Running payroll is fast. Setting up new employees is streamless. Pros Customer support has been amazing, especally the Chat option. It is quick, easy and they always are able to help e with my question, concern, or issue. December 16, 2025 5.0 Pros quick, easy login to run payroll- customer support always prompt in communications files to import report to quick books are auto generated, easy download and import process. Cons weekly payroll email reminders are sent too early for our particular payroll run. i.e.- email reminder comes in previous Sunday and we run payroll on Thursday. Day before would be desirable. Holiday pay schedule can become confusing- depending on employee banks. September 4, 2025 5.0 It was super easy to set up, one of the ADP reps helped set everything up, and then trained me on how to do everything. If I ever have questions, I can just call or email her and she answers my questions right away. Pros Easy to use, they have great customer service when you need them. The site is customizable as well. Cons Its really hard to tell how many hours a person has for vacation unless you go into their profile. Also, it won't allow me to take 40 hours vacation for one week. I have to do 39 hours vacation, 1 hour pay and then I have to adjust it. Review Source HF Hollyn F. My representative has always been easy to reach as well as being proactive. Pros We have found RUN very easy to use compared to previous systems. My rep made has helped with any issues. Cons I have not experienced an issue yet. However if I had I am confident my rep would help with any questions as he makes multiple check-ins. Pros Simple and lightweight application that does the job for a small business. Better than a spreadsheet! Cons Nothing especially bad about RUN, but for a growing business it quickly becomes too basic above about 45 people. Switched from [Microsoft Excel](https://www.capterra.com/p/176574/Excel/) Compliance and reporting, and also when we had more than 20 employees, Excel couldn't keep track of them all easily, so it became necessary to upgrade. Cons I didn’t like having to pay for it, as I don’t like having to pay for anything. Pros Run by ADP is a great solution for paying your employees. It is setup in a way that is streamlined and makes the process fast and efficient. Additionally, the customer support is top notch. You can reach a customer service specialist through the chat within minutes, and they will walk through with of you to resolve any issue or help you may need. Cons I would like to have a more robust data saved to the employee profile in order to run more reporting metrics on employees. Review Source ER Emily R. The salesperson that signed us up was very thorough and followed up on the first 2 payrolls we ran. The cost was significantly lower than the company we previously used. Pros It suited our Accountants needs. Easy platform to become accustomed to. It is a much more cost effective solution to simple payrolls. Presumably we are going to receive some from months as well. Cons Immediate barrage of extra services being proffered. We just need a simple, easy to use platform for a small company. We do not need 401K and Health Savings plans. Easy enough to ignore the emails. Learning a new system never something you want to do but that was easy. I thought that I would have been way too small for them to care about. That hasn't been the case, at ALL. The initial sales process that I went through with my rep was pleasant. Onboarding was easy and thorough. Support, which I've needed very, very rarely has been truly awesome. Pros Super easy and intuitive to use. SIMPLE. Once you load your employee names into the system, every 2 weeks you can step through the process quickly and easily to complete payroll. Love it. Cons There's really not much that I don't like about RUN by ADP. I'm honestly hard-pressed to think of anything that I don't like... Review Source BS Becky S. " February 9, 2026 4.0 Overall, they were great to work with. They were attentive and helped me through everything I needed. Even though it did not work for my specific type of pay (Truck drivers), I can tell it was a good company. Only bad part is waiting for my refund. Pros \[sensitive content hidden\] , who helped me set up, was a great asset. The other part I loved was the reporting. It was very straightforward and useful. Cons I wish there were more customization in the pay types. I needed more than just a couple reimbursements. The first payroll did not go as smoothly as I hoped with payroll withdrawal. I had to wire, which I was told to send 'x' amount, which ended up being wrong. I have been waiting for a refund since (one month later). She was super nice and helpful. No complaints! Pros Extraordinarly value, customer service, ease of use, and implemen tation. The team does an amazing job of teaching you how to setup everything. Furthermore, there is the ability to access it all on your phone, which is awesome. This swap should save our company money. Pros Number one thing is I have someone to call for help. The customer support is great. Rachel has made the transition to APD easy. Also APD has been more cost effective than paying my current CPA to do the little things. Cons For me personally the tax paying part could use a little more clarity. A few features have been kind of hard to find. Not as easy to correct a mistake as compared to previous payroll service. There was a time when it was hard to get a person on the phone but that has improved. Pros Run is easy to use and can input payroll very quickly. I like all the reports that are offered.
