### "ADP for the smallest of businesses!"

April 25, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with ADP has been outstanding and when I work with them on issues or have questions, they are right there for me. I never feel I am alone in my payroll because I have ADP and their team of professionals.

Pros

I am a very small business, but ADP treats me just as if I was a big business. The customer support is outstanding and learning the payroll system was so much easier than the other system I had been using. The value in my time saved has been incredible.

Cons

Nothing. I couldn't ask for a better and more efficient system. Also, if I make a mistake ADP is right there for me. They help me understand the details, fix it, and tell me to have a great day after we have worked together.

I love that it reminds me when to run payroll for my company. I can run it from my computer, ipad and even my iphone.

Pros

as really the only employee of my company ADP is an easy way for me to run my own payroll. I get fast and easy customer support. It's easy to make changes and updates to my payroll.

Cons

Some things I don't understand by my bookkeeper helps me on those items! I really don't have many complaints.

### "Simplifying Cumbersome Work"

December 16, 2025

5.0

It has been a great experience and simplifies payroll when you have a busy schedule. Having easy access to documents when they're requested by a CPA is very helpful.

Pros

Knowing I have professionals to answer questions about Human Resources and payroll allows me to focus on the parts of my business that generate revenue.

Cons

I wish I had more immediate access to amending paid time off plans without having to speak with a representative.

### "Makes Payroll Way Less Stressful"

February 24, 2026

5.0

My overall experience with RUN ADP has been really solid. Once you learn where everything lives, it makes payroll pretty simple. I like that it handles all the tax stuff automatically, so I don’t have to worry about missing anything. Running payroll, recording manual checks, and making adjustments is pretty straightforward, and the system keeps everything organized. Some parts can feel a little slow or hidden behind extra clicks, but overall, it gets the job done and keeps payroll clean and accurate.

Pros

super easy to use once you get the hang of it. Payroll is quick, everything is laid out clearly, and it handles taxes and filings automatically, so I don’t have to stress about missing anything. I like that I can record manual checks, make adjustments, and run payroll from anywhere. It keeps everything organized and clean.

Cons

Sometimes the system feels a little slow or clunky, and certain features are hidden behind too many clicks. A few things aren’t super intuitive at first, especially when you’re dealing with terminations or manual checks. But once you learn where everything is, it’s fine.

### "Long Term Customer"

January 29, 2026

5.0

Overall, ADP has been a beneficial service for my business. My employees also seem to appreciate the ease of use.

Pros

I have used this for several years, and I most appreciate the customer support. I also find running payroll a fairly easy process. If in the event of a mistake, ADP is available to help make any corrections I need.

Cons

I wish the onboarding process for employee paperwork was a little clearer. ADP seems to be making upgrades with this, but it doesn't look like I can go back and have my other employees complete the online paperwork like my new hires now can. I also want to note that I believe the HR plan was too expensive for the lack of added benefits.

Great! It may have it's hicups from time to time. But for the most part very efficient with timekeeping, health, and 401k

### "Reliable Payroll Platform for Small Businesses but Setup Could Be Simpler"

March 12, 2026

5.0

Overall, RUN Powered by ADP is a solid payroll solution for small to medium-sized businesses. It provides reliable payroll processing, good record management, and a user-friendly interface once everything is configured. However, the onboarding and setup process could be improved to make it easier for new users.

Pros

RUN Powered by ADP is very easy to use once everything is properly set up. The interface is clean and intuitive, which makes running payroll, reviewing employee information, and generating reports fairly straightforward. For small businesses, it helps simplify payroll processing and tax calculations, which saves a lot of time compared to doing everything manually.

Cons

The process implementation and initial setup can be somewhat confusing, especially for small business owners who are setting up payroll systems for the first time. Some steps in the onboarding process require contacting support or navigating multiple menus, which can slow things down.

### "over all review"

April 3, 2026

5.0

My overall experience using RUN by ADP has been very positive. The platform is intuitive and has made managing payroll and HR tasks much simpler and more efficient. I especially appreciate how reliable and accurate the system is, as well as the peace of mind it provides when it comes to tax compliance and employee management. I find the service to be a bit on the expensive side, for a small business with 2 employees.

Pros

The platform is generally user-friendly, with intuitive navigation and clear options for payroll, HR, and benefits management.

Cons

I find ADP’s pricing to be higher than alternative solutions, especially for smaller businesses with only 2 active employees.

### "RUN to ADP, it'll change your perceptive of Payroll. "

May 15, 2025

5.0

Overall RUN is by far the best payroll service for small businesses. It's a pay per employee model, so costs can quickly increase compared to other services, but the technology, both employee and employer, is much better than what other providers offer. It's designed for simple payrolls, with minimum complexity, but can handle some complicated payrolls. In those cases, we worked with our Rep to handle the intricacies and the employee files were updated and ready to go in ADP from our previous software.

Pros

Run Payroll is the standard for small business payrolls, and is incredibly easy for anyone to run payroll, even from their mobile device. It's incredibly easy to add new employees to the RUN System, and their onboarding experience is a great first impression. What is by far the best experience is the short term notice needed to run Payroll. This is incredibly helpful for cash flow purposes. In some cases we can run payroll the day before and still guarantee payment .

Cons

It's not perfect for complex payrolls. There's only been one occasion in my experience where they had made a mistake in how a garnishment should be calculated, but a quick call with customer service straightened it out. They needed to fix the situation in their backend, and I was unable to within the platform. Outside of that inconvenience, it's been incredibly easy.

### "Why I Chose RUN by ADP"

September 2, 2025

5.0

When I started with ADP, I was a solopreneur. Now that I'm ready to bring on staff they have made very easy. The employee handbook wizard is a huge time saver.

Pros

ADP has extremely knowledgeable support staff willing to provide assistance when needed. When exploring payroll providers, I discovered that the ability to speak with a live rep is nearly impossibe. Why would a business pay for a premium subscription only to receive an email response in 2-3 days? ADP offers all of its clients onboarding assistance and once you're up and running you can always reach a live representative with questions. Clients are continually educated about policy changes and trends via ADP webinars and newsletter. ADP clients are always in-the-know about keys issues. As we grow ADP will be able to keep pace and provide the additional benefits we need to include.

Cons

Off-shore reps should be better trained. I wish clients could hide unneeded columns/fields when not being used. Color-coding related items would also be helpful.

Reason for choosing RUN Powered by ADP

The responsiveness of the sales agent as well as the bundles that were offered. It was easier to know and understand the pricing scheme. As stated earlier, the ability to have contact with a live rep was a major decided factor.

### "Easy to Navigate"

January 27, 2026

5.0

Great experience overall. Besides the problems with tracking PTO and the interface for the customize report page, I do find this platform easy to navigate and work.

Pros

I like using ADP Run because the platform is easy to navigate and very user friendly. The interface is clean and intuitive, which makes it easy to train others to use it as well. The help chat is reliable, and I really like the co browsing feature since it allows the reps to walk through things with me whenever I need support.

Cons

What I like the least is the PTO time tracking options, as they are not very flexible and make it harder to track PTO the way our team needs. I also find the custom reporting page difficult to navigate and not very user friendly, which makes creating or adjusting reports more time consuming than it should be. I also do not like the price of the product; it's too high and should be decreased.

### "Still needs improvement but easy to use"

March 4, 2026

4.0

Usually pretty easy to navigate. Sometimes all the reports are a little much to navigate through but yet still thorough.

Pros

Run offers the convenience of the phone App when I'm not in the office. Great for times when I'm on vacation or just out of the office on Payday.

Cons

Not able to see the fees I paid for the year. That would be great feature to add to a year end summary.

### "Jump into Run Powered by ADP -- I did 15 years ago and it's been great!"

January 27, 2026

4.0

Pros

I like how easy it is to log in, employees can update their own info alleviating my liability for accuracy. I've been using Run by ADP for almost 15 years and I've never had an issue! Jump in and use ADP -- other sources I've tried weren't nearly as helpful or easy. Chat function is helpful as well as getting a real person on the line!

Cons

I haven't had any issues. I don't know why this requires to have 100 characters -- if there are no issues, there's no issue.

Have been using it for a few years now and overall it saves me time and money. i love how you are always growing and learning what you customers need. I like that employees can see their info and hours on their app.

Pros

I love the time it saves me in doing payroll. I use to spend hours processing payroll and now it might take me 30 mins.

Cons

### "HUGE VALUE"

September 2, 2025

5.0

Overall I enjoy using the software and it makes my HR duties so much easier. Payroll is a breeze when updating employee deductions, adding bonuses or checking paid time off balances.

Pros

ADP is easy to use, pull reports and retrieve specific data especially when it is time for an audit. The software manages this for you so you don’t have to. I do not have to over concern myself with tax obligations because I know it is already taken care of with RUN.

Cons

Still learning as I only recently took over this task from my bookkeeper ; I was frustrated at first but the learning curve is steep.

Pros

Cons

Difficult to figure out how much PTO is left for final paycheck payouts, or How much staff has remaining when I’m running payroll. I have to back out of the screen and check their employee profile, and even then it isn’t clear

March 12, 2026

1.0

I have had a very difficult time managing this product on my own while running my small business. I can't keep up with all of the requirements that an HR department would.

Pros

Workers comp flows nicely and it's used by most accountants and book keepers. I like that our financial planner can easily access the retirement funds and can help us manage that portion of our employee benefits package.

Cons

The most challenging and least attractive thing about ADP is running reports. As a small business, I am literally HR and "contact your admin". When a health insurance rep asks me for quarterly reports- I have no idea how to do that. I also don't have time to work with the chat function or call. ADP is trying to be too many things.

### "Multi State Payroll Overview"

January 27, 2026

5.0

The “Small Business HR Trends 2026” presentation was very informative and easy to follow. The speaker was clear, confident, and made the material simple to understand. Overall, it provided useful insights and a smooth learning experience.

Pros

I really enjoyed the multi‑state overview because it gave a clear, organized picture of how each region operates and the key differences between them. It helped me understand the broader landscape while still staying focused on the details that matter. What I appreciated most, though, was the breakdown of the “big beautiful bill.” It simplified something that normally feels overwhelming and made it easy to follow step by step. The clarity, structure, and visual flow made the information not only understandable but actually engaging. Overall, it was informative, accessible, and genuinely enjoyable to hear.

Cons

Existing employment laws already cover unfair treatment, so adding hairstyle‑specific rules could seem unnecessary or overly complicated. There can also be concerns about how these laws are interpreted, potentially leading to disputes about what qualifies as a protected hairstyle under different circumstances.

### "Once I found someone that was willing to help, its all good."

February 6, 2026

3.0

I gave you 3 stars because of my answers above. Once I get moved on to a service person I hope things to get better.

Pros

My sales person was very knowledgable and available when I needed help to process my first two payrolls.

Cons

My implementation specialist was awful to work with. \[sensitive content hidden\] tried to rush through getting my account set up. He stated that he was pulled from something else to help me. He did not answer my questions in a manor that helped me to set up the payroll, stating "I don't know" for his answers to some of my questions. He would interupt me when I would ask specifics about the set up, and then I found out that he was incorrect in tellling me that it was set properly. The first payroll had to be cancelled because it double paid all of my staff. The second payroll had many errors in the set up. My staff's tips did not get paid, their deductions did not come out of their pay, the salaries were not correct. The second payroll then had to have funds verified which I was never told about, taking another day. My staff was paid late! In 20 years in business, I have never been late with my payroll. I asked for a new Implementation specialist, it was not granted and he still contacts me.
