Pros Overall use of this plugin is extremely user friendly. The simplicity of creating events, adding details, and more make this an amazing plugin. Cons I wish the front end view as displayed on a live page was a little more styled, especially the lists view. I tried the plugin, paid for it initially but it didn't fit the intended project and I used another calendar plugin instead. I thought Sugar Calendar could be used for another client, however I haven't used it. Not knocking your product, which looks good – it just haven't had a need to use it. I was surprised to get a bill from you for an annual licence, but I can see it's been 12 months since my purchase. So I guess, fair enough. But I don't want to pay for any future licence extensions etc. What I found frustrating was I couldn't log into your website to manage my account. Please remove my card details and don't take any more money from me. If I do have a use for it, I will renew my licence at that point. Pros Looks nice. Good interface and easy to use. Cons It didn't fit with the project I was working on at the time. Reason for choosing Sugar Calendar I didn't. I used EventOn which suited the website project much better on this occasion. Not because it's a free plugin, but because it just looked right for the musician site I was building. Pros Excellent people behind the product starting with Pippin and continuing with the expanded team as Sand Hills. Functionally, I love how I can implement multiple calendars in a variety of ways using taxonomies and shortcodes to build a fairly robust system on my clients' websites. Cons Always have a wish or two in waiting, don't we all? I wish I could duplicate events and that I had more control over the specific content that displays in various views and in archives. I use it for my blog. it's nice to be able to click on a day and see previous posts without having to search for them. It also allows my readers to see previous posts by day. Pros I liked its simplicity first and foremost. Cons It's missing a lot of features that you can get from The Events Calendar, but I also wanted some kind of hook into Woocommerce and EDD. Easy to use and embed into a web page. It works. Pros It's super easy to use/add events and embed into a web page. It looks decent also, for default. Cons I have no idea to this day if we are able to add the same event to multiple calendars. The documentation provided on your website honestly made me feel like I made a giant mistake. The documentation is seriously lacking and I never did find a solution. If we can't add an event to multiple calendars, then, yep, I wasted money and will have to switch to a new product soon. Reason for choosing Sugar Calendar We manage close to 400 websites. The fact I could pay a one time fee and use the calendar across all properties ... you can't beat that! I asked the developer if there was a way to change it via a filter and there was but they went further and built a way to change it into the admin ui in the next release. Pros Fast to work with and worked how I thought it would. It was easy to tweak with CSS and worked well with Beaver Builder and Themer. Cons Not as feature rich as the market leader.
