On the surface, and most importantly for attendees, it looks simple and easy to use. But behind the door it offers a deep array of features and flexibility. The output of data is also crucial for us and thankfully that area is also well covered. Pros I appreciate Vevox for its excellent UI and UX perspective, making it easy for attendees to get started even if it's their first time using it. I like how it combines simplicity on the surface with deeper customization options for organizers who want a more tailored solution. Vevox really stands out with its flexibility and focus, which allows us to meet the specific needs of our clients. Its simplicity and ease of access, like providing both a QR code and manual entry code, help remove any friction for attendees with varying technology proficiency, which is crucial during event days. Vevox has always been our first go-to solution for polling and session interactivity. The support has also been incredible when needed, along with fantastic regular webinars to help you understand the full depth of the platform. Cons Nothing really! I recently had a meeting with Amie from Vevox, who shared a number of practical tips and new ways to maximise the features, so I’m now more confident and excited to use it more extensively in my teaching. The tool has strong potential to enhance interaction and real-time feedback in the classroom. Pros Vevox is very easy to use, both in the browser and when integrating into PowerPoint. I particularly like the word cloud, polls, and ranking question formats — these make it quick to gather students’ thoughts and see common themes emerging in real time. It’s extremely helpful for capturing general ideas from students and encouraging participation, especially in larger classes. The platform is intuitive and requires very little setup time. Cons If I had to point out one drawback, it would be the interface. The visuals feel slightly grey, plain, and cold. A more vibrant or customisable theme would make the experience more engaging visually for students. Web Developer Computer Software Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "A professional, useful polling app" December 11, 2019 3.0 Vevox is great for allowing accurate results from debates in meetings to be collected, with the ease of joining polls and a very usable app, i think its great. As mentioned earlier, if a simplified / kahoot! styled 'mode' was added, i think this would appeal to more events and younger audiences. Pros One of my favourite features is its integration with PowerPoint. Another point would be the aesthetic of the app is very professional The app itself is also very usable Cons I personally have always felt it lacks the certain engagement power of services such as kahoot!, which i know is more of a game styled polling service, but for simpler purposes, this would be favoured for a lot of people i know due to its simplicity and engagement. Since the college classroom is already equipped with computer with internet access and display system, all I need to do is sign in to Vevox. IT Project Manager Hospital & Health Care Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Our Students and Lecturers Love Using Vevox" November 25, 2024 4.0 Since CoVid when our training program shifted from in-person to exclusively online we needed a tool to moderate and delivery regular knowledge tests for trainees where we could easily generate reports and share with the group and their mentors to track their progress throughout the course. After reviewing several we found Vevox which tick all the requirements, had a simple to use interface from both a web browser or a mobile phone and a reasonable pricing model. Fast forward to 2024 and 4 years of trainees have benefited from using the platform during their course and we still use Vevox once we returned to face-to-face training sessions monthly as it was so convenient. Pros Vevox is a great resource for making University lectures more interactive. There are plenty of options for the creation of questions to test understanding of concepts, and students are able to easily log in from their phones via a QR Code to participate. Results are then available immediately and can easily be shared with the group. Cons The integration with MS Powerpoint could be better. There are features enabling slides to be produced in house style, and while this works to a degree, these are not ideal and require quite a bit of further work to blend them into the presentation. Pros What’s new: I mostly use VEVOX for my monthly stress and performance assessment of my team. Why it matters: This is a great and anonymous way of checking in on my team to see how they are feeling and doing managing their workloads. I follow up after wards in my 1-2-1’s if there are any issues. I have shared this template with other leaders, and they are doing the same to check in on their staff. The application works well and does exactly what it says on the tin from my perspective. I have attended some of the webinars with the latest features, which I have found useful. I like the addition of the AI assistant with the prompts to support if needed. I hope Vevox keeps coming up with new innovative ideas. Just a thought following a session - it would be good if you could use the text feature to come up with scenarios but then get the participants to compartamentalise the answers and put them into various headings such as student A and student B. Thank you for a well-thought out and improved product. I am enjoying using it myself but also training others to utilise the features that Vevox can offer. Pros I like the ability to connect Vevox with PowerPoint and run the polls in slideshow mode. I also enjoy having the word cloud now display real time results for the participants and facilitator of the session. Its an engaging tool that allows a high level of interaction. Cons The pin on image I find quite confusing so didnt really work for me when presenting. I am also not keen on having two slides in the Powerpoint add in - I think it would be better with just one. Then you could ask more questions without the barrier of having double the slides. Pros I use Vevox a lot in my teaching and find it an invaluable tool for engaging those students who may be reluctant to speak out in class. It is simple to set up and can be used for a number of useful purposes in a lecture such as polling students to check their understanding, running live quizzes to reinforce key concepts, gathering anonymous feedback to encourage honest responses, and hosting interactive Q&A sessions that allow all students to participate without worrying about what others will think of their questions.
