However, after I tested out the trial, i decided to get it, since there is a refund period. I made the right choice! With the proper extensive testing across multiple domains and competitors, with a few days of proper data populating. I am quite impressed and finally see the value and the direction it is going toward. I am early looking forward to the features stated in the roadmap, and most of all I like how responsive their team is. Support or question sometime have delays or slow, but to me it is understandable since we are working all in different time zone, and also weekends, and COVID19 really do impact a lot. Also it is comforting when you do see the team adding minor features, big fixes, and response to issue, or at least acknowledge the issues exist. Being active on their own blog and FB group is a big plus, some of the guide and articles put out is quite user friendly for those who just starting out. All in all, I am glad that I bought it and tested it out properly across multiple domain & with a few days of data populating and monitoring. Cons Site Audit have some bugs, or obviously weird result. But the others category of fixes did help me found out few of the issues I wasn't aware of. Looking forward to the improved version of the site audit. Pros RankTracker bring real SEO and SERP data analytics to a clean, well-thought UI providing a great user experience. Cons As a product in its infancy, there are some UI bugs to work out. I signed up for the annual plan, realized within 24 hours that I'd made a mistake, and immediately requested a refund. Ranktracker flat-out refused, hiding behind anti-consumer fine print instead of basic fairness. Paying a full year’s fee for something I can’t use feels like daylight robbery. Their CEO was dismissive, their policies inflexible, and the whole experience left me feeling cheated. Avoid Ranktracker at all costs. There are plenty of tools that value their customers more than their cancellation clauses. Pros Absolutely nothing. I would most like to be able to get a refund (requested within 24 hours, mind you), for a whole year's subscription, which they refuse based on anti-consumer practices. Terrible. Cons The fact that we were not be able to get a refund (which we requested ASAP), for a whole year's subscription, which they refuse based on anti-consumer practices. Terrible. Review Source Tang H. I am extremely satisfied with their rank tracking feature. Pros Ranktracker is the all-in-one platform for SEO that I was looking for. I love how it combines everything you need into one place, including rank tracking, keyword research, site testing, and more. The feature that impresses me the most is still rank tracking, I like its user interface and data fetching speed. Cons I think they need to improve on the keyword research and audit feature. I have tried to use other tools that were either too complicated to make use of the data, or too expensive with constant upsells. RankTracker is a great fit for my use cases. Pros The Competition Analysis feature is my favorite. At a glance I can see where my customers' business stands against local competition. SEO Audit is quite in-depth for a tool that is more geared toward keyword and rank tracking. Cons Although reports look great, I am hoping for more robust descriptions. Not all features are intuitive; I had to do a lot of random clicking to figure out how to drill down to the information I need especially in the SEO Audit. I was really impressed with this tool when I first got it—so much so that I even purchased add-ons. However, since last year, a permanent “Upgrade to Proceed” banner has made it unusable. I reached out to support, and they assured me it would be fixed, but nothing has changed. Forcing lifetime deal users to pay again is unfair and misleading. Disappointing experience. Pros It was really good when I just got this software. Cons I think their business practices as tarnished their reputation for me. They offer you a good deal "lifetime" and then when they get all your data they ask money to get access. Ransomware in another word... I'm Dr. Willy Portier, the owner of \[sensitive content hidden\] and this review is not fake. In case of doubt, feel free to contact me by Linkedin... Pros That was doing more or less the job during many months Cons The fact that app becomes a ransomware by stopping the license which I bought lifetime. And now they have all our data. It provides me all SEO features to complete my project like SEO checklist, auditing in such an easy way. Moreover, anyone can quickly understand without any hassle. I tested with other similar tools, In my opinion Rank Tracker is one the best among them. Pros By using the Rank tracker, I track my website keyword's actual organic search position. Comparing with other similar tools I get that its provided mot accurate data based on organic research. Rank tracker has well designed & very easy user-friendly interface. In the Rank Tracker, I like most, the result I get from my search is very easy to understand. With the Audit feature and SEO checklist, which is cool for me, I can able to provide services to my clients more accurately. I got all the features in APPSUMO at a such cheap rate, that's why I can easily test this tool, the result is pretty good for me. They recently add GMB position search option, it's something interesting. Cons I was wondering, they need to improve the keyword difficulty section, we need to click on the small icon after search to view the keyword difficulties. They should add this in the default search section. Switched from [Moz Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/152215/Moz-Pro/) I got the deal in APPSUMO at a cheap rate, definitely worth trying. The tool is fairly new but the UI is really great. The workflow for domain setup is very smooth and logical. Pros Very easy to read and analyze the data. Stat seem to be quite accurate. Many options for search engines and desktop v mobile tracking. Cons Currently the keyword difficulty is not the easiest to determine as it is hidden and has to be manually requested. This should be solved soon according to support. Unless you’re doing crazy amounts of keyword research in one session its not that big of a deal. Switched from [Semrush](https://www.capterra.com/p/151962/SEMrush/) We have other specific tools like Frase for content analysis. Pros This is a very good rank tracker with accurate results. Have shared the dashboards with clients and they are happy the rankings match actual positioning for keywords. Cons Not many issues here, it does what it is marketed as and will only get better with age. Be good to be able to connect search console and analytics. Hopefully this is a feature that gets implemented soon. Alternatives considered [Semrush](https://www.capterra.com/p/151962/SEMrush/) Reason for choosing Ranktracker UI. It is also easy to use and understand, which sets it apart from many of the other "professional" SEO sites. With the included tutorials I was able to get up and running very quickly without having to go to help files or FAQs. Pros For those who don't know much about SEO, Ranktracker has a great tutorial section on SEO and "How To Rank", as well as a really nice onboarding/guided tour feature to explain the interface and the tools available. The dashboard is a clean and easy to understand at-a-glance view of your SEO but not lacking in detail. I love how I can search globally to find the best keywords, including niche and long-tail keywords. The combination of difficulty rating and search volumes helps in decision-making on the best keywords to use. The Keyword Finder is great for searching out additional keywords beyond those you may have thought of. I like to see how my competition is ranking and how I rank compared to them. (I discovered that most of my competitors are NOT utilizing SEO to the fullest, so this has opened up multiple opportunities that I would not have been aware of if I hadn't been using Ranktracker!) The SERP checker is another tool that is invaluable for checking the competition, comparing my ranking and finding those opportunities to assist in improving my SERP ranking. The Web Audit is useful for hunting down and fixing SEO related issues on a website. I like how my site is compared to competitors to expose areas where I can improve my standing and maybe even gain a competitive edge. Cons There are a few things, like a backlink tool and a content tool that I would find useful (they are on the roadmap). Reason for choosing Ranktracker I am relatively new to the world of SEO. I have checked out products related to SEO and have found most of them very complex and confusing. I didn't feel that I should invest in something I didn't even know how to get a result from! Ranktracker took all the fear and overwhelm away. Ranktracker has a good tutorial section on SEO and "How To Rank", as well as a really nice onboarding/guided tour feature to explain the interface and the tools available. For each tool, you can click on the Guided App Tour to walk you through the related section. Many tools are way beyond the price point for me as a small business. Ranktracker's value/price ratio is very high delivering much more than most competitors at a very attractive price. October 21, 2021 5.0 My overall impression of RankTracker is quite obvious - it's really good. Worth mentioning too is their great support. It's a UK company and despite that it's in the middle of the night for them, they respond interactively in the customer support chat. I am amazed! So in all: Excellent product/service. Needs a few improvements in the website audit, but improvements are coming rapidly, the developers and the product management are really responsive to the customers and new features are launched often. My overall rating is 5 stars out of 5 possible. Pros The rank tracking is in it's own league. When I compare it to other services, RankTracker stands out clearly as the better option. This company is listening a lot to its users so I am sure that the future will also come with a lot of new features. Just today, just as an example, they added a feature that many had asked for. Speedy delivery of a new feature that made the product much more versatile. Cons Without any doubt the website audit. It does many things right, but why doesn't t for instance recognize that URL rewrite IS enabled, that there are defined 404 pages etc? I just ignore that feature for now and wait for it to become excellent too, as the rest of the tool. Review Source Response from RankTracker November 1, 2021 Thank you so much for the review! However, my experience has been nothing short of a disappointment. Despite the initial promise of a lifetime subscription, Rank Tracker knowingly deactivated all paid accounts for AppSumo users without providing any viable solutions or answers. The lack of communication and transparency from Rank Tracker is alarming. After reaching out for support, I was met with silence, leaving me without access to a service I had invested in. This not only reflects poorly on the company's integrity but also raises questions about their commitment to customer satisfaction. A lifetime deal should signify a lasting partnership, but Rank Tracker's actions suggest otherwise. Potential buyers beware – investing in this software might result in frustration and financial loss. It's disheartening to see a company engage in such deceptive practices, and I would strongly advise against choosing Rank Tracker for your SEO needs. Pros The short period of time it worked, before they knowingly deactivated the paid account. Cons It's a scam. They took 300 dollars and shortly after deactivated the account. Initially, everything was smooth, with the service operating as advertised, which filled me with hope and satisfaction. However, the honeymoon period did not last long. The service inexplicably stopped, rendering my investment virtually pointless. The problem arose not from a temporary outage, which we can all understand, but from the company's flagrant lack of responsiveness and responsibility. Review Source DG Dennis G. August 18, 2022 1.0 It's just an overall bad experience, Support is non-existent, they will tell they will fix this and that and 0 happens. During 20 years in marketing, this is my worst experience. Ranktracker.com has a great website, and it looks professional, but you will soon find out it is as bad as it gets. Even though they of course knew the many chats that their product didn't work as described, they refused to refund my money, they simply don't care. This tool is not suitable for any company that work professional with their clients. Pros Their UI is great, but that's about everything good I have to say. Cons Their backlink monitor is not even close to be accurate, most free tools do a better job. As a Professional backlink, is everything. And there were features like pages that should be crawled, and it just didn't work at all. Reason for choosing Ranktracker Mainly because of price, but it was a though learning! Review Source Response from RankTracker August 24, 2022 Hello Dennis, After you paid, you got instant access on your account. I checked the chat and I saw that you were logging in with another account & you confirmed it worked 20mins after you purchased. RankTracker has some cool features and their updates continue to be positive and mostly useful. Pros The kw rankings are accurate and the local kw rankings appear to be the same, so far. Cons Even though I purchased a lifetime license, they put the price for annual support on my dashboard and do not give me access to my dashboard. This situation is not ethical or professional, they want to force me to buy a subscription when I have a lifetime license. It's not the most detailed analysis tool, but it does have some features that are useful for keeping track of how your articles are ranking. The UI and UX is pleasant to look at, which is always a plus in my book. Pros Ranktracker is a great tool for people who are looking to keep track of the changes in their website's rank. It's simple to use, and it gives you pretty much all the information you need right in one place. The software allows you to run keyword research at a basic level. It also performs a site audit, providing actionable steps to improve your ranking. And most importantly, it also keeps track of how my articles are ranking, which is super helpful because it helps me know if I'm doing well with SEO or not. The UI is clean and polished, which makes for an overall pleasant experience with the software. The user interface is easy to navigate and allows you to easily perform all the functions you need. Cons There are some things that could be improved. The software is slow at times and needs more detailed analysis especially when it comes to backlinks and competitor analysis. I’d also like to see a more full featured keyword search feature, but I guess that might be asking for too much since its main focus is on rank tracking. Review Source Jannis F.
