We had a subscription with AppmySite for over a year. Went fromAUD$49 a month to AUD$390 a month overnight with no authorisation at all and no communication. Tried to get explanation and fell on deaf ears, no response at all from company. Terrible customer service. They have no where to view tickets at all, thus they keep sending an email we haven't heard from you we will shut this down, although clearly you have replied. As a small to medium business owner, these are the problems you just don't need when trying to solve your technical problems. Getting started is straightforward and there are no ways to mess it up. Just follow the steps, install the plugin in Wordpress and in a few minutes you'll have your own app file ready to upload into Google Play and App Store. Very easy and quick. I see it can set itself as an industry leader with more development, but the cost of the plan packages need adjustment so that this can become the go-to choice even for smaller websites with smaller budgets. Maybe if they would just offer a basic webview package for a smaller price, a lot more people would find out about AppMySite. I know people who want a simple webview app for their blog, nothing too fancy - who could use AppMySite, but the cost doesn't justify it for them. All in all I'm satisfied with the ease and speed with which AppMySite can create an app out of almost any Wordpress site, and would recommend it to anyone who want and app and can afford it. Pros The interface is very easy to use and straightforward. The setup just guides you step by step to setup everything you need in order to make your website app. It also has features for woocommerce. It has all the features needed to make a pretty basic app, and if your website has some specific thing you can still use the webview option. It works great and it's a good choice for 90% of use cases out there. They also have features for push notifications, logins or signups using Google or Facebook. You can make use of monetization using Google Admob ads. And some interesting addons. The development is pretty active and they have addressed bugs found in the past. It looks like it's heading in the right direction. Cons It is pretty expensive as it's a monthly recurring cost. And the plans do seem to be incomplete. For example, to get Analytics you either have to buy an addon at a yearly price or get the most expensive plan, the premium plan. You'd think that Analytics is something basic that all plans need, but it comes at an extra cost. You want a chat feature? It costs extra! You want a consent popup? It costs extra. Depending on the type of website you're going to want to use this for, the cost might not be justified if it's just a blog or a site with a small audience. We payed for a yearly Pro plan and our app is stil stuck on the preview plan for more than 48 hours. This is while our app is live and used by customers. Pros Loved the easy setup wizard it took me roughly 45 Mins(Including Photoshoping my splash screen and icon) to have a demo set up and ready on my phone to view and showcase in a meeting. Cons Wish there was an agency Whitelabel option where I can deploy more than one and it looks like my company software. Reason for choosing AppMySite The overall onboarding experience is excellent and fast and simplified. Price-wise it was not the cheapest, however, the quality made it more appealing, and it's relatively priced well compared to the other higher priced systems its a perfect balance. I was excited when I first signed on as it appears to check off most of the boxes that we needed to develop an app for our client, but quickly realized that their so called "push notifications" are only within the platform and doesn't connect to the main website, so there's really no way to provide automated push notifications. The client would have to advise us of what messaging they wanted for EVERY PUSH NOTIFICATION - and even then there's no way to provide a direct link for the user to click through. It's ridiculous.Spent way too much time going back and forth with support and all they would say is that it would technically work through a webview as long as the main website provided the push notifications...and that the user didn't have the app open....and that they current are not on the app. LOL. How do you say that you provide push notifications when it's nowhere near how a legitimate app would function. Just got a disappointing message for billing saying that they would not provide a refund, so we're out the money (even though it's on $49...it's the principle) and wasted 4 days waiting for support to get us a solution.Will never use their service again - don't care how much more they put into the platform to get it right. Pros Cool dashboard - easy to use. The UX and good. Cons Misleading functionality - say they can convert your wordpress website and provide push notifications but it's only a function that they have within their platform - it doesn't work through the website.
