On the surface, and most importantly for attendees, it looks simple and easy to use. But behind the door it offers a deep array of features and flexibility. The output of data is also crucial for us and thankfully that area is also well covered. Pros I appreciate Vevox for its excellent UI and UX perspective, making it easy for attendees to get started even if it's their first time using it. I like how it combines simplicity on the surface with deeper customization options for organizers who want a more tailored solution. Vevox really stands out with its flexibility and focus, which allows us to meet the specific needs of our clients. Its simplicity and ease of access, like providing both a QR code and manual entry code, help remove any friction for attendees with varying technology proficiency, which is crucial during event days. Vevox has always been our first go-to solution for polling and session interactivity. I recently had a meeting with Amie from Vevox, who shared a number of practical tips and new ways to maximise the features, so I’m now more confident and excited to use it more extensively in my teaching. The tool has strong potential to enhance interaction and real-time feedback in the classroom. Pros Vevox is very easy to use, both in the browser and when integrating into PowerPoint. I particularly like the word cloud, polls, and ranking question formats — these make it quick to gather students’ thoughts and see common themes emerging in real time. It’s extremely helpful for capturing general ideas from students and encouraging participation, especially in larger classes. The platform is intuitive and requires very little setup time. Cons If I had to point out one drawback, it would be the interface. The visuals feel slightly grey, plain, and cold. Web Developer Computer Software Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "A professional, useful polling app" December 11, 2019 3.0 Vevox is great for allowing accurate results from debates in meetings to be collected, with the ease of joining polls and a very usable app, i think its great. As mentioned earlier, if a simplified / kahoot! styled 'mode' was added, i think this would appeal to more events and younger audiences. Pros One of my favourite features is its integration with PowerPoint. Another point would be the aesthetic of the app is very professional The app itself is also very usable Cons I personally have always felt it lacks the certain engagement power of services such as kahoot!, which i know is more of a game styled polling service, but for simpler purposes, this would be favoured for a lot of people i know due to its simplicity and engagement. Students love the ease with which they can engage with polls and surveys, and for the opportunity to apply their learning through these. Staff love the ability to quickly engage with students and shift from a transmission pedagogy to an interactive pedagogy. The platform stability and simple UI are key factors for staff and student adoption. Pros There are lots of things I like about Vevox, it's hard to narrow it down! Definitely near the top of the list is the fantastic support provided by the Vevox team. Since becoming a Vevox customer six years ago, our university has continued to have a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with Vevox. The team are invested in our success, and go above and beyond to check in, support and encourage our usage of the platform. The platform itself has a fantastic UI, the best of any similar product on the market. It is fresh, clean, modern, intuitive and so easy to use. This is vital for university lecturers, many of whom would not have strong digital skills, so being able to quickly and easily pick up a digital tool for their teaching is so important. Lastly, the continuous, steady development of new features for Vevox is another fantastic dimension of the platform. The platform is so different to when we first used it six years ago, and has so many new features added, many of which were developed based on customer feedback. They like sharing their opinions, and then seeing how they compare to those of their peer group. Since the college classroom is already equipped with computer with internet access and display system, all I need to do is sign in to Vevox. Vevox polls look great on the web version but when you try to create slides within a presentation they are not easy to edit/modify to adapt to your slides (so for example it is not possible to integrate the question easily within a slide with information and while it can potentially be done it takes a lot of extra work, especially because you will need to do it twice!) PhD Student Veterinary Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Veterinary Presentations on a Whole New Level" March 24, 2025 5.0 I first used Vevox to introduce the interactive aspect of teaching during the presentation of my paper "Interactive Teaching Method with Applicability in Veterinary Medicine", back in 2020, within the Symposium "Young People and Scientific Research in Veterinary Medicine", 2019, Timișoara. It was the only presentation to get such high engagement from the audience and it was just another proof that the concept is being overlooked in traditional teaching methods. Then later on we have used it throughout some classes and presentations, including one which had around 300 attendees. The web UI and the add-in are both optimized and can be used in even low-end laptops without breaking a sweat (Think about how PowerPoint is not that optimised). We've had zero issues and the audience could join the polls and quizzes with ease. Obtaining the report from the answers and the leaderboard of the quizzes was also very easy. Today's standards may expect users to have mid to high-end smartphones and laptops, but there are still people using stable older tech. Pros Amazingly easy to create polls and quizzes, clean ui which works on any device and integration with powerpoint using an add-in. These are the main features which have kept us on track to choose Vevox for all of our presentations and even integrated it in Veterinary teaching. Cons The only downside would be that the default subscription plans don't have a monthly option. Even though there is no option to purchase a one month subscription, this can be covered by emailing their team for support. Review Source RR Rene R. The support whenever needed from (\[sensitive content hidden\] has been prompt and excellent. Video tutorials of "How to do it" provided by them have been very beneficial as well. Pros Vevox is very easy to use and setup polls, surveys or quizzes. It gives the creator full control with no additional external resources needed. Cons Though it has many usefull functionalities, improvement or added funtionality is needed for the following: 1. Print - User needs to be able to print their own responses to a survey or a poll. 2. Auto Save functionality. When a user is responding to a quiz, poll or survey, the users responses to a question needs to be auto saved. This is to prevent loss of work done, in the event of internet dropping off, power failure or if the user wants to move away and come back to it later. Very powerful Q&A tool, with a moderated display that can be put on an iPad to control questions going to the stage. Cons Removal of support for the legacy PPT Add in. Pros good active involvement of audience. It helps getting the quieter voices heard as well as people can give their opinion anonymously. Cons I had it freeze one time during a large townhall on my laptop. I was still able to direct it from my mobile luckily.
