Pros

I really like how you can make the message easy for your subscribers to send. They don't need to write anything (they can if you want) all they need to do is enter their information and submit the form, VoterVoice does the rest!

Cons

Sometimes it seems complicated to get the correct contacts selected. The good news is that their support is STELLAR!!! Typically you are able to call them, talk to an actual person and they will IMMEDIATELY assist you with whatever problem you have. (Since our alerts are typically time sensitive the wonderful support is a huge factor for why I would recommend them to anyone looking for this sort of software.)

I was first invited to VoterVoice by a colleague on a campaign to improve support given to international students during and after their studies. Even though it was not a grand campaign, I marveled at how effective it was at garnering support, sourcing donations, and pulling off a well-patronized protest walk. In less than a week, we had collected more than twice the number of signatures required to force a hearing, which resulted in 8 out of 10 of our demands being accepted. This experience with VoterVoice was one of the first profound experiences that pushed me into a career in the non-profit sector.

Pros

The reports generated are very easy to understand and focus on the most critical actionable data points. In most software, I would complain about the relatively limited options for customizing the outputs to suit each campaign's metrics of interest, but with VoterVoice, I can say with absolute confidence that it has been built to perfection. Coordinators can therefore act promptly and in real time to coordinate field resources and communications to advocates to remedy problem areas.

Cons

The datasets available are quite limited and in most cases not updated. The research teams should do more to expand the data repository, particularly in light of the fast evolving social landscape and social campaigns deployed around the world.

The Staff was amazing and so helpful. I could not have used their software without their help. They were fast and got back to me quickly.

Pros

It was user friendly and appealing to the eye and our members loved that they could contact their legislator directly about an issue.

Cons

I wish it had a way to track our coalition building. That is the only reason I did not give it a 10 out of 10.

Pros

Customer Service is quick and helpful almost all of the time when I have questions about VoterVoice. The congressional contact information is updated and it makes it easy to send letters/alerts to members of Congress based on committee or house. The walk through is pretty simple and easy to pick up; my interns go through the training and within a week can send a basic alert with no issues.

Cons

Some of the more updated features are not available like text alerts or connecting with media. The reporting is pretty complicated if you can find at all.

Excellent and attentive customer service!

Pros

Easy to use. Ideal for setting up 1 or at most 2-click alerts. Also, as a large federated association with 150+ chapters, the weekly testing of email addresses is very helpful.

Cons

We use the plugin on our main site, and some more flexibility on eliminating some areas woudl be helpful

VoterVoice has helped us reposition the urgency of advocacy for our whole Foundation. I know that the progress we've made in the past two years would not have been possible without the use of this tool.

Pros

Votervoice has provided us a platform to digitize our advocacy in a way that is user-friendly, providing us with the tools to not only educate our volunteers on why it's important to advocate but also with the essential information that can put them on the right track. Among the things our volunteers love the most are the Action Center, the Legislator Look Up tool (and details on their legislators- that's the fan favorite!), and the track legislation tool. VoterVoice has helped take our lobbying out of Washington, DC and into the homes of patient advocates all around the country. Not to mention, the software has helped us make advovcacy more of a tangible and easy to adopt component to the broader mission that we strive for at our Foundation.

Cons

There are a few needed tools that would help take the software to the next level that right now require manual work from the user perspective. There is a need for better user/legislator tracking, streamlined analytics on global performance (rather than individual campaigns/emails), and better search capabilities for administrators. These add ons would make a great tool better and more intuitive.

The fact that it is easy for individuals to contact elected officials -- all the information is pre-populated.

Cons

It's clunky at times, cannot track from paid digital media (doesn't distinguish which contacts came from paid digital email, versus email, versus Facebook post, etc.)
