Because our programming is therapeutic in nature, but designed to be implemented by non-clinical staff, it is imperative that we test each staff candidate for emotional intelligence and cognitive abilities in addition to job-specific skills like Microsoft Office. I was pleasantly surprised at how easy it was to set up our account and get started with testing. When I had questions about which tests we should use for the roles we were hiring for, my account rep was knowledgeable and helpful. The post test reporting surfaced insights that absolutely helped us narrow down the candidate pool, so we didn't waste time and money interviewing the wrong people. So far, the money invested in using EmployTest, has saved us thousands. We no longer have "warm bodies"...we are confidently growing a staff of the right people in the right seats by doing pre-employment testing! Pros Easy account setup. Value for money invested. Responsive customer service support. In-depth post-test reporting with interview question suggestions. Cons There’s a bit of a learning curve upfront in choosing the right tests, but once we dialed it in, it became a really efficient part of our hiring process. It provides a next level of detail in order to help employers choose the right candidate. Pros EmployTest offers a wide range of candidate assessments in a number of different areas. Providing candidates with skills tests have helped us to determine whether the candidate is the right fit for the position. Following completion of the assessment, the site also sends a report via email with a detailed look on the candidates score. Cons The report did not include specific details on the questions that were asked. I ended up taking the tests myself and using some of our purchased credits in order to have some type of comparison on results. Having candidates go thru a testing portion of our recruiting and hiring process has surely confirmed suspicions both positively and negatively and led to better hiring for key roles. Pros There are so many options with EmployTest. The list of assessments is vast and broad. Finding a test or two to fit the exact position, skillset, etc. that you are looking to gain insight on is a breeze. Simply drag and drop what you want for each and every candidate. Cons They have decided to change their dashboard a few times over the past 4-5 years that I've used your product and it always comes as a surprise.
