Pros FTR is a free download. The program is easy to use with a foot pedal, which makes transcribing hassle-free. It provides real-time access to court data for management and records. Cons There should be an option to cancel background noises. I used it with a foot pedal, which is easy to set up and allows me to fast forward and go backwards to listen to the audio as needed. Pros What I like best in the FTR is that I can manipulate the channels to hear each speaker clearly, especially when there is cross-talk. As well, it is useful when the audio is not clear on a channel and you need to listen to that part of the audio when transcribing. The playback allows me to speed up the audio if a speaker is talking slowly and slow down the audio if a speaker is talking too fast. Cons This software does not reduce or cancel background noises in the audio or static, which can be harsh on your ears.
