CEO Information Technology and Services Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Was not impressed, until I bought it" October 15, 2021 4.0 I feel this is straight forward and easy to use for beginner for SEO and Keyword research Pros I was initially not impressed with it, due to some reviews and questions asked are showing that the solution is not mature yet with some bugs and so on. However, after I tested out the trial, i decided to get it, since there is a refund period. I made the right choice! With the proper extensive testing across multiple domains and competitors, with a few days of proper data populating. I am quite impressed and finally see the value and the direction it is going toward. I am early looking forward to the features stated in the roadmap, and most of all I like how responsive their team is. Support or question sometime have delays or slow, but to me it is understandable since we are working all in different time zone, and also weekends, and COVID19 really do impact a lot. Also it is comforting when you do see the team adding minor features, big fixes, and response to issue, or at least acknowledge the issues exist. Being active on their own blog and FB group is a big plus, some of the guide and articles put out is quite user friendly for those who just starting out. All in all, I am glad that I bought it and tested it out properly across multiple domain & with a few days of data populating and monitoring. Cons Site Audit have some bugs, or obviously weird result. But the others category of fixes did help me found out few of the issues I wasn't aware of. I was really impressed with this tool when I first got it—so much so that I even purchased add-ons. However, since last year, a permanent “Upgrade to Proceed” banner has made it unusable. I reached out to support, and they assured me it would be fixed, but nothing has changed. Forcing lifetime deal users to pay again is unfair and misleading. Disappointing experience. Pros The Competition Analysis feature is my favorite. At a glance I can see where my customers' business stands against local competition. SEO Audit is quite in-depth for a tool that is more geared toward keyword and rank tracking. Cons Although reports look great, I am hoping for more robust descriptions. The tool is fairly new but the UI is really great. The workflow for domain setup is very smooth and logical. Pros Very easy to read and analyze the data. Stat seem to be quite accurate. Many options for search engines and desktop v mobile tracking. Cons Currently the keyword difficulty is not the easiest to determine as it is hidden and has to be manually requested. This should be solved soon according to support. Unless you’re doing crazy amounts of keyword research in one session its not that big of a deal. I signed up for the annual plan, realized within 24 hours that I'd made a mistake, and immediately requested a refund. Ranktracker flat-out refused, hiding behind anti-consumer fine print instead of basic fairness. Paying a full year’s fee for something I can’t use feels like daylight robbery. Their CEO was dismissive, their policies inflexible, and the whole experience left me feeling cheated. Avoid Ranktracker at all costs. There are plenty of tools that value their customers more than their cancellation clauses. Pros Absolutely nothing. Taking into account that within the platform I have been left with customer metrics that I have never been able to access again, well yes, it is a very negative experience. :( Pros The tool has different sections where you can search for keywords, you can upload a project linked to a website, you can compare with competitors, you can analyze competitors, you can track keywords for each project among other things, it is an all-in-one tool . Cons In 2021 I acquired a lifetime license, the product was in development and in need of financing. I used the tool and it worked well based on what I was contracted for. Last year (2023) the Ranck Tracker company decided not to honor the agreement it had with lifetime users and blocked access to the tool for all of them. Since then, when one proceeds to log in, one can only access a page where one can purchase an annual subscription to re-enable the tool. From four months ago until now, the responses from \[sensitive content hidden\] and the support group are that they are going to check the issue and that if I need to use the tool, I should purchase the annual support subscription. Then one day I found Ranktracker in Appsumo deal. It was offering LTD and I needed a lifetime rank tracking tool for monitoring day to day improvement of my site. I took the chance and bought it's tier-1 deal where I can track up to 150 keywords, explore 1000 keyword ideas and can analyze 40 competitors. I started using it and falling in love with that. Now I repent for why not I went for tier-2 deal! Pros I mainly purchased this rank tracking tool for monitoring day to day position of my site's keyword. What I get is extremely out of my expectation. Along with rank tracking feature it also helps in keywords idea generation, competitor analysis, content gap analysis and what I loved most it helps in auditing site. The 'Ranktracker' facilitates tracking keywords based on device, country and language along with traffic each keyword is getting & SERP of ranked sites and it also provide KD score based on number of linking domains. I also liked its keyword research feature. I just needed to place the seed keyword in its keyword finder and it came up with a bunch of ideas, suggestions and related terms in few seconds which helped me lot in keyword selection to write the article on. You can select the country also while researching for keywords which is awesome. Another feature I loved is its reporting feature. For those who works for clients can easily send SEO reports daily, weekly & monthly to any email address which adds an extra layer of value for this tool. Site audit feature is a game changer for this tool. It crawls the site and expose every SEO issues to be fixed in auditing section. Ranktracker has a great customer support team who responds almost instantly and posts tutorials & blogs on how to effectively use this tool & winning first position in search engine. Overall it has been a great decision to purchase this tool. It is worthy of recommendation. Cons No tool is perfect. Ranktracker has also some problems I encountered & I hope they will fix these. The most important problem I faced is delay in showing results. It takes up to 30 seconds sometimes even more to show the results which is quite boring. I think the organic traffic they show beside each keyword tracked, doesn't show the actual result. Ranktracker need to add backlink explorer feature as it wants to emerge as an SEO tool in the market. And also it should take steps to develop a content optimization feature. Pros Ranktracker was great at tracking keywords and checking the status of my website in comparison to the general market. Cons It's completely inaccessible. No matter which link I click when logged in, it takes me to the 'plans' page. This is the case for the thousands of people who paid for Ranktracker through AppSumo. I've reached out to support, and I know many others have (I've seen many posts / comments in a software group I'm in), but they refuse to do anything about it. They've basically just taken our money and said they won't do anything unless we pay more for a support plan. The SEO Analysis and website recommendations are totally worthless, keyword tracking is ok, but is cutted to just some keywords. If you want more, you will have to pay again. It's so important not know how a web page ranks, or not as the case may be. But more importantly you need to know what action to take in order to to improve your rankings and that is where rank tracker stands out from other tools in my opinion. Pros The feature that's best in my opinion is the site audit that provides steps you can actually put into action yourself. Rank tracker has a lot of useful features with sufficient information so anyone is able to change and improve their site to get better ranking results. You don't need vast amount of technical knowledge. This is where the product excels in my opinion. Cons It's relatively new compared to some other SEO tools so there are a few minor bugs and things could be improved a bit. I love the ability to see keyword groupings by page, and how easy it is to manage multiple sites. The team behind it also seems to really care. Cons It's still in beta, so has gone offline a few times but never more than a couple hours. Also, the mobile experience could be improved by putting the rank and the keyword next to each other. Right now you have to swipe left and right for every single keyword in order to see the ranking. I'm sure they are working on that though! My experience with their customer support is that they look to blame the end-user for unanswered support questions - they do not have a proper ticketing support system in place and when they are questioned, they block you on facebook. The \[SENSITIVE CONTENT\] also takes angry rants as "threats" and cannot take on any criticism of his "support team", which would actually only appear to be him. Honestly, I would not bother as this prevailing poor attitude underlines and undermines the perceived quality of the product. Pros seems like it compares with most of the similar products out there, though not a comprehensive Cons Appalling customer support systems - for this reason alone I wouldn't bother. Atrocious business practice of an otherwise decent piece of software.
