Pros: When it works the software allows management of multiple portfolios. Reports are tedious but helpful information is presented. Limited Agile functionality is available.

Cons: Customer service is basic, and their agents are not intellectually curious. Rarely resolve issues first time or second. More concerns with ticket aging than real help to customers.

Workfront would be great - at 1/3 the price

Pros: Great set of tools for project management. From digital asset management to time tracking this package has it all. I only used a trial but I was pleased with the solution.

Cons: Cost is the deal breaker for this one. Although everything is in one package there are simpler, free solutions that can be used together that give you most of the same functionality.

Comments: Overall, it is useful for my company this product . Great for getting feedback from various stakeholders in my company .

Pros: Very useful for managing tasks . I usually have more than 80+ differents tasks and I can manage all the activities .

Cons: honestly , I love Workfront and I don¿t considered a con in regard to this product . I really like using it and it is one of my favorites management software.

Pros: It helps me most in assigning and anticipating the tasks that needs to be done since I can visually see the work in progress of my colleagues.

Cons: There is one time when I tried to update the leadtime of one worker and it collapses but it only happened once and never again.

Pros: I have been a Workfront user for a few years now and am a big proponent of this project management tool for several reasons.
1) I find it very intuitive for users to use
2) It is easily customized based on the needs of your users
3) The reporting feature is worth the price of admission itself
4) Their support team is quick to respond and the self-help area is robust so you can find an answer to any question you may come across
5) Workfront offers a comprehensive training tool that covers several types and levels of training for users at all levels including frequent live trainings
6) The Community area is a great place to share ideas and ask for help from other users
7) They are constantly making updates and improvements to the tool
8) The Workfront Proof viewer is a great feature for those who want to markup and share creative within a project.

We looked at several solutions and I'd say that Workfront was by far the best option for our internal creative agency.

Cons: Setting up can be time consuming if you don't already have a process in place. Do your homework and dedicate the time to do it right before launch or else user adoption can be difficult. Plan on user adoption to be your biggest hurdle as people are uncomfortable with change. Make the Workfront trainings mandatory before use.

Overall: It helps us save time when it comes to resource allocation and time management. The reporting features helps upper-management better understand what we are doing and how much time it takes to do it. I love how they are constantly pushing updates that help improve the tool based on user feedback.

Pros: Workfront allows us to see the budget and the progress of the project. It is very important for us to monitor the budget regularly.

Cons: As of the moment, we do not have any constraints experienced while using this software.

Comments: Overall, the pros of having a SaaS that provides me a task "to-do" list every day outweighs the time spent up front making sure projects are set up and assigned out correctly. Visibility into an entire team's work load is a major plus as well.

Pros: Very useful for managing tasks once projects are all set up. I generally have at least 100+ different tasks that I'm working on at any given time, so being able to sort and organize by the day they are due and have that view is a lifesaver. The calculated allocation is also useful to see if it is even possible to accomplish everything in a given work week.

Cons: If you have a project to set up that doesn't follow a template, you will spend A LOT of time getting your tasks, milestones, etc. all set up and assigning the work out. It can also be cumbersome to modify task due dates if they change.

Decent Project Management Software, but extremely pricey.

Pros: Can be customized to suit your business needs. Can build custom reports to pull project information. Lot's of filters available. We tweaked it in order to create a help desk ticketing system. It was useful because we were really able to specify the tickets according to our needs. We were even able to transfer a paper request form to create new accounts into Workfront.

Cons: Too expensive for project management software. We often found users being frustrated at the interface when attempting to manage their projects. I personally didn't use it for the project aspect of it, but users often did not like tracking their projects through Workfront.

Overall: Was able to customize the product to utilize it as a help desk ticket submission. I liked that I was able to add my own custom fields and run reports on those fields that I created.

Slow ramp up to some great software!

Pros: Customization is king with this software. It has everything that you would want it to do. There is a great community of users out there willing to help you out when you have a problem.

Cons: Because of all the customization options, it can be a pretty long ramp up time until you are really getting what you want out of it. No undo button & no reverting back from automatic saves.

Pros: WorkFront helps managing the Agile based projects. It helps managing all activities ad needed to work on a agile based project. Provides options to manage milestones and team roles as per Agile.

Cons: Would be great to manage timelines for projects on a sprint basis. The interface looks good and allow us to manage projects effectively.

Pros: It is a great tool, it also does an excellent job with task management. It has great functionality and follows the flows and tools of project management.

Cons: Having no templates or workflows makes starting from scratch not the most pleasant to the user, implementing some basic general flows easy to customize would make the tool more pleasant

The learning curve is quick and the interface is appealing to this non-technical user.

Pros: It is helpful to have project timelines, teams, and timesheets in one place. I also liked the automatic generation of reminders.

Cons: Any team usually has a manager/many managers and several employees doing different aspects of a given task. When scope creep or cancellations necessitate changes or abandonment of a timeline, it takes a lot of offline communication to make sure that reality matches with the altered reports generated by WorkFront.

Overall: I was able to keep on task to get jobs done within specified time periods.

Pros: This software has all the traditional functions of a project management software. You can customize the project dashboard and make Gantt chart interactive. I like the fact that this is cloud-based and you don't have to worry about the maintenance. And it allows the employees from different functional areas to collaborate and communicate easily to get the project done.

Cons: There is no templates for workflow and you will have to create your own templates. I guess that is the price you have to pay in order to get the software highly customizable. And also it takes time to train the employees and to implement the new software.

Pros: I like the ability to get a quick view of what's on time vs. what's late. There are a lot of different views/calendars that you can customize to get to dashboards that you can use as default views when signing in.

Cons: Workfront takes a while to learn and master, but most of that is due to the fact that there are a lot of useful functionalities that other project management softwares don't have. In the long run, the time investment at the beginning to learn everything is worth it.

Pros: Workfront needs a ground-up UI and paradigm rethink. It's incredibly powerful, but the complication that comes with that power is unnecessary.

Cons: Simple things take forever and usually require lots of clicks. It is not intuitive to use or set up. A native non electron Mac app for such a complex tool would be really useful.

Pros: It's great for managing projects and everyone's timesheet. It also provides real-time updates on how far along projects are.

Cons: It's pretty complicated. It can be daunting to jump in and get started on the right project. They have training available but it's long and a big time commitment.

Pros: The tool has a lot of integrations and is very easy to use. All different types of processes can be adopted on Workfront and workflow can be changed (as it does often in most organizations) with ease.

Cons: When Kanban functionality was released, I wish the functionalities had a bit more finess. Hopefully, future releases will be able to address some of our concerns.

Overall: Great tool for process and project management, with lots of options for integration. Really like the way reports can be easily generated!

Pros: The work tracking, communication and reporting capabilities. Reporting is a misnomer because it's more of a screen view that allows you to dive deeper into the report and the objects in the report. The Communication methods of being able to comment on objects and allow people to respond via email and still append the reply as a log in the object has been a big win for us. Even naysayers now love the product in our organization. The reporting is so powerful I instruct users to develop their dream scenario and I can usually deliver what they want.

Cons: From time to time it can get glitchy. They've made great improvements on this over the years and I've had the same issue with other products too (i.e. MS Project used to crash on me once a day). But for the complexity of the product and all the functionality it delivers, it's a very small percentage of time that this occurs.

Overall: It allowed our IT department to go from 5 products to track our work (ITSM, Assana, TFS, MS Project, and Spiratest) to one product where we use it for our Helpdesk, Projects, Agile Teams, Test Cases, and results, and many many dashboards and reports to gauge how we're doing. Now we're able to track our work and if the work belongs to another team we can pass it along without having to recreate it in another tool. The communication function is also been a success for us.

This system makes the impossible, possible.

Pros: It can be customized as much as you need it to be, or as little. If you have a very specific workflow, it can do it!

Cons: It takes a long time to get going. Plan ahead extra time for launch. Also, it does take a bit of time for people to get used to the system, but that would be expected with any new software in an office.

Pros: Simplifies our project management. At first it seems daunting, but once you start using it, it is actually very simple and intuitive. I like being able to prioritize projects and see quickly what I need my team to focus on.

Cons: It does seem overwhelming at first. Perhaps a "beginner" mode with some features turned off would allow people to become engaged without frightening them off.

Pros: Workfront is very flexible. The out-of-the box solutions allows for specific configuration for a personal experience, custom data capture and it is very user friendly.

Cons: The reporting lacks the ability for easy configuration and business intelligence. Text mode is an option but is not easy.

Pros: Workfront allows common workflows to be built into templates. As those processes are improved over time, the template can be updated to capture learnings for future projects. Workflow tasks and due dates are clearly assigned to individuals or teams. Predecessors are included based on requirements and past experience. Having templates ensures we are not inventing a new workflow every time a new project is launched.

Cons: The software has a learning curve to gain proficiency. I believe the learning curve is getting easier with some recent improvements to support new installations and training. The addition of Fusion should reduce some of the learning / expertise needed to integrate with other software, which will increase value and adoption.

Lees meetings time for sure.
All the info is in the same place.

Pros: The way an individual project is organized and all the request queue options. I like the communication thorugh the tool, everything is in one place.

Cons: The reporting is difficult to set up. Viewing capacity is a bit tough, there's no overall departmental views. There's almost too many ways for users to view content, they get confused and it's hard to teach.

Pros: As a sys admin I most love the Log In As feature. It allows me to see what they see (or don't).
Sometimes, people inadvertently change their view or a filter and they get stuck. Seeing it through their eyes is extremely valuable.

Cons: We have millions of reports. I need a better way to sort and or filter them. EG: If I can group data in a report, why not group the list of reports themselves?

Overall: Centralization of work. Better reporting. Better support for my users.

Starting to get ready for our roll out - I am excited to start using the tool.

Pros: Dashboards - need to have a glance of all of our projects at 30k feet! We are using google docs so we need robust tool.

Cons: Set up has been very time consuming. We could have planned to have our business processes laid out if we were advised when we signed on to purchase the tool.

I think that Workfront is a very innovative system - I think there are some missing pieces too.

Pros: I like that Workfront is pretty easy to navigate, I also like the new front with integrations coming into play. I like how easy it is to do reporting and leverage reports into dashboards.

Cons: I do not like the lack of ability to customize user instances. I would prefer to hide everything that a user does not need to see or use to make it way more basic. Right now, the system is not structured to do this by user only by group or permission settings. I think it's also annoying to have current-pending projects not be an option to show on the legacy gnatt and it's a pretty easy feature. I'd also like to see more development with roles and skillsets not the basic settings for primary and secondary roles. I'm happy to hear that the help desk will be restructuring requests going to specific topics such as reporting. I have used the help desk before and have found it frustrating that the consultant I am assigned does not have the knowledge to address my concern/question and I get passed along through the pipe until I reach someone who can. I'd like to see development in reporting more.

Pros: WF keeps us on scheduled and gives us a good idea of planning and resources. It helps standardize the routine projects. The actual hours reporting is very helpful for scoping.

Cons: Doesn't always play well with other tools (SFMC, SFDC, Domo, etc). Financials can be tricky if the implementation is not strict on how the portfolio and programs are setup.

Overall: We know what we are doing now rather than running a mok and guessing

Love the product.

Pros: It's template features are great, avoids redundant work. Notifications are very helpful in maintaining focus.

Cons: Takes time to get to a moderate level of ability. With intro of Accent new users should find this less problematic.

Overall: It provides the foundation for communicating the importance of planning within the organization - something project managers love!

Workfront is an awesome tool. It saves time and fosters teamwork.

Cons: No "Undo" button, this is a standard feature in almost all of frequently used software

Pros: Clear task priorities for the team. Strong admin functionality to be able to customize usage. Proofing tool for creative teams.

Cons: Proofing tool still needs a lot of love. Forms are shared across all departments which leads to strange naming conventions to make a work around. Why this had not been fixed yet I don't know it seems to be a common problem.

Overall: Project management for a creative team.

Pros: User interface is intuitive and collaboration is easy using updates. Reporting tool is robust and online help articles support customization, easy to follow directions even for non-technical users. Product is constantly being improved and updates don't disrupt day-to-day activities. Provides us visibility into our projects and portfolios that we didn't have previously.

Cons: There are some settings that I would like to be able to configure as a system admin, but I can't. For example, only items from Current projects appear in My Work, but we track work at earlier stages of a project, before it has been approved.

Overall: Transparency into status reporting for projects to executives. Reporting and dashboard capabilities into resource management and budgeting to have more control into planning and prioritizing project work.

Pros: Most is that it helps to keep people accountable. It has also helped us sort of the feelings vs facts in regards to project management. Everyone is also able to create their own view to manage how they want to manage their own work.

Cons: There is a ton of stuff you can do in the program and everything is not necessarily out of the box. Its not all intuitive. It requires a ton of patience and time.

Pros: The ease of use; and support throughout deployment was fantastic! The scheduling and resource management functionality is beyond compare!

Cons: Some of the functionality for batch edits on work lists could (and will be) improved. When there are a lot of old tasks in your worklist - there is no easy way to clear them all.

Pros: Clean interface, ability to customize based on our specific business needs. I like that it keeps communication with requesters and the actual deliverables all in one place. Our associates find the time tracking aspect pretty simple.

Cons: Often it's a lot of clicks to get to where I want to go. You can get lost in options with the set up. As an admin, converting the issues to projects feels time consuming. I'm still trying to understand the resource management tools available.

Overall: Capacity management, consolidation of communication and project specs, along with the ability to attach deliverables, all in one place. Easy to assign and re-assign projects based on business needs.

Pros: User experience is excellent our clients love using it! The ability to create a multitude of reports (e.g. intake, tasks, how many requests and by who).

Using the notifications (on both site and cell) as ticklers to keep track of what to focus on.

Ability to decide what kind and how many notifications to receive.

Online training (Ascent) and resources to answer most questions.

Local communities (go Mid-Atlantic user group!) which offer an opportunity to collaborate with other system admins, workers and users.

Support has been very good. If we don't get a good resolution via email, we can either Skype or have a conversation. Usually resolve issues within 48 hours. IF it needs to be escalated, our customer rep is always on it.

Cons: With all the new integrations being offered, there isn't much I don't like. I will say it would be helpful to be able to respond to an email from someone, generated in Workfront, and have it captured on the project. Would also like to see all updates (project, task, proof) ALL show up in the update feed.

Pros: The ability to collaborate is fantastic. You can @ comment people in updates and/or subscribe to tasks and projects to stay in the loop. The ability to customize notifications was a big selling point for our team. We get notifications on the things that matter most to us!

Pros: Workfront is one if the most comprehensive work management solutions out there. Regardless of what business sector you're in, there is truly a use case for capturing and managing your work within Workfront.

Cons: Because it is so capable, it can be overwhelming for first-time users. Workfront is by far one of the easier systems to onboard when compared to other PPM and work management solutions, but it needs solid training and communication plans in order to achieve good adoption rates.

Overall: Ability to not only manage projects, but visibility into what folks are working on outside of the traditional PPM means.

Pros: It works well with project management and task management. After using many pieces of software over the years this is definitely the best.

Cons: Reporting. There are lots of built in reporting tools but we have a need to import our data in our reporting database to join with information outside of Workfront. Right now it takes custom API Coding to get it up and going. It all lives in a database somewhere, it would be nice to get a dump of data out.

Overall: Simple and easy to use.

The management of duration dates have proven to be a troublesome for project owners. I will always do a "clean up sweep" .

Pros: WorkFront is very easy to use with little to no training. Things are logically organized and I can usually figure out how to do something just by looking around for a bit.

Cons: I can't really think of a con. As an admin I don't use WorkFront as a normal user but as an admin i find it much easier to support than other similar apps.

Love Workfront. We implemented and launched in January. Truly amazing tool!

Pros: Resource allocation tools. Capacity planning. Scheduling.
being able to collaborate with the team.
Reporting is very robust.

Cons: Adoption. It's not the tool, it's the people.
With every tool there could be tweaks and I know they will be coming in the future.

Overall: Reporting is robust.
I love the resource allocation and scheduling tools.
The Home function lets everyone know what they need to do and when.

Pros: All of the project info are from real-time data, users can access anywhere,managers cab use app o easy access the project.

Cons: it's hard for new users to start with API coding and use text mode, because of lacking of documentation

Pros: To solidify the process on the team, use cross functionally, hold individuals accountable, build out templates, focus on reporting/dashboards.

Cons: missing ability to export to powerpoint, talk to slack, and post in outlook calendar; would love to see this integrated in the future

Pros: There is a lot of flexibility available in this system. We use it for Project Management, Creative Trafficking and Web and IT Help Requests.

Cons: I feel like there is so much more to know but little time and resources to learn it all. Trying to take in as much as possible at LEAP but time is limited.

Overall: Much easier from a PM perspective than MS Project.

Great tool... easy to use... helps us track and prioritize

Pros: The system is incredibly robust. Though we are a small agency, we are growing incredibly fast and Workfront is allowing us to scale. The request set-up and customization allows us to make the system exactly what we need.

Cons: For a small agency, I'm the only person who was able to participate heavily in the implementation phase. I could have used a longer implementation or something that was slightly modified for a project manager that has significant day-to-day responsibilities that don't allow for a lot of extra time to set things up.

Super easy to use and very easy to configure.

Pros: Workfront is great in allowing our business to evolve over time. We roll out new processes very easily.

Cons: I honestly do not have any cons at the moment. I am a system admin and absolutley love working in the system

Pros: Workfront helps us track campaign launches with ease. Both our campaign and content teams use it daily and are now tuned in to their tasks for the day, but can also forecast out the work.

Cons: There are so many features that it can be a little overwhelming. Luckily there are some quick and short training videos up front but the more you get in, the more you realize how very powerful this tool is.

Overall: So far, Workfront has helped us forecast our work, manage projects, track KPIs and deliver with ease.

Overall my experience with Workfront is positive. We are still evolving in our use of the tool.

Pros: The tool allows for configuration that can support the processes of the organization. The features for reporting, custom forms and project templates are valuable.

Cons: The learning curve for some of the advanced features has taken longer than I would like. The software was designed so that a variety of paths are available for any one feature. For new users this is overwhelming.

Overall: Improved reporting and a support for a more defined project intake process.

Pros: I like using templates for our recurring monthly projects. I also like using tasks to keep track of my "to do" list.

Cons: At the moment, I am having a little difficulty deactivating users in Worfkront and ProofHQ. I'm currently working with Customer Care to help resolve this issue.

Overall: We manage many sales events and this is a great tool for our Marketing Department to keep track of what needs to be done. We also have monthly recurring projects such as newsletters, email blasts, etc. that need to be tracked as well. It keeps us on target so that we get our projects done. We are still tweaking things here and there as we go along, but overall, our team is using the software on a daily basis.

Only PM software worth my time so far.

Pros: I don't think I have ever missed a feature with workfront. Others are always missing something. I really like using this daily.

Cons: Somewhat pricey when the org gets big enough. When we had about 50 people we were fine, but when we got to more than 100 it seemed like we needed a discount.

Pros: The software provides a level of visibility that we didn't previously have. It got us out from under the mountain of emails and meetings and allowed our marketing team to truly work collaboratively.

Cons: Sometimes new users (depending on their technology acumen) require more training that what I feel is reasonable.

Overall: Workfront has allowed us to change the way we worked previously to a more streamlined daily process. We are able to complete more work thanks to the software.

Pros: I like that all of my work in is one place. I like that all the work is in one place for all departments. If this software is used properly it can be used not only for PM but for other types of requirements.

Cons: There are times when the software is not very stable. There are times when the software will make the changes that are needed. Sometimes the changes will not take effect and things will need to be re-entered.
