Pros Very easy to use and saves a huge amount of time reconciling Amazon settlements. It automatically separates sales, fees, VAT and refunds and sends everything neatly into my accounting software. Pros As someone who works in Accounting you just have so much thing to do, that's why automating things is the way to go to ease the work. Link my books helps us mostly in all of our Financial Reporting (specifically Sales Reporting) by integrating our Amazon Seller Central Account to our Accounting Software, But the best part among all of it, is their Customer Service. \[sensitive content hidden\] was really helpful to all of our queries and they are very patient with helping us as well. Cons Sometimes, There are settlements that can't be synced to our accounting software due to changes in Amazon rules. However, this is beyond their scope and the Customer Service Team will help you right away. Having our accounting on automation not only allows us to save money but to also focus on other areas of the business! Now, we don't actually need an accountant. It's all there automated and syncs across all of our sales channels including eBay, Amazon and Shopify. We use Quickbooks and can actually see all of our profit and expenses incurred per sales channel in real-time, which is perfect. At first we were skeptical but the free trial persuaded us. Looking back, I wish we had started earlier! Pros \- easy, simple, and intuitive to use. - amazing customer support. They are easy to reach and can actually jump on a call with them. - the overall price offering was the best. - the ability to put my accounting on autopilot. Cons \- The Product Groups feature is a little confusing to understand. Pros Link My Books is reasonably priced when compared to other competitors such as A2X. It saves us hours and hours of tapping up Amazon statements every month in Xero which is time that can be put to better use elsewhere. It is also updated when Amazon add new items to financial statements. If you are doing this manually, then it's easy for you to make mistakes when they are always changing things! The new EU threshold monitor offers a great "at-a-glance" view of your potential EU VAT liabilities. Customer support is excellent - very fast, responsive and driven by a genuine desire to help and support your business. Cons The price has been recently increased, so it isn't quite as "cheap" as it was. However, I can understand the need to increase prices as companies mature, hire more staff and develop new features over time LMB are continually improving the product, so there is extra value to go with the increase in cost. We split our company into multiple "businesses" into Xero to track the profitability of each sub brand. At the moment LMB doesn't divide these expenses from Amazon very cleanly, despite defining each business at a SKU / expense level in LMB. This means we have to approximate Amazon fees to each brand, which isn't ideal, but overall it's a very minor complaint. Only thing to look out for is that if your sales reduce to a level that would have you on a lower tier it doesn't automatically reduce your subscription cost - you've got to go to your account and manually make the switch. Simply a must have for any Amazon seller" July 9, 2022 5.0 I can't speak highly enough. To be honest I never have to log in or check my Amazon transactions because LMB have it covered. I simply don't have to use/log in to LMB at all which for me is the best part as it frees up so much of my time. Pros I love the one time set up and ease of integration into Xero and Amazon. I got my accountant to set up my tax mappings and I never need to worry about whether my Amazon transactions get imported into my Xero accounting software. I am also impressed at the customer service. Every time I have had a question it is always answered promptly and I feel like a valued customer. Finally what a great discount for the years subscription :) Cons I thought the set up was not that easy as LMB cannot help with tax questions which I fully understand. On the other hand my accountant who is a big A2X fan found LMB very simple to navigate and even told me they will sign up to be an affiliate as they had never heard of them. My biggest issue is that I had to sign up with a gmail email which I never use. It would be great to have additional email addresses added so I can receive LMB correspondence to my preferred email account. The customer support is top-tier, they will invariably reach out to you before you have even noticed an issue. I honestly Pros Bookkeeping for an Amazon retailer is complicated! However, after just a brief and simple setup with Link My Books, I have been managing this with ease for several years, with minimal time input and maximum efficiency. Cons Honestly, I can't think of a con. If I were Amazon, I would pay big bucks (we're talking 8 figures minimum) to buy Link My Books and integrate it directly into Seller Central! Owner Retail Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Excellent customer service and saves time and stress" February 22, 2021 5.0 I have two children in lockdown, in a business massively affected by Brexit, so a stressful situation that was made much easier with Link My Books. The software was fast to adapt to the changing situations, with good clear knowledge bases on the new set ups. I had a couple of queries as I went along and had great support from the Link My Books team - fast and knowledgeable. The only reason I gave 8 stars for the set up complexity is because it is complicated, but then its a complex subject and at least you only have to do it once unless there are major changes to the tax systems. I don't give recommendations unless I mean them, and this software has been a genuine help in difficult times, thank you. Pros Link my Books has honestly made my book-keeping life easier. Putting my Amazon transactions through at VAT return time used to be one of the things I dreaded most and it has become much faster now because I do it as I go along with minimum hassle. The implementation of Brexit changes and eBay managed payments would have been much more complex without this app too, and once set up was complete it is now just a matter of a few clicks each week and a double check I agree at VAT return time. Cons I wish I didn't need this software, because it is doing a job my accounting software could do but doesn't so I feel I am paying twice but that is not the fault of Link My Books. It is also a massive amount cheaper than paying a book-keeper so although I don't like paying (who does) it is worth it. The charging structure is also a lot more reasonable than most, so not really complaining! Alternatives considered [Dext Commerce](https://www.capterra.com/p/176834/Greenback/) Reason for choosing Link My Books I do use Greenback for my Woocommerce transactions, and attempted to use it for eBay managed payments but there was still a lot of clicking and confusion compared to Link my Books so I swapped for my eBay transactions too as soon as the option was available and I'm sure that was the right choice. This is automated to a degree that once you've been guided through the initial set up and been educated on the system itself, it can handle almost all of your Online Retail 3rd party platform Book Keeping Automatically. Until you actually try it for yourself it's hard to understand quite how much of a game changer this is. Data can be drilled into to check it has been synced and categorised/codes properly. The people who built it seem to understand business and typical UK accounting relatively well which is not common with other products. Pros We like most that it automates what would otherwise by a hugely cumbersome process Cons The only real issues are some very specific and small quirks -mainly with the UI - and a couple of workarounds are needed when these crop up.
