The attendee experience is also simple, with easy access through a QR code or link. Overall, Vevox has been a reliable and user-friendly solution for audience engagement. Pros The ease of use. Vevox is very intuitive on both the admin and attendee sides. Creating and managing polls is straightforward, and attendees can quickly join using either a QR code or link. We also like having polling and Q&A functionality in one platform, which makes it easy to incorporate audience engagement into our events without adding unnecessary complexity. Cons We haven’t encountered any major issues with Vevox so far. Some of the additional functionality, such as the presentation features, isn’t something we currently need for our events, so we haven’t had much opportunity to explore those features. The overall experience was easy and smooth. I was able to create survey questions at the last minute, just before class. Very easy, very flexible. Pros I liked that I had access to everything I signed up for -- word clouds, survey exports to Excel, and importantly for a busy scholar/teacher, ease of use -- for a reasonable price, as an individual user. Cons My only complaints is that you have to decide on renewing a month in advance. To me, that's not a good policy. I particularly appreciate that it avoids unnecessary aesthetic design features that could slow down performance, especially when running PowerPoint presentations with embedded Vevox quiz slides while screen sharing or recording. I use Vevox regularly for knowledge-check quizzes at the end of lectures and for revision sessions before student exams. The platform enables students to self-assess their understanding while also allowing me to identify common areas of confusion and address them in real time. I primarily use the multiple-choice and word cloud features, as these closely mirror the question formats students will encounter in their assessments, helping them prepare more effectively. I am looking forward to exploring additional features, such as the demographics tool and AI features, which I have not yet used. Cons While my overall experience has been very positive, I would appreciate greater control over the default slide layout. At present, some Vevox elements, such as the respondent count box, can obscure information on our teaching template slides, requiring manual repositioning to maintain visibility of key content. Pros Excellent tool for encouraging engagement in large lecture groups. It helps grab students attention with the variety of tools. Cons I am not sure how easy it is to manage guest lecturers use of Vevox or to encourage their use if they are not lecturing regularly.
