After moving away from spreadsheets, we immediately noticed a major improvement in communication and overall training flow. Every time we update a training plan, clients receive a push notification on their phone and instantly know that a new version is available. This makes it easier for them to stay consistent and engaged. For our coaching team, the platform has simplified the entire process. We can plan workouts faster, reuse templates, communicate clearly inside the app, and analyze training data in one place instead of jumping between multiple tools. It has made our coaching workflow more structured, more professional, and significantly more scalable. Pros We struggled for a long time to find a modern and efficient way to manage training plans and support our coaching process. We work with around 180 clients, preparing them for trekking and mountain expeditions, as well as supporting both road runners and trail runners. For years we relied on Google Sheets templates to plan their training, but over time it became clear that this approach had many limitations. Analyzing workouts in Garmin and logging into multiple training platforms forced us to use several different tools just to properly track progress and evaluate results. Good Coach App stood out immediately because of how easy it is for clients to use. Unlike many training apps that require clients to pay for their own accounts or charge high fees for workout analytics, Good Coach App is simple, clear, and intuitive. At the same time, programming training sessions as coaches is much faster and more convenient than with competing solutions. One of the biggest advantages for us is that we can communicate with clients directly inside the app and analyze their training thanks to the integration with their sports watches. We can also add training videos directly to workouts, which helps us clearly demonstrate how to perform specific exercises. The option to attach files to training sessions is another great feature, as it makes it much easier to share training methodology and additional materials. From a business perspective, we also use staff accounts for our office team, allowing them to manage clients, create new accounts, assign clients to specific coaches, and remove accounts once a client ends their cooperation with us. This has made our internal processes far more organized and efficient. Another key feature for us is the ability to create workout templates. When preparing clients for running events, we have built around 300 templates, including both aerobic base training and interval sessions. This allows us to program training plans extremely quickly without rewriting the same sessions repeatedly. Workouts are also automatically synced to devices such as Garmin and KOROS, which saves time and makes the process seamless for our clients. It has really simplified what were before a lot of time-consuming tasks. For me the main pros as a coach are: - 2 free linked athletes, so you can try out all the features before deciding to sign up more athletes - very affordable monthly cost - easy integration with most smartwatches, so athletes don't need to manually add their workouts, and a lot of data displayed when importing so I can see pace, HR, etc. quite clearly - good interface in both the mobile and desktop versions, info is easy to see and to get to; there are a lot of custom settings available such as HR zones, different colours for different types of workputs, making it easy to see things at a glance - automatic notifications when my athletes have completed their workouts - possibility to easily copy and duplicate workouts and to use templates for standard workouts, saves a lot of time - best of all, support is excellent, they are happy to take on board suggestions from users and implement changes Cons Not really any major problems, the app is really easy to use.
