It gives the chance to try things out on people that aren't going to trash your product during production. Pros Storyboard That might seem a bit cartoonish at times, since I kind of is a cartoon at times but the feature we use most is sure personas. This is a must-try feature as it can mimic people and groups of users and that data is invaluable. Pros VIsual storytelling is a powerful tool. This product makes it extremely easy to drag and drop elements and stitch together an end to end vision. I can put together a full storyboard for software demos in the matter of minutes and I am able to share it with the my team for feedback. In a regular word processing or spreadsheet tool this process would make much longer. Cons I can always use more healthcare and life sciences focused scenes. May 1, 2025 3.0 I have one assignment Storyboard That is good for all year, and it's perfect for that assignment. But after that, it's not worth the time or expense. I tried to have my video production students use it for storyboarding their work, and it was so difficult for them to work with I had them do it manually. Pros Storyboard That is great for students to try and tell a short story for an assignment or other reason. Cons Not only is it too expensive for my classroom, it's fairly limited in what you can do with it. The system isn't set up for integration with LMS softwares, and can be difficult to use once they're done with a basic story. Campus Instructional coach Education Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Storyboard That For Education" April 18, 2022 5.0 1) Storyboard That has helped me teach vocabulary, such as using the Frayer Model. 2) Storyboard That has helped me teach students how to compare the individual characters in a story and their actions. It allows my students to visualize the difference. 3) Storyboard That helps students organize their thinking through interactive graphic organizers. Pros Storeyboard That provides story templates for any classroom such as the comic strips, Character text bubbles and simple, but powerful templates to get any user started. However, it does not overwhelm you with so many options. I like the drag and drop options, as I can customize and import into my storeyboard from files. Pros The software is very easy to use. The user experience is seamless, essentially just log-in and go. Great for kids and for older, less tech-friendly people. Cons The artistic style of the storyboard elements looks outdated. Zero-disrespect intended. I appreciate the brand-style that you have created, namely the characters (unique, setting yourselves apart from competition) but it may be a bit minimalist for my taste. Some backgrounds/props remind me of something drawn using Microsoft Paint or might find in a Clipart Folder (sorry...) Bitmoji is an example that comes to mind of a brand that nails their artistic style, in my opinion. Once we have this done, we will be able to quickly create storyboards for many of our projects even quicker. Pros I like that it's simple enough for my team to use it. We just haven't implemented it into our workflow to use often enough. Cons Nothing yet. When my team has used it, it has served it's purpose. We haven't used often enough to find any needs that are missing for our uses. Reason for choosing Storyboard That It gave us the features we were looking for. I told many people about it. It is great for sharing ideas, helping children with emotions and creating visions and goals or to decrease student anxiety. I like that customer service and in one call learned so much about how to use it. Others say they like it also good for parent and child communications. Cons It doesn’t seem like it changes so it seems Like adding more Features and scenes would be good but it has served its purpose and I never saw anything like it before, so it was still useful. I would Like the company to keep updating and adding features that Improve it and make it more exciting for children and parents and kids with social needs and special needs. August 17, 2020 5.0 Fantastic. I have recommended it to others on numerous occasions, as it really meets its intended use case well, at a very reasonable cost. Pros Storyboard That makes it extremely quick to get an idea turned into a visual. The interface is very straightforward, and there is a broad selection of options that continues to expand. I have had no troubles being able to put together storyboards and visualizations for the scenarios I have required, without having to invest a lot of time to do so! Cons There is a bit of lack of flexibility, but this seems to be an intentional part of the design so as to reduce complexity, as the point of a storyboard is to be a quick representation. This is not the right tool if you need to do complex visuals. I would like to see some sort of implementation of an area where detailed notes could be entered for each visual tile you create (perhaps toggled on off with a show/hide button, or similar). The entire program was deceptively easy which is great for teachers to use with students in the classroom. It would not take up much time to show students how to use the software. I think that this could become a staple in many teachers classrooms if they were aware of the software. Pros Storyboard That makes it easy to create your very own cartoon story boards. There is a variety of backgrounds and characters to use. Cons The only thing that I didn't like about this software was having to wait for approval to use personal photos in the storyboard.
