CEO Mental Health Care Used the software for: 6-12 months ### "Best Value and Support of All SlackBots" October 15, 2019 5.0 The feature we use the most is the status update. Slack already allows you to quickly update your status, but we found that people would put up funny statuses but no one would see them unless they were trying to message them. OfficeBot's status update is just as fast but also sends a notification to a channel of your choosing, which we chose "water-cooler". This makes us all more aware of what we are doing. This goes well with the main feature of the product which is to update everyone on who is out for the day whether it be PTO or Vacation. I know that there are tons of apps that do this, but OfficeBot has an external link where you can see a calendar of either your own or your team's time off. Pros The support is amazing. They literally took my suggestions and implemented them within days. I also think the price is extremely fair which I certainly cannot say about most apps in the Slack directory. Cons I think this could be more robust in adding more HR like features to it. Alternatives considered [TriNet HR Plus](https://www.capterra.com/p/133019/Zenefits/) Reason for choosing OfficeBot Zenefits certainly has more features including payroll. But we ended up using Rippling for our payroll and HR system. Rippling is great, but it lacks in Slack integration. OfficeBot fills in the gaps we were missing. Pros Pre-COVID I probably would not have used this tool. It is great for knowing who is where and what they are doing. Cons Employees might feel like it is big brother watching. We quickly configured OfficeBot to do exactly what we need it to do. People quickly adopted OfficeBot and it's appearing in more and more team channels. Pros A very simple application that helps teams communicate across the floor their work availability. You never have to wonder if someone is on vacation or working from home or have an appointment and are coming in late. Cons It would be great if people could belong to multiple teams. Pros Simple to setup and very easy to use. Absolutely exceptional customer service! Cons There was one feature missing, but it was implemented within a week. Pros We use this like the old in/out boards. It has helped us to improve sharing WFH and PTO days. Cons It's very command specific. It got better when they implemented the Natural Language Processing but still has quirks.
