Meanwhile 20 staff members are without groceries and rent. Do not recommend at all. Pros I enjoyed the ease of payroll and the transparency for staff. I also enjoyed the clock in and out feature and the ability to call with a problem. Cons They did not pay my staff on time for a paydate of 08/08. I submitted payroll 08/06 at 5:48pm ESTwith a due date of 7:45pm EST. On that friday 08/07 they took payroll taxes $8k, workers comp $600, and their fees $153 out of my account. On Saturday morning my staff starts calling me saying they did not receive paychecks. I call ADP and they said "i paid out $33k when I normally do $25k so they sent me a verification of funds email". They have never done this before. I did not receive the email but found it in my spam. Their verification is now taking till Monday 08/10 so my staff is being paid late. I am calling 20 staff members to write them personal checks, wire them the money, or asking them if they can wait till Monday. ADP said why is there an $8k difference. I said "I hired more people. We ran summer camp. And I gave everyone raises. The biggest issue is you can see that! You are my payroll company. You have all this info, and yet you withheld paychecks from my staff on a weekend." We are leaving ADP for this reason and would not recommend them. I'm new to running a business, so I'm constantly trying to figure things out, but ADP hasn't really had to be one of those learning curves because of it's ease of use and support. I've been thankful for how it reminds me of the dates for each payroll, keeps my employee's information for me in one place, allows me to send our handbook to sign for each new employee, and how easy it was to create the handbook. I've been thankful for email reminders and for reminders within the system for paperwork that's missing and needed. Those seem like small things, but are actually really big because it's so easy in business to forget things like that. Pros Everything is in one place for a newer business owner like myself. I'm able to ask questions directly to a person who emails me back and even calls to talk through things when I need help. In addition, I can chat for quicker questions online and get problems solved in a timeliness that helps me keep my business going. I haven't seen any bugs or issues. I can count on ADP to do what it says it's going to do. It's quick and runs every time. I'm able to manage my employees simply and get all I need for taxes and unemployment info when I need it. If I can't find a report, the chat will get it to me, even sending me emails to run the report for me so I can keep moving. It does feel like a good value for the money because of these things. Cons Sometimes the reports are hard for me to find and understand. A couple of weeks ago I had an issue where the report I was running set to certain dates didn't come up as I'd asked it. However, once I got on chat, they quickly fixed that for me and sent me the report. I'd like to be able to get what I asked for without having to use the chat feature, but it was a help. There are so many ways to customize it to your needs. managing employees is a breeze. they clearly communicate when there will be an app shutdown, or if they need to fix any bugs. it is super fast and the speed with with they send paper checks for the employees that do not have direct deposit set up is wonderful. Also, they even offer a debit card from "wisely" for employees to sign up to get direct deposit. Pros As a small nonprofit, it's so nice not having to worry about employees getting paid timely and accurately. When I've had to call with questions, ADP always solves my issues quickly. Cons When the person in charge of payroll left our organization, I had to takeover and it took me a few pay periods to do it correctly. But again, there was always someone available to answer my questions.
