The website is easy to navigate and the VAT submission process is literally 4 steps. Can't get much simpler than that. Pros The thing I like best is the simplicity of the service for filing UK VAT. I download a spreadsheet template fill it in with my company info and then upload and submit. Quick and easy Cons It was difficult to find out about the company as the UK Gov has a long list of recommended providers for filing VAT. I suppose they could create a spreadsheet directly in the web portal, which would save sometime in submission. But if you're a company with lot's of sales to report the current external spreadsheet method probably makes the most sense. It gives you quick links to spreadsheet templates and filing returns takes about 5 minutes. This is one of the few software products that I renew every year without a thought because it saves me so much time, and with the receipt confirmations and reauthentication every few months, I trust it with my data. Pros Its quick and easy integration with the HMRC website makes filing VAT returns extremely quick and easy. Cons Nothing to dislike at all about 123 Sheets. I've been using the product for years and there has never been a glitch. Pros 123sheets makes filing MTD VAT super easy. The setup is simple, and it works smoothly with Excel, so you don’t need to be a tax expert. It does the hard work for you, saving time and helping avoid mistakes. Cons One downside of using 123sheets is that the interface can feel a bit outdated compared to some newer tools. It’s functional, but not very modern-looking, and first-time. If you’re not comfy with Excel, the templates might feel a bit tricky at first.
