May 20, 2019 5.0 The customer service and functionality of Assessment Generator have been amazing. I used a basic form company before and I have loved this one so much more. Highly recommend! Pros I am able to use it as a pretest-posttest for my clients with complex scoring as well as an application to vet potential customers and unqualify people who are not a good fit for my business. Cons There have been a couple of minor things like not being able to access my account on mobile and a glitch here and there. Nothing major. Pros The range of functionality at this price point was unparalleled when we chose it. It allowed us to create bespoke assessments that provide meaningful results for our clients, rather than having to fit into the box of big brand survey tools or quiz software. Cons It takes some getting used to at first, but thankfully the support is fantastic and any questions are responded to quickly. I would love further personalisation options for clients to make the experience even more tailored, but for this price, I think we get great value. Reason for choosing Agolix Though I can't remember the names of the alternatives we considered, what I do remember is that we chose Assessment Generator because it didn't just offer quiz options, it also offered assessment options and that's what we wanted. It provided the ability to create and customise questions and reports and had so many options for tailoring the look and feel that they were head and shoulders above the competition. This is a game changer for us AND for our clients. The flexibility and customizability of Assessment Generator, combined with a caring and responsive team of professionals, is everything we could have asked for. The subscription price is very reasonable for what you get and their pricing for customization and the turnaround time for programming has been very reasonable as well. Pros Setting up and launching our first assessment took less than an hour. The interfaces are intuitive and yet robust. Reporting capabilities and ability to customize those reports is a critical functionality that Assessment Generator has in spades. When we were first considering adopting the platform, question randomization was not an option. I e-mailed support to ask if I just wasn't looking in the right place. They informed me that they were working on that feature and it should be launched soon. Within a week, it was there! I realize that they had been working on this feature already and that it was just coincidence that it came out just as I was asking about it. But this demonstrated to me that they are listening to clients and actively working on improvements based upon their clients needs. Cons We haven't come across anything yet that we would consider a weakness. No product can be perfect to everyone's needs in every way without being so complex that it would break your budget and you would need a team of experts devoted to setting it up and maintaining it (e. g. SalesForce). This being said, Assessment Generator has done an excellent job of developing a platform that has enough for most with an ease of use and price point that are perfect with the option of customizing further to more closely align with any organization's needs. When I've asked them if their product could do certain things, the answer may have been no at the time but that didn't stop them from making it happen. I like the fact that they are looking for ways to improve the product and are open to discussion when needs are not being met. Pros I like the ability to create what I want and need for my projects. Other vendors with similar products didn't have the flexibility I was looking for. Before I started I had to grade all my assessments manually and that took a lot of time out of my day. After, now I have that time back. Both the taker and I get instant results plus the taker is linked to a mini-course and my newsletters from my email server instantaneously. I started with one assessment and now have created several unique to my client attraction strategy. Pros My favorite feature is the ability to customize it to fit my brand. From the colors to add my logo and my photo. Even though I consider myself tech-savvy Assessment Gen. is easy to use without having to know code programming. I can color code the types of results in a bar graph making it a more professional experience. Cons One of the titles of the segments can be confusing causing me to waste time and creating frustration when I just want to make a simple change in a specific section in a Type-based assessment. Suggested renames: Types: Results type I've also had challenges when I want to increase the font size from 12 to 14. Even when I set the font size to 14 in the setup. It works in some sections but not in others. Is there a way to add bullets points? Even though the help desk is awesome I'd like to be able to sort out my problem the same day and not have to wait 24 hours or more. Reason for choosing Agolix At the time there was not a platform that could do what AG could do. Occasionally I will look at an alternative that would possibly save me money and do the same thing or do it better but they're just isn't one out there. I also enjoy the fact that the developers create improvements without changing around the entire platform. I hate to have to learn something all over again every time an upgrade comes along. Right now just part of existing programs. Am looking at other ways I can use it. Pros I've used the Assessment Generator to create assessments for several different environments: an assessment of "future" thinking on technologies, an HR/Career Assessment of Burnout, and an assessment of "Time Focus." I like the flexibility of the creation process, particularly the ability to duplicate questions to preserve the options/format for answers. The main reason I originally tried AG was the ability to calculate responses into categories -- something I could not find or do with "survey software. Cons I don't know exactly how to phrase this but I would like some better reporting options for graphs. I currently have at least one in my account and would really like to build another where there is a "scaling" of scores. Don't know if there is an easy or relatively easy way to do this but a score of "10" may be at the 50th percentile on one factor but at the 90th percentile on another. Something I would make use of . Definitely an advanced element for interpretation. Also the limited number of assessments aviallbe per tier is prohibitive. I would use the tool more if the pricing was more amenable to a business of my size for this type of tool. Also the backend of editign assesmnts and changing questisn is a bit clunky and we have had to rewrtie some asessments from scratch once we realized in tesing that it did not perform the way would like it to. We are always trying to improve our user interface, both for assessment authors and respondents. Your comments are very helpful in that regard. We welcome your feedback on the pricing and limitations of the various tiers in our software. If you don't need all of your assessments at the same time, you might consider disabling some that aren't being actively used. Disabled assessments don't count toward your account limits. I'm sorry that you've had to re-do work because you weren't able to make the changes you needed through our user interface.
