next-day -offer promotions to be more competitive with Plastiq. Currently, Plastiq offers tens of thousands of dollars every month with 1% fees. They also only charge 2.5%... -Find a way to make COD payments easier or more trusted with alcohol vendors

Love that the payment portal is free, absolutely incredible.

Overall well, support was nice, just expensive.

Pros

The software works and collects information from the other user automatically: as long as you put in their email.

Cons

The fees. Having so many excess fees made it far worse than using a bank integrating solution like Novo or Mercury.

Reason for choosing Melio

At the time, it was simplest to use. However, given that it does not have an API or excel import, we outgrew it.

### "Worst customer service ever"

customer service is the biggest joke in the world!!

Pros

The product itself is really nice for book keeping and why I want to keep using but im about to find something different if I cant get some one to email me or call me back.

Cons

Customer service!!!!! I think I have emailed or messaged them 5-10 times and have never received a response or call back. Ive asked my friend who is a recruiter to get me a real persons email and phone number and they didnt respond. All I want to do is change my email address because the one on file doesn't work anymore.

### "An economical and efficient bill pay and invoicing software"

Overall Melio works great for bill pay, invoicing and A/P and A/R management.

Pros

The product is very easy to use and get employees onboarded. The software integrates seamlessly with QBO which works great.

Cons

The customer support is lacking and slow to respond. There is also a lack of control with voiding or cancelling payments.

Awesome! Makes it easy to send business payments with credit cards.

Pros

Melio makes it easy to send payments using my business credit card. It makes it easy to track payments to all vendors. Also, a low fee of 2.9% applies to credit card payments.

Cons

The payments do take several days to clear. I wish there was an expedited way to send payments.

### "Terrible company and customer service "

Terrible taking advantage of small business owners.

Pros

Nothing. Literally scammers. Will never ever work with them.

Cons

They stole 22k from me. My customer sent me 22k from thier platform and they took the money for over a week and didn’t send it to me. Then they canceled the payment over a week ago and still didnt refund the money to my client and when we call they say the supervisor will call me and hang up and he never calls

The fact that Melio charges no subscription fee makes it a strong competitor. In other words, it has the feeling that you only pay for what you use.

Pros

The best thing about Melio is that it has no subscription, so you can use it as long as you want, and your vendor don't need a Melio account to receive payments, reducing the gap between.

Cons

Melio has no mobile app and the support is not the best one.

### "Streamlined A/P and A/R"

I first did an informational webinar with Matthew. From there, I wanted to move forward and he has been an excellent support person every step along the way to a quickly functioning site for all of my Clients! Matthew works directly with his awesome Melio tech team to get everything set up correctly and to answer all of my questions!

Pros

It is great to have all my Clients on one easy platform to send payments on Bills and to receive funds on Invoices. It also makes it much easier on our Vendors as they have the option to receive a paper bill pay check, or an ACH transfer.

Cons

I am not experiencing any negatives. This is a great program working with Quickbooks Online.

Before discovering Melio, I tried dozens of other products and found every single one of them lacking in some way. Either they were too expensive for what they offered or they didn't offer key features we needed. We didn't even need a lot! Just needed to be able to pay vendors and track payments. Direct deposit was a bonus! Melio provided everything and for the unbelievable cost of $0.

Pros

Vendor payments, direct deposit, and account reports and the super low price.

Cons

I wasn't able to make payments to my social media manager in Jamaica. That is the only thing I've been unable to do.

### "Great App for processing Vendor payments "

Great! When a check was missing it was returned to my bank. When 2 checks never arrived, customer support reissued the checks.

Pros

Being able to process vendor payments easily without having to write checks, getting notifications when it has been deposited and able to track payments when needed.

Cons

It WAS not being able to pay multiple invoices to 1 vendor as once, but that is NOW a feature!

### "Easiest for New Business to get setup"

I have really liked using Melio, I have been able to customize the link I generate to send to my clients so that it auto populates our company bookkeeping invoice numbers and amounts. The client is then able to pay the invoice with whatever means they would like whether it is bank transfer, or Credit Card. I am able to pay my 1099 contractors easily with a direct deposit to their account, without having to manage obtaining their ACH information. They are able to register and setup which account to deposit their funds.

Pros

This makes it easy for anyone that needs to be able to receive and make payments online. The other guys make it difficult and expensive for small businesses to get started.

Cons

Would like to see other bookkeeping integrations so that I could integrate with Zoho Books.
