### "Great Idea"

May 14, 2024

4.0

Initially it was great. Now, it serves more like an upgraded blog for all of my previous content.

Pros

In the beginning, Mighty Networks was GREAT for building a "Facebook" like community and more. The set up allowed more people to be engaged in general content and to participate with one another.

Cons

They changed their structure, making members and content specific to rooms or spaces and that instantly limited my overall, general engagement and the ability market and encourage users to move into paid spaces.

### "Great Community Hosting Platform"

July 9, 2021

5.0

I am using Mighty Networks to host an online software and hardware training community for my company's products. I provide both general and custom assistance with "how do I" and "what is" software questions that are not in tech support's wheelhouse and I offer tips and techniques based on user questions and needs. Answers fellow users provide to help each other are vetted for accuracy and modified if needed. We are gradually weaning people away from clogging up tech support phone lines with issues based on operator ignorance. Thus far only 2% of our users are taking advantage of this service, so there's a lot of growth to come.

Pros

1\. Mobility: Mighty Networks ability to enable me to create a community website with paid options that could be easily accessed on a computer, tablet or phone, without me having to have extensive staff or knowledge to produce different versions of content. 2. Reliability: The software doesn't fail. I haven't had any worries about my users being able to access content or the community. 3. Support: Mighty Networks' staff has been very responsive and helpful. When I have a problem, if the answer isn't on their helpdesk, I get a return message/email within 24 hours and they walk me through the solution. 4. Growth: I like that they have a roadmap and that they continue to expand their capabilities and give users heads up when they're coming and what they're doing so that we know what to expect and whether it will benefit or impact the services we offer through the gateway of Mighty Networks. FYI, adding the automated tax solution for transactions was HUGE. I look forward to the "Spaces" innovation that is coming soon.

Cons

The biggest con for me is the lack of customer/user management features. I am not notified the instant someone cancels; in fact,. it's rare that I'm notified at all. I have to run daily reports and compare them to my existing database of members, to ensure I've welcomed everyone new, see who's been retained and who chose to leave. I can't just look at a settings file online and get a customer database and status report based on the individuals. It's a little frustrating how many outside products/apps I need to subscribe to, learn, master and keep "up" on, etc. to be able to do everything I need to do to serve my community and make it worth paying for. There's Stripe and the tax software, I can't live without Typeform to be able to steer my users to the appropriate purchase price, and I need YouTube or Vimeo to host videos, and Zoom for meetings and webinars (used to use Crowdcast Pro, have since let that go).

### "Go Mighty with Community"

January 27, 2023

4.0

I wish Mighty Networks was around and that I discovered it earlier. Moving away from big social media and being able to create my communities has been a game changer for my work. Community is a superpower, and Mighty provides powerful tools to unite and engage my members.

Pros

Mighty Networks gives me autonomy and the ability to curate a community outside algorithmically driven social media spaces like Facebook groups. With Mighty, I've grown and supported a community of members with similar goals and values. We're having a real-world impact while supporting each other. As an educator, Mighty's course-building tools have enabled me to create engaging hands-on lessons that reach more people.

Cons

I love that Mighty integrates with Stripe, but sometimes setting up and making plans feels a little clunky - especially if you want to change the plans afterwards. That said, this has gotten much better over the almost two years since I've been using Mighty.

Reason for choosing Mighty Networks

Patreon seemed like a helpful tool for funding the work but was limited in its community-building tools. Patreon is essentially a one-way conversation with fans, and I wanted a create a community. With Mighty's course-building tools, I could move all my courses online under one roof.

### "Combining user discussion, online courses, email list, and shareable content on one platform"

July 9, 2021

5.0

Mighty Networks is where LinkedIn Groups could have been if they had not lost their way. LinkedIn would rarely solicit user feedback and always ignored it when they did interact with their users. MN actively solicits user feedback and builds that feedback into their development plans. LinkedIn changes were always surprises and disappointments. MN provides advance notice of what they are working on (or considering) and the enhancements are always excellent functional improvements.

Pros

We were able to move all of our discussions off LiinkedIn with the addition of splitting into multiple topics and sub-groups (not possible on LinkedIn). Further, we no longer need an email list program nor a separate course building platform with everything integrated on the MN platform. It is also hard to beat the availability of key people within MN when trying to push the platform to its limits. They are quick to respond and often add suggestions to their development plans.

Cons

Minor issue - moving discussion threads between topics is excellent, but replies can be lost when moving a discussion thread from one sub-group to another.

Reason for choosing Mighty Networks

Did not really find anything that integrated everything we wanted to do on one platform.

### "The Future of Digital Community"

December 28, 2019

5.0

My experience has been amazing. I am 100% satisfied with Mighty Networks as a company and a product. The future of digital community is being build on the foundation that Mighty Networks is setting.

Pros

My favorite part about this software is the beautiful simplicity of the software. Although it's easy to use and clean, it also has a wide range of features that are continuously being added. Everyone who has joined my community has said the same thing, "This is amazing!" People love Mighty Networks because it is a true community builder!

Cons

It's difficult for me to find any cons or even constructive criticism for Mighty Networks. From my conversations with the MN team, I know we're still at the beginning. Perhaps I can mention a few enhancements that I'd like to see (I'm sure these are on the way) 1. No native video (Ideally, I'd be able to upload video directly within MN.) 2. Lack of ways to pay out ambassadors (Having simpler ways to pay members for referrals would be helpful as well.) 3. No "live" features inside of the program (I'd like to "go live" with my entire audience without having to leave MN.)

Reason for choosing Mighty Networks

I evaluated every alternative I could find. I did trials of multiple community platforms, there wasn't even a second place in my book. I spent hours and hours doing this research. The value of Mighty Networks is unmatched by any other community building platform on the market. Believe me, I've been through them all.

### "Lots of potential here, but I've ultimately gone with something else."

May 13, 2022

3.0

Overall this platform has potential, but there were too many issues, too many downsides, and too many complaints from my customers to keep it. I'm now testing out other platforms that have courses and community integrated and will see how it all goes.

Pros

\- community directly linked to the courses - one off courses as well as membership tiers available - events and links to Zoom - mobile app

Cons

\- video and audio playback is buggy - community chat is also buggy and doesn't always update and requires a manual refresh - users said the Ux Interface was hard to navigate and they couldn't always find what they were looking for. - they ALSO charge a transaction fee on top of the monthly subscription fee for the platform

Reason for choosing Mighty Networks

Because of the integrated community component as well as the app.

Review Source

Response from Mighty Networks

May 17, 2022

Hi Avery, we just shipped a fix for the playback issue you described. And our navigation updates later this year should streamline any UX issues. We still feel when it comes to courses and community in one place, there's no product like Mighty on the market. We'd love to host you again in the future!

### "Community Forum"

June 15, 2023

5.0

I am happy to have this app to connect with people in my community. It is nice to have a group solely focused on the subject at hand. Mighty Networks allows information to be shared between community members.

Pros

I like that it is a way to connect with people in a group I am in. People can post and share ideas as well as comment. It is relatively easy to see what has been posted and to follow the discussion.

Cons

I don't find the interface to be the most easy to use. I was in another group on another app and it seemed easier to navigate than this. However, it is easy enough to use. I just don't find myself using it as much as I used the other app when I was in the other group.

### "The backbone of my business"

February 1, 2023

5.0

It’s been tremendous and I recommend it to anyone looking to build community on a platform. It has exceeded my expectations at every turn.

Pros

I love the mobile-first design of the platform and the functionality through the app. Additionally, it’s the best way I’ve found to organize and interact with my content. This is a big deal when you create as much as I do. What really takes it over the edge is the amount of resources Mighty offers you to really make your platform sing.

Cons

It can occasionally be confusing to remember where to go on the site to edit some of the settings. The support is very prompt though, and there are lots of ways to search for answers.

### "Small But Mighty"

August 11, 2021

5.0

Mighty Networks is something that I look forward to watching grow and evolve. The market is wide open and they have yet to let me down.

Pros

I have built very successful groups on facebook but when doing so there is always a level of fear and trepidation when it comes to building a community on a platform you have no control of. Groups are just 1 segment of the Facebook market, and they could effectively kill groups at any time. Having a third party tool to continue growing a community is key to the ever changing landscape.

Cons

The benefit of Mighty Networks is also the detriment. Because my group is no longer on FB, daily entries in to the group are lower and the overall experience for members is lower. Now people have to go out of their way to join and participate. This means less people over all, but more dedicated people.

### "I love Mighty Networks"

May 4, 2023

5.0

Mighty Networks offers resources that support my growth as a business owner to thrive in this ever-changing world. I sought MN out because I wanted an alternative to FB, and I'm so grateful I did. I received far more than another option - I discovered a new way of showing up and growing my business, serving my clients and members - and, most importantly, making it fun! Mighty inspires me to up-level my business and think differently about how a community can support my business.

Pros

Mighty Networks is amazing! Not only do I like the cultural software, but the support of the whole MN team and their standout guides is better than anything else out there. Adding spaces has been a game changer for the organization of my community. And I really like the other hosts who are on MN. Hands down it's the best out there.

Cons

Sometimes it can be difficult to navigate through the new tech, but they have incredible host support that whenever I've had a problem, it's been resolved and that is the most important thing.

### "Switched from Facebook and never looked back"

October 19, 2022

5.0

Pros

I used to use Facebook groups to manage my groups and host my courses separately, but MN allows me to manage my members and give them access to my content/courses. This has been a game changer for me as I have my content and membership in one location. MN is easy to navigate, the team are also fantastic always adding value on how to use the software. The customer service is also outstanding and responds quickly.

Cons

I think the learning curve, especially for my members from Facebook who are not tech savvy. It has taken them a while to get used to the MN and some of them have left, however, I am in the progress of signing up new members as they seem to adapt faster to the software.

### "The Best Community Software "

July 20, 2021

5.0

Pros

When I started my online community, I didn't want to rely on Facebook and I also wanted software that would allow me to share pre-recorded workshops etc. Mighty Networks really is the best of both worlds. If you include topics you can easily build a resource database for your members AND you have a social media feed where members can interact with each other. It's super easy to use, much cheaper than Kajabi and the likes (which imo don't really work for a membership anyways) and the customer service is the best.

Cons

Here are some smaller adjustments that I'd like to see in the future: - option to choose more than one topic for an article - embedment of audio, instead of file sharing - migrate members from monthly to annual plans - plans in NZD - more options to adjust the landing page - free trial period for members without having to put in credit card details (and allow members to use the whole trial period even if they cancel earlier)

### "Great for community and remaining focused on material"

November 30, 2022

5.0

Mighty Networks is a great community network tool, that when leveraged the right way can be incredibly impactful for people wishing to learn in community.

Pros

What I love about Mighty Networks is that it connects me to fellow communities, without the distractions of social media. I don't participate in Facebook groups often, and it's always frustrating when it is used as a classroom component. Mighty Networks is a great alternative for folks that wish to create a much more focused and intentional experience for their communities.

Cons

I wish that private group messaging was easier to manage and edit. At the moment it isn't possible to simply add another person to an existing group message. Instead I need to restart the thread hoping that I won't need to add another person. As a user this is frustrating, and as someone trying to bring people together in a discussion it can feel too clunky and messy.

Pros

The whole package — MN is the reason my company went to market. Being able to grow a community around an interest (in our case, comedy) and deliver both belonging and mastery, all in the same place = game changer.

Cons

### "MN intuitively understands what people desire in a social network"

July 27, 2021

5.0

Overall, this software has been a game changer. No one I’ve ever recommended it to has passed on it. Mighty Networks is the secret garden between, say, Facebook and Discord.

Pros

So many features and so cleanly organized! New members are automatically led through an onboarding process, which frees my team up for more creative engagement work. And on the Host end, there’s also a walkthrough process. So overall, I love the intuitive design of this software.

Cons

Since launching my MN in April 2019, my biggest critique to date is the lack of a hashtag feature — or at the least, the option to tag a post with multiple topics. Probably 80-90% of the questions or complaints I receive are about this lack.

### "Great design and competitive pricing, but I wish MN worked with PayPal or Square"

July 27, 2021

5.0

I would stay with Mighty Networks if I could process my subscription payments directly with MN, or with another payment processor.

Pros

I love the design. I love that there is a mobile app. I also really appreciate that Mighty Networks hosts video for courses so I don’t have to look elsewhere for video hosting. I really like the topic organization as well.

Cons

I wish Mighty Networks would partner with another payment processor because Stripe is highly restrictive as to which businesses it allows to hold accounts. I am a lawyer, a psychic, and a spiritual educator and I sought to use Mighty Networks to host my monthly membership community where I help folks with their spiritual development. However, Stripe closed my account because I provide psychic services. For this reason I am migrating to another platform that allows me to process payments without having to use Stripe. I am very disappointed because I love the platform and so do my clients. They have been on there for the past 8 weeks in my online course but I have decided to also migrate my course to my website.

### "A platform of potential!"

July 25, 2021

5.0

We love Mighty Networks! It is always evolving, adding value and we are learning all the time. Our members love having a safe place to communicate and learn. You get out what you put in with MN!

Pros

The customisation options, the courses platform, the look and feel of the platform are all fantastic. As is Might Network's commitment to continuous improvement and the Mighty Host community and learning experiences.

Cons

The membership plans can be cumbersome and confusing. Would love to be able to duplicate and amend plans instead of starting from scratch each time. Customised welcome messaging would also be great.

### "Forward thinking"

December 24, 2019

5.0

It is a robust, easy to use program that makes it easy for anyone to build their own community and have their own app without complicated (or expensive) tech. Once they tie in more video options it will take everything to the next level!

Pros

The software has grown a lot since I first started using is a year ago. Right away I saw the benefits of this amazing software that would allow me to take my membership community to the next level – I'm a techie and I'm always ahead of the curve so this software was a perfect match!

Cons

When I first started with the software a year ago it was still being developed in terms of ease of use for providing different types of membership options which now is available.

It's a pretty good experience and ensure I can be part of networks that are of interest to me.

Pros

A very useful networking tool easy to use and having an app as well as desktop version makes it very useful.

Cons

The experience is not as smooth as compared to say Guild or LinkedIn. The key drawback is that updates on the platform are not as immediate as other platforms.

Cons

### "Why I love Mighty Networks for hosting my commune"

July 8, 2020

5.0

Mighty Networks is my favorite community platform. The staff is super responsive and engaging with their hosts. I highly recommend it to anyone wanting to engage, in a focused manner, with a community.

Pros

Mighty Networks is an aesthetically beautiful and well-designed platform that allows members to connect, without distraction. It allows for intentionality when members want to engage, and keep them focused on the most important happenings, with featured and welcome sections.

Cons

I wish there were a way for admins to notify members of the day's posts once. I also do not believe members can notify others (via email) when the create a new post. These features would help to decrease member emails while also keeping members in the loop.

Provides an excellent pace for our community. The course builder provides a simple course experience for our users that can then get extra support via the community allowing us to layer in value to our users.

Pros

I really like the community features. Particularily the ability to have small sub groups within the community that can have access to different resources.
