Personal Trainer Sports Used the software for: Less than 6 months ### "Easy Recurring Payments" November 20, 2020 5.0 Very happy with it since it does exactly what i need. Pros I used it to charge my personal training clients monthly (like a membership site). So they don't have to do the action to pay every single month. Once you set it all up, it just works perfect. I use it in a WordPress site with Stripe to process the payments, but you can go with PayPal and others. You need additional plugins to do the "recurring payment" thing, but if you want to charge for online services/products... that's all you need. Cons You have to set it all up. It's hard if you know nothing, so get ready to invest some hours there. You may not find this helpful if you also sell not-online products. This only works for digital products/services. Now -- for a slightly lower charge to the consumer -- the consumer instantly downloads the software and manual (PDF). Pros I like the integration with Gravity Forms and Dropbox. Cons I sometimes find it confusing as to what feature of my form and download is handled by Gravity Forms and what by EDD. So, EDD was one of the choices considered and after some testing it turned to be the better choice. Pros \- Easy to setup and configure. - Works with WPML. - Works with Divi. - Small footprint. Cons \- Need to buy plugins to extend it. - Free plugins very limited. Pros Using EDD has allowed me to ensure I can collect recurring revenue easily from my clients, as well as easily offer one-off services for sales on my website. It was relatively easy to set up. Cons I was fortunate to receive a code snippet which allowed me to add the ability to customize the reminder messages sent to customers based on their plan type. Download activity tracking is the best part, also the data reporting makes it easier to make sure that the site is engaging. Cons Lot of extensions are paid even a simple and important payment plans needed to be purchased. Also the free themes library is very small and designs are not of much charm.
