### "First class customer service! Second class technology"

Overall, if it weren't for \[sensitive content hidden\] - I would have been very frustrated. They represent first class customer service that really gives your company a solid reputation.

Pros

Customer service is top notch! Namely \[sensitive content hidden\] patience and commitment to my needs. \[sensitive content hidden\] walked me through every step of the entire onboarding process and helped me ensure our information was correctly entered for compliance. He was very patient, calm, and resourceful throughout the process. \[sensitive content hidden\] also made himself available at many short notice times, and after-hours via text message. Very helpful for a business owner/entrepreneur to have this service!

Cons

Your software should only allow compliant transactions, and dis-allow non compliant ones. I experienced the opposite of that. In a situation where we were setting up a new company to finish out 2025 payroll (prior company that we also own used to run the payroll, and thus wages from earlier in the year were stored there) - your system would not allow us to contribute i401K from personal (non employer paid) funds (the compliant way to do it, considering we were maxing out limits. The work-around required us to break IRS rules and have the employer contribute it, without payroll taxes being paid. This then had to be voided on the back-end by \[sensitive content hidden\] to re-classify the contribution from employer to employee, and then run another payroll just to cover the payroll taxes. This could have not only got me in a lot of trouble for doing it out of compliance initially, (which was the only way your system allowed) - it certainly resulted in a lot of extra overhead costs for ADP to need to correct the situation on the back-end - and my time as well.

satisfied with ease of use, and responsiveness of customer service staff, also we love all the additional service options such as HR, and compliance monitoring

Pros

Customer support is very responsive, kind and knowledgeable about the product. Payroll is easy to run, and access for my employees to update their own information is superior to previous programs I have used. Overall would recommend the ADP payroll/RUN system. I do have a couple complaints regarding customization of alerts, and inputting time off for employees - but they have given me work arounds while they see if the programing can be updated.

Cons

I can't customize meal break times, which causes daily alerts that are unneeded. I can't input call offs on the timecard, I have to do at payroll processing or through PTO request screen.

### "ADP Run review"

ADP makes running payroll, adding new employees, terminating employees, 401K, all easier for me. it is all in one place and easy to pull data up.

Pros

The employees clock in and out, it tracks where they do this and uploads the hours to make running payroll easier.

Cons

Handling prevailing wages, I am manually changing the payroll hours to different rates to pay regular/OT and prevailing wages

pretty good. Manual data entry just because the integration between my POS (Square) and ADP is too expensive for my size of business. other than that, it works great. I also really appreciate the employee handbook service and keeping it up to date with the constant developments in California..

Pros

ensuring that everything is correctly calculated in terms of witholding and official form submissions

Cons

It is significantly more expensive than other payroll solutions, but at least I feel like I'm getting value for that (mainly in the HR space with the Handbook)

Overall, using RUN has been a positive experience. RUN has all of the essential HR and Payroll tools that we need to run our business. The application always functions properly and the support team is always ready to help promptly when I have questions or inquiries.

Pros

RUN is a very user-friendly platform. Additionally, the ADP team continues to make upgrades and constantly works to maintain and improve its functionality. This make it more efficient to use RUN for our HR and Payroll needs so we have more time to focus on big picture initiatives.

Cons

Sometimes when changing the rate of pay for an employee, you have to do it in the system at a certain time, depending on when the payroll is run. That factor could maybe be more automated.

Excellent, when i first got the application, it was super easy to navigate and I will admit I was nervous but everything went smoothly and I never have any issues.

Pros

This is possibly the easiest app I've used, easy to navigate, easy to get support, and if I ever have any questions ADP is quick to respond. Love it Thanks guys keep up the awesome work!!

Cons

Sometimes the reports confuse me but I'm sure if I ever needed more assistance I could just reach out. I tried to create a report for a specific 1099 and had to get the entire list but I'm sure it was operator error and not something to do with the app itself. I completed what was needed but not in the way I thought it would work. What I wanted was a 1099 for a specific tech but instead I got the full list I just haven't figured that part out yet, but it was one day and 1 report that was needed and I figured out a different way to get what I needed anyway. the tech lost his 1099 for 2025 and wanted me to send him another one so I tried to get his specifically but had difficulty figuring it out what I ended up doing was download the full report then used the snip it tool to screenshot.

We have been with RUN Powered by ADP since 2016. We havent looked back. The product and team are exceptional! There's not much this company cannot deliver!

Pros

ADP is a great value for small business. The products and support save you time and ensure payroll, workers comp, benefits deductions, PTO, PLAWA, ERISA are done correctly. The ease of use and employee app are invalueable. It creates trust and transparency with payroll and the staff can administer changes to their deductions, personal information and direct deposits. Not having to complete audits for workers comp - priceless! I highly recommend the HR component - having the ability to reach out to qualified answers is such a life saver and is so cost effective. The ability to generate handbooks changed the way we produced them - saving us time and money versus having our employment attorney render a very expensive compliation that was not as convenient as the ADP RUN. No cumbersome printed books - every staff member has immediate access to our handbook through the employee App.

Cons

The team is so eager to provide you with solutions far beyond just running payroll and can cross wires at times with multiple reaches to clients.

The experience that I have had with RUN Solutions has been fantastic. If I have ever had any problems I would put in a service ticket and the issues are resolved quickly and a client representative will let me know my issue is resolved quickly and professionally.

Pros

I like RUN as it was tailored to what the company needed for payroll. With a full service PEO we were spending so much money and not utilizing even a 3rd of the services that we quite frankly didn't need.

Cons

I don't really think I have a CON with RUN the set up was easy and running our payroll bi-weekly is so easy and not a dreaded chore.

### "Great platform that makes payroll processing a breeze!"

We added payroll as a service to our clients in 2009 using the RUN platform and honestly it's been great. Client's love how easy it is to run payroll and that ADP takes care of all the tax deposits along with the quarterly and annual filings. Have many clients setup using the Run & Done feature so we don't even have to worry about missing a payroll as it's automatically run for them each pay period.

Pros

Program is easy to use, can run payroll from anywhere in the world, support is great when you have an issue, clients use the time and attendance which they love, price is very affordable, no issues with the program and it's extremely user friendly.

Cons

Constant changes that don't seem necessary at times. Getting through to our dedicated rep isn't always easy either when we need something which can be frustrating when it's time sensitive.

Our primary use of RUN Powered by ADP is the payroll feature which I have been very happy with overall. It is simple and offers many situational columns that were a relief to be reduced to a simple numerical input rather than having to do manual calculations.

Pros

RUN Powered by ADP helps make payroll processing simple with easy-to-input fields for pay hours, deductions and custom fields. Customer services is always available to fix any issues. Not many bugs found on the platform thus far. Employees are easily uploaded and adjustable. I appreciate having the support to change our completed financial information if need be.

Cons

A lot of services require payment per payroll period regardless of service amount used. I do wish there were additional custom deductions available rather than a limited amount. Sometimes employees have trouble accessing their account after the initial invite has been sent. I have needed to help employees through the process on a few occasions.

Generally I'm very happy with the platform and the performance. It provides all the tools I need to meet my payroll and HR needs.

Pros

Easy to navigate and use. The platform provides all the tools I need to manage payroll, policy, taxes, reporting new hires and employees.

Cons

It's not necessarily Run more ADP. I am constantly receiving solicitation emails form ADP to sign up for the various services they provide. For instance I get emails about my company participating in the ADP retirement plan, which we already do participate in.

Pros

One of the best features in RUN is CareerPlug, it's helped the implementation process for new employees run so smoothly. Plus, given us very qualified applicants.

Cons

An issue that we least like is the system difference and having to manage Paid Time Off and Paid Sick Time between RUN and Time & Attendance.

In addition, if I ever run into a problem, their customer service is excellent and always able to walk me through anything quickly and clearly. Overall, it has been a reliable and supportive tool that makes payroll much less stressful.

Pros

The RUN platform has been incredibly easy to use and has made payroll so much more manageable. I really appreciate how convenient it is to access and complete payroll on my own schedule, which is especially helpful during busy weeks. The platform is clear, efficient, and takes a lot of the stress out of payroll processing. It has truly made this part of my job easier and more flexible.

Cons

I truly can’t think of anything I dislike about the RUN platform. It has been a very positive experience from start to finish. The platform is simple to use, dependable, and makes payroll easy to manage.

We've had three payroll companies within the past 6 years and ADP has been the best in my opinion! We are able to essentially run and control our own payroll and I love the convenience! I've done payroll in Barbados!

Pros

Convenient and easy to use. Customer support is great, long wait times during peak hours/holidays. Employees are able to easily access their payroll account via the app. Great value for all the features and accessibility for employees and employers!

Cons

Setting up tax jurisdictions when onboarding. We are unable to add jurisdictions. Our employees do not work in our home office, they actually work in the community in clients homes and do not necessarily live within our jurisdiction either.

I came from Paychex and hated it. When I moved to ADP my rep help me through the change and made my life much easier. I would highly recommend ADP for any small business for their Payroll needs.

Pros

The ease of our bi Monthly payroll. Working with My ADP rep has made my life so much easier. If I have any questions he is always there to help.

I really have not had any issues that I could not make a phone call to my account rep and get it fixed immediately.

We ended up leaving Run to go with another Payroll/HR vendor due to the extreme problems with local taxes being paid in the right amounts and to the right entities. They did it correctly the first quarter, then never got it right until after we had switched vendors.

Pros

Setting up our Run was very straight forward and simple to use. It was easy to run payroll and manage data.

Cons

While the normal transactions and interactions inside of Run were very good. The consistency of paying local taxes was a struggle.

Overall my company has had a positive experience with RUN. I especially appreciate the responsive customer service. The system is easy to use and has a lot of features!

Pros

It's easy to use overall. Onboarding new employees is a breeze. If you need help, customer service is easy to reach and works quickly to resolve any issues. The integrated timekeeping system is helpful. There are so many different types of reports you can run, you're sure to find just the report you need.

Cons

The timekeeping system was a little complicated to set up - adding all the different jobs. Occasionally that system will give me errors and I'll have to refresh it.

Very good. I've also used the HR component to help with my company policy and various HR forms. Customer Service has been excellent.

Pros

How easy it is to use. The timecard applicatoin for my employee, and the reports that are available after each payperiod.

Cons

Difficult to calculate various pay schedules from the timecards (Hours to decimal). I keep a spreadsheet handy to help with those calculations.

### "Unhappy new business owner"

Overall, I am unhappy and I am currently searching for another non-ADP product. Last time I had a scheduled call for the employee training information, the salesperson (who claimed to be my POC) no showed the scheduled meeting. I emailed to ask what happened and never got an answer.

Pros

They cover a number of HR responsibilities all in one place. This is really handy as a new small business operator.

Cons

The never-ending sales calls and the lack of one assigned support person. Every salesperson claims they are my POC. What they mean is they are wanting to sell me another ala carte product, and they are the POC for that product and unable to help me with the original product I purchased.

Its been okay, things at times have been difcult and times have been easy. I would recommend ADP to others. The best part is they handle all the transition.

Pros

I was 2weeks post partom and my previous payroll company "fired me" they had been having many issues with processing, failing to pay overtime correctly and direct deposits delayed. I was FREAKING out! As I used them for years and they were so cheap!!! But you pay for what you get I supose! However ADP changed my mind on that as it is very reasonal priced and a great product!!!! When I changed over to ADP my onboarding team was very friendly and got everything rolling! I was able to let the perv company know I was DONE with them that day and ran my payroll with ADP with in a day!!!! I was so greatful!!

Cons

Doesnt track if staff makes minimum wage. And doesnt track minimum wage changes by county/city/state.

It has been great and keeps going on the right direction I can not wait where they will offer next that will make our process even more easy.

Pros

The user friendly experience as well as the customer service support that has been top notch since day one, the software has been updating over the years which is great.

Cons

The real "problem" would be that sometimes they do not debit our account right away for taxes which I get is not bad but our bookkeepers do not like.

Overall I am satisfied with the system and the support. I am glad we switched to RUN from our prior system. I will say processing payroll even with the more manual tasks is still quicker and easier with Run.

Pros

Run is easy to use and navigate the different areas. Our employees have mentioned that it is easier to navigate than our last system and the system is pleasing to the eyes. The cost is reasonable. The system is compliant with the laws so you don't have to worry about missing anything and gives alerts as too changes coming. Customer support is good and has been able to answer most of my questions when I need to call.

Cons

There are functions that my previous system could do that RUN cannot. The compliance of the system is both a pro and a con. It is to the minimum of what the law states and no room to change the system if you go above and beyond. There is limited customization. It runs smoothly for the employee and for administration it can get complicated for each system is a different entity. Many times you call the customer service number and need to be transferred to a different department. Also there are more manual steps I need to take compared to previous systems, though still quicker to process payroll.
