Pros It kept me informed about deadlines. I could see new assignments coming up, assignments that were current and those that might be overdue. Cons There was nothing to dislike about the software because every aspect of it was user controlled. I could decide not to get the daily reminders, I could inform if the deadline became a problem, I could inform if the hours for the job were less or more than expected and write notes. However, clients are not willing to interact with it. WorkZone doesn't share your feature enhancements ahead of time, so it is a negative event. Meaning, your releases cause more problems because we have to quickly figure out a plan on what to do with live work. Would be better if you hosted a webinar a week before your release so we could plan and not be reactive. Our usual approach is to ignore the feature rather than to figure out how to use it. Not the best approach - just being honest. Markup tool would be better if it tapped into the Acrobat comment/markup tools and have the ability to save and move the file along the workflow path. The scheduling and task features are extensive couple with the email alert systems it ensures you kept on track with your project milestones. The drag and drop functionality is a slick tool and offers a great user experience. The product support amazing. December 8, 2016 5.0 We have been on Workzone for several years, and my team really enjoys interacting with it. There is ability to look at the projects globally as well as in detail. Steps can be built in for different teams, and the reporting ability is wonderful. We have implemented several successful projects lately, using Workzone. Pros Easy to use, reporting, and the support is great. Cons There should be a way to help you build your project and timelines. Pros From initial inquiry into their services to carryout of implementation, Workzone has met my teams needs completely.The product is extremely easy to use and and allows for a diverse range of functionality. Being able to store our data within Workzone was an added bonus and their security is second to none. The rep from the company was eager to answer any questions we had in the initial talks and very thorough in helping us get the request pushed through to start implementing workzone. Those who are not project managers or don't like doing project management of any kind don't like it. There are so many features that WorkZone provides that we're finally getting around to utilizing more of them. WorkZone has allowed for us to make many positive changes in our project processes. August 7, 2019 3.0 Workzone was nice for the time that we used it, however, the UX does need to be worked on for this platform. If you can make the platform more engaging for users, then user retention will increase. As of right now, the platform feels old, dated, and could use a facelift. I will revisit this software if they figure out their intuitive issues! Pros Workzone felt very robust in terms of what it provided. Task delegation and showcasing each project and getting down to the nitty gritty for each task was great to see! Cons The software is not very intuitive. First of all there is no demo period. Zero. The only demo they do is one they control and then you have to decide. If you decide they charge you a $500 fee and then it is $250 per month (for 10 users). You must sign a contract for 12 months and cannot cancel. The device and customer service definitely get a 5 out of 5 because of it's functionality and Alex Dingley. He is always available for the crazy questions I have and will talk me through each issue on the phone till I understand it. It's been a very helpful extension of WZ! My only complaint (very minor) is on some features such as being able to take a project from a previous year, enter a new date for the following year and have the whole project re-sync to the current time so you don't have to manually change each date. The platform’s template tools make it easy to replicate similar project processes, while daily email digests ensure every team member knows exactly what he or she needs to do to move the project along. Managers can save time when they use WorkZone to keep their departments on track, and they can decrease the penalty costs typically associated with delays or missed deadlines. User-friendly. Cons: None Overall it's been a great experience utilizing WorkZone as our project management tracking tool over the past 18 months. I highly recommend it to any organization with an abundance of projects going through the pipeline, many simultaneously. We were able to more effectively manage 230+ marketing projects in 2014 and we're well on our way to that many or more in 2015. I wouldn't want to do it without WorkZone. It is a combination of a number of tools required by an organization (Especially IT). We can easily share documents with others and manage the document version control as well. In terms of managing projects, it has almost all features available. Pros Well, it is a mix of a number of tools. Sometimes having more features are good but it can make the application complex for the users. Cons I would say, to work more on improving the interface and usability. June 17, 2015 3.0 Love the ease of use, however the ability to export reports or neat joblists still lacks complete satisfaction for me. Would prefer to send proofs through the job management system and keep all remarks with job, rather than send for approval from a documents folder. The project request should auto fill notes into converting it into a project. Sometimes if notes are added to the project request from the client, the email does not reach PageAnn. Overall though it is doing a great job for us and we plan to continue with Workzone for quite some time.
