Tax return submission is done in a timely manner

Pros

The rollover loading; the electronic submission to CRA; the diagnostics

Cons

The price of the basic software plus having to pay again for the electronic transmission module. Who submits paper returns anymore? Why is the transmission module not part of the basic software?

Pros

The T2 is a good product - CRA connect works well etc. for T1s

Cons

The new version looks better than the old one - but haven't used the newer version (looks more modern etc.) I don't use the T1 software anymore - but I did not like the setup - however the newer version may be better. The T2s were ok

Simple a utiliser, facile d'accès, facile à utiliser pour la plupart des clients.

Cons

Il semble que si l'on ouvre pas de compte TaxPrep, il est impossible d'utiliser le portail

J'ai vu la présentation pour le portail dans le passé et il était trop onéreux, maintenant c'est tout juste pour mon entreprise, mais je pense toujours que ça valait le cou. J'avais déjà l'ensemble des logiciels nécessaire pour fonctionner avec le portail.

For an infrequent user (once a year) the experience has always been good

Pros

Ease of use - diagnostic feature which guides you through the errors for efficient correction

Cons

Installation of updated software each year is a little tricky - usually call support for assistance and they are always very helpful and patient

Have used TaxPrep T1 for over 10 years. Switched to TaxPrep T2, Forms and T3 recently.

Pros

The networking and the integration between programs. The connect with CRA.

Cons

The form layouts are much more complicated than in the CanTax T2 that we were using previously. The Tax Summary does not include the dividend refunds and the S7 is less user friendly. More table formats would be good.

Because we were already using it for T1's and because it has integration with the other programs.

Completing taxes with this software is much easier and faster than others. Overall, happy with it.

Pros

The UI and optimizations for taxes. Connect is also a great feature.

Cons

Sometimes it can be difficult to complete certain forms due to automation.

I am having a technical issue and have called several times .... no answer. The phone just rings and rings!!!!!! Sent an email and still haven't heard back. Finally called customer service today and they put me thru to technical support and HAVE BEEN ON HOLD FOR 42 MINUTES. Great software but this latest issue is making me rethink my choice in software . I did switch over to Intuit for a few years and have recently switched back.... maybe I shouldn't have??? Still on hold.....

Pros

I'm familiar with it and its easy to use

Cons

Technical support - can't get a hold of them.... see below !!!!!!!!!! Help please!
