December 2, 2021 5.0 Using Gigrove has been a pleasant surprise from the beginning. What started as "Oh this looks interesting, let's try it" very quickly turned into "Wait, it can do that?!" The new features being added each month make using the platform exciting. It challenges you to market and promote your products in the best possible way; if I can add a video of my product, then why wouldn't I? If I can specify the details to offer greater clarity of purchase for my clients, then why wouldn't I? Gigrove is making transparent marketing and ethical product promotion possible. Customer support has been brilliant - as a non-tech savvy person I often have questions that can seem basic and obvious to others. Support has been patient and efficient with answering my questions and directing me to resources that help me for future reference. Pros Gigrove is an incredibly easy to use e-commerce option. The product dashboard is customisable with different 'tabs' that allow you to give as much or as little information on the products on offer as possible, with the ability to add videos, images, product attributes, etc. It's possible to personalise the site with your own brand colours, logo, language (branded copy for the win!) and URL domain. You're able to customise each product with individual shipping fees, order notes, as well as product characteristics like weight, size, colour, etc. The option to generate a 'domain map' listing for each product is also a huge bonus with SEO and searchability. Branded emails go a big way towards keeping the user experience smooth and confusion-free. The ability to integrate with software like Zapier allows for creativity in automations - like automatically generating coupon codes for an online course (hosted elsewhere) or just automatically signing them up for the course from the instant of payment in Gigrove. Finally, bust most importantly, support from Gigrove is fast, efficient and clear. When things get confusing or something seems to be glitching, support responds to emails and are actually available to help. The company seems to be constantly upgrading the product and implementing new features at the suggestion of their users, making this an ever-evolving product that just gets better and better. Cons The lack of a blog page feature is a disadvantage. It always booked on different calendars and I wasn’t able to get them to sync up so that way I didn’t get double booked for different products. I found the variable pricing to be wonky and I was never able to set that up correctly either. I dislike that if I wanted to put images in my product listing, it just made a long column of pictures instead of being able to click through them. However, my biggest complaint is that I purchased this product through AppSumo and I gave an honest review of the product and you guys chose never to publish that review. I think that’s shady and crummy and I have zero intentions of ever recommending this product to anybody, ever. Pros There was very little I liked about the software at all. Cons There wasn’t much I liked about the software at all. But my biggest complaint was that it was so unbearably slow. I can’t even stand having to log into it or to go look up my orders in the tool because everything takes forever. The process of selling is simple, you would connect their default payment gateway (Stripe) and start adding products and services to the store. The store supports custom domain name and branding, unlimited bandwidth, unlimited customers, etc. Their offering is generous, comparing to other e-commerce providers. There are options to manage shipments, offer bookable and professional services, etc. all integrated into one account, without additional charges. I’m satisfied with the tool in overall. My customers are mostly in their early 50s and not so technically savvy but they have been able to purchase through my Gigrove store without a single problem. With its solid features, Gigrove has also made me confident about offering physical products. Cons When I first started, my confidence level fell low because I had to set multiple settings across different tabs in the admin panel for every new product I added. This took getting used to. They have a wide range of tools to help you manage your business, from creating a branded storefront to managing your inventory and shipping. They also have a helpful customer service team who are always available to help you out. I love that I can set up a store in less than 10 minutes and start selling right away. This is a great way to start a small business and I highly recommend it. Cons Being in Europe, Gigrove only offer ShipStation providers for the deliveries. The most used service in Europe is a free solution called Packlink PRO. This is what stops me using Gigrove for my shops in Europe.
