Highly recommend ADP. I've gotten my brother's company using them and have referred them to others in my city and community as well. It seems like many employees have worked for companies that use them at this point as well, so there's a lot of familiarity with how to navigate their systems. And all of that scale hasn't translated into a major increase in price which we really appreciate as a small business.

Pros

The ability to run scheduling, with time tracking, for my team that I can automatically pull into payroll. The primary reason we switched over to RUN by ADP was for compliance purposes. When payroll runs being able to easily track sick time, vacation time, worker's comp, and retirement with a few clicks has saved our company hours of work each week at a great price.

Cons

There are a few systems and communication pieces that our employees receive that sound a bit more corporate than our companies typical communication that I wish I could edit.

Overall a good experience, easy to get in touch with someone to fix issues or ask questions, because you will have technical questions from time to time.

Pros

The ease of submitting time tracking and payroll. It is also good for PTO tracking and submitting. There is a feature for employees to clock in based on geo tracking

Can be confusing/frustrating if there is an issue, typically need to initiate a chat if time cannot be submitted as it does not tell you what the specific error is,

I dont remember the name of the other local place but chose ADP because it is a known company and I had hesitation to use a smaller company in case they failed to thrive. Didnt want the headache of changing payroll companies due to a company shutting down.

Our overall experience did not meet expectations, particularly given the critical nature of payroll. Communication was often reactive rather than proactive, which made managing employee expectations difficult when issues arose. There was also misalignment between sales and support teams regarding included services, resulting in avoidable follow-up and delays. Organizations that require highly reliable payroll execution, fast resolution, and proactive support should carefully evaluate whether ADP meets those needs. In general, the RUN and Timekeeping Plus products are limited compared to our prior provider.

Pros

ADP is a well-established provider with a broad payroll and HR offering. The Chat icon is one of the best futures of RUN. Using this chat feature, I was able to complete my second payroll with ADP without any assistance or guidance from the Implementation Team.

Cons

Payroll reliability and service responsiveness were ongoing concerns. We experienced payroll funding timing issues despite submitting everything accurately and on time, along with inconsistent guidance from different departments. Customer support often involved long hold times, unreturned messages, and unclear ownership for time-sensitive issues. Additionally, the platform lacked functionality we previously had with another provider, including more flexible reporting, document management with e-signature, seamless data integrations, and timekeeping controls and administrative visibility are limited.

For over 5 years ADP Payroll Service has taken care of all my company's payroll needs without any issues. They are always available if I have any questions or concerns. All of my reports have been correctly filed and paid on time. It's been a true pleasure to work with the ADP team!

Pros

I've been using ADP Payroll services for several years now and I love that their customer service reps are so helpful and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to solve my issue on the first phone call, although, I must say I really don't have too many issues with them, it's usually something on my employee's side. Their pricing for their service is extremely reasonable compared to other companies. Processing my weekly payroll each week couldn't be easier. The process implementation steps are easy to follow. Their website is so user friendly. Their website interface makes it simple for you to navigate your account online but customer service is available 24/7 if you need them. There's no expensive software I needed to buy like some other payroll services, I just had to start an account with ADP so that was a plus for me. They inform me of any payroll deduction changes, (like Paid Leave) or tax changes that may be coming in the future right away so I can be prepared and, if necessary, notify my employees.

Cons

I don't really have any at this time. I've worked with ADP Payroll Service for over 5 years now and haven't had any real issues to speak of. The only time I did have issues, it was because my employee changed banks and didn't notify HR and their direct deposit got messed up and ADP solved that issue in 1 phone call and got my employee paid.

The product has perform well servicing my small business payroll need. I have not had any issues completing my payroll task. Overall, it is very well-rounded product.

Pros

The product is easy to use and implement when a small business decides to use it for their payroll needs. It provides plenty of features that meet all of our small business needs and it the ability to scale up as the business grows. The price seems reasonable although we are not fan of subscription-based services. The support is great and has always been able to resolve my issues or guide to any questions I might have.

Cons

I really do not have any negative issues about RUN. The product has performed as expected, if not even better. If I had to choose something, even though it might fell cliched, it would be the pricing.

I have had pleasant interactions from the beginning with ADP representatives. When we were initially getting it set up, the woman who essentially trained me was above and beyond my expectations for kindness, and knowledgeability. Since then, ADP has been there at 3am on a Thursday when I forgot to run payroll to help make sure my employees still get paid by Friday, they've provided compliance trainings and posters for my employees to make sure we're operating within state mandates and requirements, and they have allowed me to streamline my payroll processes and make them more efficient with the convince of generating specific and recurring reports. There are still many features I haven't integrated into my business' daily uses but I am excited to continue introducing them and making things even more efficient with ADP.

Pros

I love the convenience of access for myself and my employees. The way they can make their paystubs and W-2's electronic, while also viewing their weekly payroll information all from their phone is a game changer. The ability to have my weekly payroll summary reports automatically download has also streamlined our bookkeeping process as well! Furthermore, I have found myself calling customer support when I've either made a payroll mistake on my end or am seeing something I don't understand and their comprehensive availability hours have been so helpful.

Cons

The fees to run payroll are definitely more expensive than the previous service provider we used, however the benefits are substantially more. It is definitely a cost we have to budget for now, but I would say it's well worth it for the benefits we receive and the information/assistance we have available to us at all times.

It is a solid value for any business owner who wants to focus on growth rather than paperwork.

Pros

The biggest selling point for me is the Ease of Use. The platform is incredibly intuitive, meaning I can run payroll in just a few clicks without needing a degree in accounting. The Time Tracking and Attendance integration is seamless. My employees can clock in and out easily, and that data flows directly into the payroll system without me having to manually enter hours, which eliminates so many human errors. Whenever I have hit a snag, the Customer Support team has been exceptional. They are knowledgeable and patient, walking me through issues until they are completely resolved.

Cons

While I believe it offers great value, the cost can creep up if you have a lot of employees, so you have to really evaluate the Value for Money for your specific size. Overall it has been a good transition that we made a few years ago. I am constantly working within it and find its ease of use one of its biggest features.

Pros

I like that it is user friendly, straight-forward, and any time I have needed help from customer service, its always been informative and staff members are always top notch.

Cons

I would love to see more specificity in some of the reports (being able calculate specific fica deductions) and I wish there scheduling software better met the needs of our practice so we could utilize it all. Sometimes the app is glitchy. This is me being picky though, it does really well overall.

Overall, I'm very happy with it. It's been easy to use and a lot of communication, which is important to me.

Pros

It's very easy to use as the employer and employee. I like that I have a lot of control over things and pretty easy communication with any help I need. Every customer service rep is very helpful. Most of all, I love my rep - \[sensitive content hidden\]

Cons

ZipRecruiter doesn't get a ton of applicants. The pay structure doesn't work for sales companies very well - I have to onboard people as salary or hourly, even though they're not paid that way. This shows up on their check stub, which can be an issue. I also get really frustrated with the message that pops up every time I enter pay asking if I meant to pay the person that amount. It takes extra time and messes up the flow of entering payroll. I find the 401k website difficult to navigate and manage. It feels outdated, I can't usually find what I need.

### "ADP is truly one stop shopping! "

I have everything in one place- payroll, training, time and attendance, pay as you go WC insurance, tax filings, onboarding and off boarding.

Pros

I have used several different payroll solutions in the past. RUN is by far the easiest to implement and saves me so much time on my HR responsibilities. Customer service is also by far the best I have ever experienced; this is why I left my last provider. Everything is in one place and very intuitive. I love the notifications I get when my hourly employees have not clocked back in from either a break at the end of the shift. Report packages are already defined, although you can certainly choose what you want to see. This makes completing an audit a breeze.

Cons

My only complaint is on the timekeeping which does not allow me to define what a workday is. This is legally allowed in CA. When I sued the time and attendance system, I could define the workday as a 24 hour period starting at 12AM and ending at 1159PM. RUN does not allow this and merges hours together if there is less than 5 hours between any clock in and clock out. So far, I have had a positive experience. Most issues that we had while setting it up were resolved quickly.

Pros

I really Loved the ease of use, mobile access, and how simple it made payroll processing. Payroll was the biggest bonus for me.

Cons

I had some concerns while setting up our PTO and Sick Leave. I wasn't quite sure how to set it up, but I was able to get customer service to help me out.

It has been wonderful knowing that my taxes are handled and paid in a timely manner and my employees can be certain their pay is correct

Pros

Ease of use and very user friendly. Love that I can train people to use the product without them having lots of payroll knowledge and can make give different users different access

Cons

Sometimes it can be difficult to change things without having to involve customer service but really no major cons

### "ADP is worth every penny"

I switched to ADP about 25 years ago and now have used it while working for 3 different companies. I highly recommend ADP.

Pros

I love that the value for the money is excellent and I can always speak to a real human being should I need assistance. ADP is on top of their game. I make use of creating my own reports and I am always happy I can filter to get exactly the information I need.

Cons

My particular system has a search engine that ADP does not prefer which causes me to refresh my page in order to print out the information I seek.

Our overall experience has been A+. We believe it saves us hours and hours of time by generating payroll, educating us on new laws and trends, producing needed reports for tax purposes and other government programs that the cost is well worth it. Very good value for cost.

Pros

Run Powered by ADP's customer service is outstanding allowing me to call with questions 24/7. I always get a real person to help me. A chat feature is available but I prefer the former. The website is easy to use and navigate with needed tax report available on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis. ADP offers great webinars on current trends in law and business practices. One can watch live or later on a recorded copy of the webinar.

Cons

During very busy times, there can be a long wait to get to a customer service representative. Once the rep comes on-line, all questions are answered with patience in a clear and patient manner.

ADP was the most impressive company we looked into in terms of service and the variety of reports and features offered. Switching over to ADP Run Pwr by ADP has saved us a lot of time processing payroll. Plus, support is very good !

Pros

User friendly ! I find it easy to naviagate the website. Being able to start payroll and at times having to stop, then restart is easy.

Cons

I have NO complaints ... I really have no complaints, sometimes waiting on hold ia little long. However, once I connect with support they are good at assisting me.

I've been with ADP for almost a decade and so far no major issues have arisen, and minor problems are resolved quickly. It was easy to set up and little tweaks and improvements keep making it better.

Pros

Run is easy to use and seldom has bugs or issues. ADP support is always there to help me if I get stuck or find an undocumented feature. While the price is high, I simply don't have the common issues my friends seem to experience using other systems for payroll.

Cons

While I'm not impressed with the cost, the adage time is money probably applies well. There are much cheaper options, but the positive reviews are just not there.

### "Reentry of Employees "

The system is pretty straightforward. Again, the only issue is transferring employees (which have to be manually reentered).

Pros

The software is innovative in that it has a plethora of data and information easily accessible (most of the time). Any issues are resolved quickly.

Cons

The transfer of employees is somewhat mundane in nature, being that they have to be reentered manually. This heightens the likelihood of errors.
