“It helps automate payroll, handle tax filings, and keep employee records organized, which reduces a lot of administrative work. While there are a few areas where the interface could be smoother, the reliability and support make it a dependable platform for managing payroll.“

“For a platform backed by an HR giant, its built-in reporting features can feel surprisingly restrictive. While it handles basic payroll summaries perfectly fine, users frequently complain that customizing reports or trying to cross-reference specific data points is clunky. If your business requires highly specific, tailored analytics or non-standard reporting templates, RUN often feels like a rigid box that you can't easily tweak“

### "ADP Run is easy to use and keeps you complaint"

August 5, 2026

5.0

Easy to use and good customer service. Feels good to know we are compliant with all our payroll needs.

Pros

The platform is really easy to use and we have multiple ways of reaching out for assistance when and if needed which is not often.

Cons

Having to change the deductions/reimbursement column names. I wish there was a drop box to add as many as want or need and then choose from in the future.

### "Makes Running Payroll Easier for Our Two Small Businesses"

August 17, 2026

5.0

Overall, we have had a pretty good experience with RUN by ADP. We are two small companies, so having something that makes payroll easier is very important to us. It saves us time and keeps everything together in one place. There are some things that can be a little confusing, but once you learn the system it works pretty good. The support has also been helpful when we have questions. Overall, it has made keeping up with payroll and employees a lot easier for us.

Pros

What I like most about RUN by ADP is that it makes doing payroll a lot easier for us. We run two small companies, so we don't have a big office staff to handle everything. ADP saves us a lot of time and keeps the payroll and employee information all in one place. Once you get used to it, it's pretty easy to use and it takes a lot of the headache out of doing payroll.

Cons

The biggest thing I don't like is that sometimes it can be hard to figure out where to find something in the system. There are a lot of different options and menus, and it can get a little confusing. Sometimes I also feel like there are easier ways to do certain things. But once you get used to it, it's not too bad.

### "Please Do Better"

July 24, 2026

3.0

The product is great, the rest of the experience, not so much. I do not understand the point of having people in charge of helping others if they are unwilling to respond to inquiries.

Pros

I appreciate that employees can choose up to 4 accounts for direct deposit, and it is easy to get people signed up for MyADP. There was one person I spoke to over the phone who assisted with correcting a payroll, and she was delightful and took care of the issue while explaining how to avoid it in the future. I appreciate her so much!

Cons

Everything about the setup and attempts to receive assistance from ADP has been a nightmare. The company was assigned a person who is supposed to help with the account after setup, and they have not responded to any of several messages sent. The person we worked with to get things set up is largely non-responsive and has made promises that haven't been kept. I am so happy for the company that the contract is not terribly long-term, because this process has been awful with the exception of the person noted in the pros section.

### "ADP RUN: The Go to Payroll Platform for SMBs "

June 1, 2026

5.0

Overall Run Powered by ADP is the perfect solution for offering an easy to use payroll platform for my clients. It covers all of their compliance needs and is able to handle the variety of payroll needs that may arise from their industry.

Pros

When it comes to payroll providers there are many options to choose from in the space. As a CAS firm, ADP Run is the perfect solution for our small business clients. Run is an easy to use solution for onboarding employees and running their payroll. ADPs team is also a big help when it comes to onboarding or small business clients.

Cons

Overall there are not too many issues with RUN. I would say there is room for them to advance the technical side of their product like some of their competitors have. The QBO integration could have a few more features and be a bit more robust than it's current iteration.

### "Solid and Reliable Customer Service "

August 19, 2026

5.0

Overall RUN has been great to work with to get our employees paid and handle reporting and QTR/year-end numbers. We probably do not use RUN to the fullest as we do have other applications that we incorporate into the payroll process.

Pros

RUN's customer service is spot on every time I need them - no matter what the issue is at hand. They always have a solution for any issue I have arise.

Cons

We are unique in how we pay our employees and RUN is not as customizable in the actual payroll platform as I would prefer.

### "Its easy and user friendly, recommend"

August 19, 2026

5.0

Pretty good over all. I like that I can handle payroll form anywhere and that I have support from ADP when I needed it.

Pros

I like that my staff has access to the app and can manage their payroll info on their own. That way I have more time to handle the other operations of the business and my team feels that they have some control and can confirm their status on certain things themselves.

Cons

It can get a little glitchy, especially when they have to make corrections. It doesn't happen as much now

### "A Great Payroll Solution for Small Businesses"

July 24, 2026

5.0

RUN Powered by ADP has been a valuable tool for our small business. It has helped us streamline payroll, stay compliant with tax requirements, and spend less time on administrative tasks so we can focus on running our business. The platform is user-friendly, dependable, and provides good value for the services included. While there is room for improvement with reporting options and the cost of add-on features, it's been a dependable solution that we would recommend to other small businesses looking for an easy-to-use payroll system.

Pros

As a small business, we need payroll to be accurate, efficient, and easy to manage, and RUN Powered by ADP delivers. Processing payroll is quick, tax filings are handled automatically, and direct deposit makes payday simple for our employees. The platform is easy to learn, and having payroll, employee records, and basic HR tools in one place saves us valuable time. Whenever we've contacted customer support, they've been helpful and responsive. It is easy to communicate with customer support whenever we have needed to and they are very responsive.

Cons

Some features that would be useful for a growing small business, such as more advanced HR tools and reporting, require additional subscriptions. We'd also like to see more flexibility in customizing reports and occasional improvements to the platform's speed during busy payroll periods.

### "Fast, easy, reliable and affordable. "

July 28, 2026

5.0

It's been great for years now. I find it an easy and straightforward payroll experience. Overall 9.5/10.

Pros

RUN ADP has been incredibly easy to navigate. Very simple and straightforward interface, clean layout. Customer support is excellent and 24/7. Quick and knowledgable. I find it very affordable. I have a small business with 7-10 employees at any given time but this would be great for any size business. I'm able to do payroll for 8 employees in about 4 minutes which makes it incredibly easy to process quickly. I've looked at several other platforms and continue to utilize ADP year after year.

Cons

I don't think there's anything I dislike about this platform. I honestly can't think of anything other than they offer a lot of products I don't use (I don't pay for these, and they don't harass you I just have to fill 100 characters).

### "Say Goodbye to Payroll Headaches "

July 29, 2026

5.0

I prefer RUN over other payroll & HR platforms that I have worked with in the past. It allows me to to efficiently complete my tasks with minimal effort. All of my interactions with RUN representatives have been a pleasure.

Pros

RUN is easily navigated, and when there is a question, the RUN support team is easily reached and helpful.

Cons

It can sometimes to be difficult and time consuming to build the exact report that I am looking for. Most of the reports I use are already in the RUN platform, so this isn't a huge inconvenience for me.

### "All around the BEST"

April 23, 2026

5.0

Working with ADP has been a genuinely smooth and positive experience from start to finish. From the initial setup, their implementation team walked us through every step, making what could have been a complicated transition feel organized and manageable. One standout moment was during our first payroll run. Everything processed accurately and on time, and the system made it easy to review details before submitting. When we had a few questions about tax setup and employee classifications, customer support responded quickly and explained everything in a way that actually made sense, which saved us a lot of stress. Over time, the platform proved to be reliable and easy to navigate. Employees were able to access their pay stubs and tax documents without confusion, and administrative tasks that used to take hours became much faster. Reports were especially helpful—they gave clear insights without needing to dig through complicated menus. Overall, the experience has been consistent, efficient, and dependable. ADP has made payroll and HR processes feel far less overwhelming, allowing us to focus more on running the business instead of managing paperwork.

Pros

If you’re looking for a well-rounded payroll and HR solution, ADP consistently delivers strong performance across the areas that matter most. Value for Money: ADP offers a solid return on investment. While it may not be the cheapest option on the market, the breadth of features—payroll, HR tools, compliance support—makes it worth the cost for businesses that want reliability and scalability. Customer Support: Customer support is one of ADP’s standout strengths. Their representatives are generally knowledgeable and responsive, helping resolve issues efficiently and providing guidance when navigating more complex payroll or HR situations. Ease of Use: The platform is user-friendly, especially once you’re familiar with it. Tasks like running payroll, managing employee data, and accessing reports are streamlined, saving time for both administrators and employees. Bugs and Issues: Like any software, ADP isn’t completely free of occasional glitches, but major issues are relatively rare. When they do arise, support is typically quick to address them, minimizing disruption. Process Implementation: Implementation is structured and thorough. ADP provides onboarding assistance to help businesses transition smoothly, though the process can take some time depending on the size and complexity of the organization. User Interface: The interface is clean and professional. While not overly flashy, it’s functional and organized, making it easy to find key features and complete tasks without unnecessary confusion. Overall: ADP is a dependable choice for businesses that want a comprehensive payroll and HR solution backed by strong support and proven systems.

Cons

Process Implementation: Implementation can be lengthy and complex, especially for smaller companies. The setup process may require multiple steps, coordination with support teams, and time to properly configure payroll, taxes, and employee data. User Interface: The interface, while functional, can feel outdated and somewhat cluttered. Some areas—like reporting—are often described as clunky or difficult to navigate efficiently. Overall: ADP is powerful, but that power comes with trade-offs—higher costs, a steeper learning curve, and occasional support or usability frustrations. It tends to be better suited for mid-sized to large businesses rather than very small teams.

### "MyADP Experience"

April 20, 2026

2.0

Our overall experience did not meet expectations, particularly given the critical nature of payroll. Communication was often reactive rather than proactive, which made managing employee expectations difficult when issues arose. There was also misalignment between sales and support teams regarding included services, resulting in avoidable follow-up and delays. Organizations that require highly reliable payroll execution, fast resolution, and proactive support should carefully evaluate whether ADP meets those needs. In general, the RUN and Timekeeping Plus products are limited compared to our prior provider.

Pros

ADP is a well-established provider with a broad payroll and HR offering. The Chat icon is one of the best futures of RUN. Using this chat feature, I was able to complete my second payroll with ADP without any assistance or guidance from the Implementation Team.

Cons

Payroll reliability and service responsiveness were ongoing concerns. We experienced payroll funding timing issues despite submitting everything accurately and on time, along with inconsistent guidance from different departments. Customer support often involved long hold times, unreturned messages, and unclear ownership for time-sensitive issues. Additionally, the platform lacked functionality we previously had with another provider, including more flexible reporting, document management with e-signature, seamless data integrations, and timekeeping controls and administrative visibility are limited.

### "RUN is a great product"

March 6, 2026

5.0

I’ve had a great experience using RUN Powered by ADP for payroll. The software is streamlined, intuitive, and very easy to use. ADP makes payroll a simple and well-organized task, which saves a lot of time. I also really like the look and feel of the layout—it’s clean and easy to navigate. On top of that, the customer service is excellent. The chat representatives are knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to communicate with, and they provide clear guidance whenever I’ve needed help. I highly recommend ADP to anyone looking for a smooth and reliable payroll solution.

Pros

streamlined, intuitive, and very user-friendly, which is especially valuable for small business owners who may not have a dedicated payroll or HR department. The layout is clean and organized, making it simple to move through each payroll step without confusion. Once everything is set up, running payroll becomes a quick and efficient task that can be completed with confidence. I also appreciate the strong customer support—when questions come up, the chat representatives are knowledgeable, responsive, and easy to communicate with. Overall, the system removes much of the stress from payroll and helps keep everything accurate and organized.

Cons

One aspect that could be improved in RUN Powered by ADP is the navigation menu on the left side of the screen. While it’s helpful that the platform offers so many features and tools, the number of options in the menu can sometimes feel overwhelming. For users who only need the core payroll functions, the long list of menu items can make it a little harder to quickly find the most commonly used sections. A more simplified or customizable menu—where users could hide features they don’t use regularly—would make the interface even easier to navigate. That said, once you become familiar with the layout, it becomes easier to move around the system.

### "Reliable Payroll Solution for Small Businesses"

March 12, 2026

Overall, RUN Powered by ADP has been a dependable payroll platform that helps streamline payroll processing and keep employee records organized. It offers useful tools for small businesses and provides a straightforward way to manage payroll and reporting in one system.

Pros

RUN Powered by ADP offers a strong overall payroll solution with good value for the services provided. The platform is easy to use once you become familiar with it, and the interface makes running payroll, managing employees, and accessing reports straightforward. The employee management tools keep payroll records organized, and the implementation process helps guide businesses through the setup step by step. Customer support has generally been helpful when questions arise, and the account login and access system keeps information secure. Overall, the platform runs reliably with minimal bugs or issues and provides a dependable way to manage payroll for a small business.

Cons

Overall, I would do it again but wish there was a smaller, less expensive version for my small company that didn't include continuous attempts at upselling products and services my company doesn't need.

Pros

RUN does make tracking employee's times and employment info easier. Managing all of their information in one place.

Cons

RUN is not always intuitive to someone who is not an HR person. Some areas are a bit lagging but overall, my LEAST favorite thing about RUN and ADP is how they use your membership to do nothing but upsell you. ### "ADP Yearend Review "

December 16, 2025

5.0

Overall, our experience with RUN Powered by ADP has been positive. We are happy with the service, and the dedicated account managers are helpful and responsive in assisting with questions and addressing any concerns as they arise.

Pros

Specifically, RUN provided a straightforward, intuitive platform that allowed us to process payroll accurately and on time while accommodating the complexities of our workforce, including hourly employees, salaried staff, and job-costed labor. The integration of payroll with tax filings, compliance reporting, and year-end documentation reduced administrative burden and helped mitigate risk. We also appreciated ADP’s strong customer support and compliance expertise, which were particularly valuable in a regulated, multi-job environment such as construction. Overall, RUN supported operational consistency, scalability, and compliance, allowing our team to focus more on project execution and financial oversight rather than payroll administration.

Cons

The main downside was not having a dedicated contact. Each time we called support, we spoke with someone new and had to re-explain our payroll setup, which could be time-consuming and less efficient.

The system is pretty straightforward. Again, the only issue is transferring employees (which have to be manually reentered).

Pros

The software is innovative in that it has a plethora of data and information easily accessible (most of the time). Any issues are resolved quickly.

Cons

The transfer of employees is somewhat mundane in nature, being that they have to be reentered manually. This heightens the likelihood of errors.

### "ADP is truly one stop shopping! "

November 20, 2025

5.0

I have everything in one place- payroll, training, time and attendance, pay as you go WC insurance, tax filings, onboarding and off boarding.

Pros

I have used several different payroll solutions in the past. RUN is by far the easiest to implement and saves me so much time on my HR responsibilities. Customer service is also by far the best I have ever experienced; this is why I left my last provider. Everything is in one place and very intuitive. I love the notifications I get when my hourly employees have not clocked back in from either a break at the end of the shift. Report packages are already defined, although you can certainly choose what you want to see. This makes completing an audit a breeze.

Cons

My only complaint is on the timekeeping which does not allow me to define what a workday is. This is legally allowed in CA. When I sued the time and attendance system, I could define the workday as a 24 hour period starting at 12AM and ending at 1159PM. RUN does not allow this and merges hours together if there is less than 5 hours between any clock in and clock out. As I grow, I am not sure I can continue using RUN as this particular issue is becoming very time consuming to manage.

### "RUN Powered by ADP a Powerful Tool in the Hands of the Business Owner"

August 5, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with RUN Powered by ADP has been positive. I'm new to running a business, so I'm constantly trying to figure things out, but ADP hasn't really had to be one of those learning curves because of it's ease of use and support. I've been thankful for how it reminds me of the dates for each payroll, keeps my employee's information for me in one place, allows me to send our handbook to sign for each new employee, and how easy it was to create the handbook. I've been thankful for email reminders and for reminders within the system for paperwork that's missing and needed. Those seem like small things, but are actually really big because it's so easy in business to forget things like that.

Pros

Everything is in one place for a newer business owner like myself. I'm able to ask questions directly to a person who emails me back and even calls to talk through things when I need help. In addition, I can chat for quicker questions online and get problems solved in a timeliness that helps me keep my business going. I haven't seen any bugs or issues. I can count on ADP to do what it says it's going to do. It's quick and runs every time. I'm able to manage my employees simply and get all I need for taxes and unemployment info when I need it. If I can't find a report, the chat will get it to me, even sending me emails to run the report for me so I can keep moving. It does feel like a good value for the money because of these things.

Cons

Sometimes the reports are hard for me to find and understand. A couple of weeks ago I had an issue where the report I was running set to certain dates didn't come up as I'd asked it. However, once I got on chat, they quickly fixed that for me and sent me the report. I'd like to be able to get what I asked for without having to use the chat feature, but it was a help.

### "Streamlined Payroll Management That Delivers Real Value for Our Business"

March 9, 2026

5.0

Overall, RUN by ADP has proven to be a reliable, feature-rich payroll solution that grows with our business. From smooth account login to robust employee management tools, it covers everything we need under one roof. Customer support has been a genuine highlight: knowledgeable, friendly, and quick to help. For any small to mid-sized business like ours looking for a trustworthy payroll platform that offers strong value without sacrificing ease of use, RUN by ADP is absolutely worth it. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it.

Pros

RUN by ADP has been a game-changer for our business. The platform is incredibly intuitive, even as a team member with no prior payroll experience I was able to navigate it confidently from day one. Employee management is a standout feature; onboarding new hires, tracking hours, and managing records all happen in one centralized place, which saves us significant time. The value for money is excellent considering the breadth of features offered, and the automated compliance updates give us real peace of mind. Logging in is seamless across devices, and the dashboard gives an instant, clear overview of everything payroll-related and outstanding tasks.

Cons

The only minor friction we’ve experienced is with the initial process implementation phase, setting up payroll took a bit of time as we experienced delays from the DOR, though nothing that disrupted operations. To ADP’s credit, their customer support team was consistently responsive and walked us through every issue patiently and thoroughly, so no problem went unattended or unresolved.

### "ADP-Comprehensive Quality, Assistance, & Efficiency"

February 10, 2026

4.0

I have had pleasant interactions from the beginning with ADP representatives. When we were initially getting it set up, the woman who essentially trained me was above and beyond my expectations for kindness, and knowledgeability. Since then, ADP has been there at 3am on a Thursday when I forgot to run payroll to help make sure my employees still get paid by Friday, they've provided compliance trainings and posters for my employees to make sure we're operating within state mandates and requirements, and they have allowed me to streamline my payroll processes and make them more efficient with the convince of generating specific and recurring reports. There are still many features I haven't integrated into my business' daily uses but I am excited to continue introducing them and making things even more efficient with ADP.

Pros

I love the convenience of access for myself and my employees. The way they can make their paystubs and W-2's electronic, while also viewing their weekly payroll information all from their phone is a game changer. The ability to have my weekly payroll summary reports automatically download has also streamlined our bookkeeping process as well! Furthermore, I have found myself calling customer support when I've either made a payroll mistake on my end or am seeing something I don't understand and their comprehensive availability hours have been so helpful.

Cons

The fees to run payroll are definitely more expensive than the previous service provider we used, however the benefits are substantially more. It is definitely a cost we have to budget for now, but I would say it's well worth it for the benefits we receive and the information/assistance we have available to us at all times.

### "Simple, Reliable Payroll with Great Support"

January 27, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with RUN Powered by ADP® has been positive. It has made payroll more efficient, reduced manual work and compliance risk, and saved administrative time. The platform is reliable and easy to use, and the customer support is excellent, which makes it a strong solution for small businesses.

Pros

What I liked most about RUN Powered by ADP® is its reliability and ease of use. Payroll is guided step by step, taxes are handled automatically, and the customer support is phenomenal. It saves time, reduces errors, and gives peace of mind, especially for a small business without a dedicated payroll or HR team.

Cons

Some features and resources can be difficult to find, especially for users without full HR permissions, and certain tools (like handbook customization or compliance-related content) could be clearer and easier to understand. More guidance and flexibility in these areas would improve the overall experience.

### "Great service. No complaints. "

June 29, 2026

5.0

Pros

I loved how easy it is to use RUN Powered by ADP whenever I do payroll. I use it in a browser when on my computer, and also the iOS app on my phone. The few times I've had questions, they are quick to answer and provide all of the info I need. I log in using an admin email and have given each of my employees access through their own so they can get their payroll info and forms.

Cons

I don't have any issues with RUN Powered by ADP. Its usage is great. The only thing that could be improved is the pricing. While it isn't the most expensive option, there are a few others out there that are cheaper.
