December 17, 2025 4.0 I finally took the time to sync the SKUs for my Etsy shop with my independent website. The whole process will go much quicker if your SKUs already match (took longer for me since they weren't). This was the only thing holding me up to finally using Trunk to sync them. Having those two online shops synced has been such a weight lifted off of my shoulders. Where it is really amazing is keeping track of stock of an item that is used in multiple orders/SKUs. I am still slowly getting it more and more functional for myself, and very happy that I took the time to set it all up. I look forward to seeing additional organization capabilities in the future. Overall, it takes time to set up, but become more and more useful the more I do. Pros Main reason I use this application: you can sync listing inventory between Etsy and Squarespace (along with other common platforms). You can set the system to alert you when stock drops below a designated threshold. Where it is really amazing is keeping track of stock of an item that is used in multiple orders/SKUs. One order placed on a platform can set up to pull inventory for all components used to create the item for that order. This allows to better keep track of all inventory, such as packing material. I didn't realize how useful this option would be. Cons I can't create categories to organize my inventory, and more easily search for specific items to link them as an item to a listing or to restock them. If I want to make an edit that effects many inventory items, I have to make those changes to each item rather than being able to make that change to multiple items at one time. We have special pricing set up for our members and that was a nightmare to do behind the scenes before we started working with Trunk. They reach out a lot to you and are willing to extend your trial, though when I asked about it, the response time was noticeably longer. We are otherwise very happy with the service and will continue use, as $40/month for the Pro Plan was exactly what we needed. Pros The great price point, the platform is absolutely user friendly, and the availability of customer service help. Cons The offer to extend our trial took longer to communicate. I was out of office working remote and could not get to our shared payment account to update our subscription. It could have impacted a critical sale. Now, all I do is update my inventories on a single site and it ripples out across the other stores automatically. Cons Although the monthly pricing is a bit high at the moment for my taste, I've found it works great to turn on Trunk before my busy season around the holidays to make sure I'm not overselling my inventory. Trunk was recommended in a mastermind group I’m part of, and it solved the problem immediately. It keeps my inventory accurate across platforms and saves me a huge amount of time every week. I’m also planning to transition from Squarespace to Shopify later this year, and knowing Trunk will handle that easily gives me a lot of confidence. I even run an educational program for artists starting product businesses and Trunk is the only inventory system I plan to recommend. Pros Trunk is incredibly easy to set up and does exactly what I need without being overly complicated. I had it connected to all my sales channels in about an hour. It syncs inventory across everything automatically, which immediately removed a huge amount of stress from my business. I didn’t realize how much time I was spending managing inventory until Trunk took it off my plate. It’s also a very clean interface without a bunch of unnecessary features cluttering things. Cons At first I thought there were no reporting options, or at least I couldn’t find them. I reached out to customer service and they were able to generate the report I needed right away and told me they can do that any time. So honestly I don’t really have any cons. Managing my inventory the way I wanted to was not available to Squarespace. Now that I am using Trunk, what I wanted to do is a reality now. Pros Trunk has made the customization options of my business a possibility. I am able to manage my inventory exactly how I want to now. Cons For my business, I have pre-cut fabric that is limited, and shirt sizes that I can reorder over and over that are unlimited. Because of this, it makes it a lengthy process to manage options, as there are so many variants. So I guess simplifying the process for "customize/build your shirt" websites. Pros I have a website and an Etsy shop, and trying to monitor inventory with a spreadsheet was a nightmare The lady helping me with finessing my shops said I needed an inventory tracker that would keep my product counts up to date, so we went searching. We tried another first, but it did not update quantities quickly. It would take over 30 minutes, which could create issues. So, we went back to the drawing board and found Trunk. It updates immediately and makes it easy to keep on top of my stock. It is super easy to use, and so far, it has proven secure. I have had no bugs or issues. It is well worth 35 to not fret about how much I have of a product. It has really helped. Thank you. Cons I wish I could link the brick and mortar ships I am in. I started with a different platform and quickly switched to Trunk as it keeps track of sales going in both directions. The help menu covered all of my questions, and Trunk's customer service was great. Pros Getting set up was easy. I used the SKU numbers provided by squarespace and copied them into my Etsy listings. That was pretty much it. Not having to worry about tracking items manually saves me so much time! Cons Trunk is great! Initially, I worked with WooCommerce, and now I'm using Shopify, and with both platforms, Trunk is perfect! It’s easy to manage. I’ve tried other, slightly cheaper apps, but I was terribly disappointed. My stock levels kept changing without me doing anything, so I went back to Trunk. My situation is amplified as we make Custom wood grips and making 3 or more of the same item is just not a viable option, when we found Trunk it was like finding a bag of money, literally, as it saved us thousands just from the multiple platforms of selling and not overselling. Where it really saves us is the bundling, that alone is an invaluable tool. Without Trunk our inventory would be a nightmare on our own website. We are in process of selling exclusively on our website and without Trunk our inventory levels would need to be quadruple what we are able to actually have. Customer service is 6 stars out of 5, they are right there to help you however they can. For the last three years, we’ve put considerable effort into managing, across both platforms, our ever-changing inventory of 500 individual crystal and mineral pieces. Today, with Trunk Inventory, our ETSY and Squarespace platforms sync automatically whenever there is a sale. Trunk Inventory gives us back a critical resource that small businesses can always use - time. Pros Implementation (linking our Etsy and Squarespace inventories) was simple! Trunk keeps our inventories synced, so we'll never have another piece that sells twice because it sold it on one platform and wasn't manually removed from our second platform. Cons We'd like to be able to download our combined inventories in a single CSV. We used to shuffle inventory around to ensure we had enough items to fulfill all the variants of our vow books and greeting card bundles. Now we can just set up a parent SKU, and when someone purchases any of the items tied to it, it magically updates, and my team never has to panic again! We have a website as well as an etsy shop, selling products that require THOUSANDS of variants/SKUs + with our recent increase in sales (+ as a team of only two) we were struggling to maintain inventory accurately + efficiently. Trunk solved our initial problem + we discovered that it solved much more than we anticipated! Not only does it sync our inventory across both platforms quickly + seamlessly (having to only update on one platform saves an incredible amount of time!), but best of all, it auto-adjusts our products with materials that rely on each other. The initial configuration was at first confusing + quite time consuming (due to the nature of our products), but we we're beyond impressed with the level of customer service provided by the owner through every step + the time spent was well worth it! Over all very great experience! Pros Trunk has helped us immensely in managing our component based inventory. We were at a loss for how to keep track of all of our fine jewelry materials across all of different sku’s but Trunk’s platform swooped in with a process that does just that! The customer service was available right away to help me with any questions and made getting our inventory and components plugged into the system a breeze. When we were still evaluating we were deciding between Trunk and other inventory control software that was much more complex.
