We’ve had a great experience with our account representative, who has been consistently helpful and supportive. General customer service has been adequate but not exceptional, and the interface is functional yet fairly average in terms of ease of use. Pros Our account representative was incredibly helpful throughout the setup process. They were responsive, patient, and took the time to walk us through each step, answer questions, and make sure everything was configured correctly. Their support made the transition smooth and much less stressful. Cons The payroll entry feature itself can be frustrating to use. It’s not very intuitive, can feel glitchy at times, and isn’t as user-friendly as it could be, which makes payroll entry more time-consuming than necessary. Review Source MS Michelle S. December 22, 2025 4.0 Overall, I have been happy with RUN, most specifically the customer support I have received. The reason I’m not giving 5 stars is due to the time and attendance & payroll portion. Pros The customer support has been incredible during the implementation process. Our account manager, \[sensitive content hidden\] has been available to answer any and all questions we’ve had after the implementation process. For the most part ADP Run Is user friendly and I like that there are trainings available to help with questions. Department and job reporting has also been a useful tool for us. Cons The time tracking and attendance can be a little confusing at times. I have taken some of the training course, but I feel as though a lot of things have to be done manual which is very time consuming. In the beginning the payroll processing was fairly easy, but recently it has changed a little bit causing some confusion. I get approached by other payroll companies and I don't even think about switching. I process payroll weekly and have to run reports from time to time. It's super!! Pros The convenience of it. It's so user friendly. The reports are great!! The customer service is fantastic!! Cons I can't think of anything! Honestly, I've never had a bad experience with them. I have great experience with customer service and I have been offered great support when I have questions or concerns. Pros It is extremely user friendly. I can create custom reports easily. Importing time cards is simple. Also, deductions and garnishments is very user friendly. Cons ADP is a little expensive. Other than the cost of ADP I do not have any other cons to list. We are a non-profit organization and we are very budget focused so the price of ADP is often questioned in budget reviews. It has been a great integration for the type of work we do and has made my job as Finance Manager easier. I also have appreciated getting hands on support when needed. Pros I like that the interface is user friendly and for the most part makes doing day to day operations simple and fast. The teams are usually very responsive and have always got me through any trouble with ease. Cons Employeee access can be a little confusing for the user that is not an admin. Navigating finding balances seems to be the biggest issue. The interface for Accountants on online is so easy to use. Entering employee information is quite easy and you can allow the employee to enter their information; the employees love the app. Cons There are times when it can be difficult to locate the exact report I need. General Ledger call center is difficult to get a hold of on the phone. I find the services provided very adaptative and proactive to changes that affect our business. They were a lifeline during Covid and really helped us navigate through the confusion.. Pros Not only is it easy to use, I have one source to address all my my office needs. This includes payroll, human resources, medical insurance and our retirement plan. Cons There are multiple service managers assigned for each service of ADP that we utilize. Some of these managers are in a different time zone which limits their availability to solve issues in a timely fashion. It would be great if there was one contact that could address any concerns. During my experience with QuickBooks, they could not accommodate my industry, and I was sent to 3-4 people within customer service who could not fix the issue. Cons The only thing that would be considered a con is the wait time for general customer service. I called over the holidays, and the prompt said there were 735 people in line in front of me. September 16, 2025 4.0 Overall, our experience has been positive. The dedicated customer support reps and our implementation rep have been very attentive and responsive when we have had issues. Pros RUN is very easy to use and user intuitive. We run payroll weekly and I have been able to save lots of time. ADP is also very affordable compared to our last payroll vendor. Cons Although RUN boasts being able to integrate and map to accounting software, the GL feature is not fully developed. The wage liability is the only portion of our payroll that comes over to our accounting software properly. In our move to ADP, we did not find out until after we began processing our payrolls that the GL feature is not truly and fully supported by ADP and we lost that when we moved which was very disappointing. If having your payroll mapped to your accounting software is crucial to your business, I would not recommend using RUN. The GL support for RUN is incredibly limited. We lost functionality when we switched from Paychex which was disappointing and our GL has now turned into a weekly scavenger hunt for what RUN thinks it is sending through it's GL files to our accounting software. Pros Great payroll system for Small Businesses. I like that it integrates with the ADP Time Clock and that it offers add-on options. Fairly easy to learn, and I have had good experiences when support has been needed. Cons Some modules are not applicable to our business model, but that will be true of any software or SaaS service. Also if you call with issues, sometimes you get support staff whose first language is not English and it can at times be difficult to communicate. Also there have been a few times where the website has been down with no warning. If you need a simple product with basic tools for payroll, this is it. Pros I use a couple of different ADP payroll products for different businesses and Run is by far the best, most east to use for a small business like mine. And you cannot beat the value for what you get either. Cons You don't get all of the "bells and whistles" but I don't need them so it's not an issue. One issue I did have is an integration that should be standard took a little extra time but the team has been working to resolve it. We enjoy the support we need when we run into issues, and we also enjoy that the employees can access their payroll and paystubs and monitor their own pay. I recommend ADP RUN to any small business owners. Cons I occasionally have an off-cycle payroll that needs to be ran, and because of my lack of experience, this can be tricky, but ADP support always walks me through. Salesman sold me an outdated program with promises and nothing was delivered. If you get a chance go to another company ADP is not what they used to be. Pros The only thing that might work is the price but you can find better processors for same price or lower. Cons System is outdated. Customer service is really bad with wait times over an hour now. To get anything done is very time consuming. Onboarding is still slow and offline. Their online does not do anything. I highly recommend Run powered by ADP . I’m confident in the program and support staff and I’m sleeping great at night. Pros Customer service is outstanding . I was anxious when we started because it was a new project for me but thanks tothe RUN powered by ADP I have felt very comfortable and getting great sleep at night . The access and ease of use are amazing. I’m generally not very good historically with AP’s but the RUN powered by ADP has built my confidence up. I love that I can push payroll thru from my mobile phone. I used to spend a lot of time with the old way of doing payroll. RUN powered ADP has freed up more time to do other things. I have found the communication and process implementation to have run really smooth. The flow is nice and the organization is well thought out. I am very grateful for ADP powered RUN. It allows me the confidence to be able to focus on other parts of my job description. I would like to say I really feel like RUN powered by ADP has been a great value for the money. Reasonably priced and I love the customization to my business needs, and the time it has freed up for me (by being so efficient and having worked out all the bugs and issues) has great value to me. I highly recommend RUN powered by ADP Cons The thing I least like about RUN powered by ADP is the fact that I was not aware such a system existed. Definitely worth the monthly expense to have everything in one place. Cons I don't have any dislikes.
