Pros Ease of setting up our account and having ADP enter the employee information for us when setting up. Cons At first, we could not pull time allocation reports for salaried/exempt employees. Pros That I can update employee information at any time. Also, that I can choose what reports I want and print them out as anytime as well. It provides me access to my payroll numbers whenever I need them and I can easily train my employees on it as well. Pros RUN is the easiest payroll system to use. It is very easy to process payroll, add/update employee info and pulling reports. The mobile app for the business allows me access on the go which is needed more often than one would think. Cons integrations with outside vendors can be complicated to set up. I'm very pleased with how easy it is to use, the flexibility to adjust payroll timing, and the superb support I've received from my rep. Pros Flexibility, Support, & Cost: as a small business owner, it's extremely important to have control of my payroll runs. ADP gives me the flexibility to easily adjust the timing of payroll runs month to month. My rep took the time to make sure I was comfortable with the interface, which made all the difference! They are also very affordable - the service they provide is priceless, but their actual fees reflect a considerate approach to small businesses. Cons It's intimidating. I'll be honest, the first time I logged on to RUN, I was overwhelmed with the dashboard. Of all the hats I wear as a business owner, accounting is my least favorite. BUT...once my rep walked me through the process (and my accountant put all the correct numbers in) I realized how easy it is to navigate and focus on MY responsibility: running payroll! The support side help is non-existent. The wait time on your phone to get ahold of someone who can help is over an hour, and the reason to make me waste that time is pointless. Worst of all, I can't even talk to someone responsible for this nonsense. I wanted to voice my frustrations to someone because the 5 different account fund verifications is just plainly excessive. Pros It was about as simple to use as Quickbooks Online. The support failed completely after the initial account creation. Cons The account verification process is awful. The account gets randomly frozen despite having 30x the amount needed to actually process payroll. I have to personally address this since my dedicated payroll staff cannot complete this verification process and I am not getting the help I need. Both of them were my mistake and support was very helpful and aided me in getting a solution. Our ADP rep reaches out regularly to see if we need anything. Pros I really like how easy they make it to enter and approve my payroll each pay period. It's also nice that if one of the employee's hours are much different from the usual amount that it flags it and suggests I review it. Cons I don't like that I can't enter payroll earlier in the week and specify what day I would like the paychecks delivered. Whenever I enter and approve payroll, checks deliver the next day. It's honestly, good prompt service, but it would be nice to enter payroll early and not get checks for 2 or 3 days after that. Review Source BK Bruce K. I must mention that the onboarding process is super easy, and the various reports we use are easy to access and user-friendly. Pros For yours our small business used a different Payroll company. After it changed hands three times, becoming more and more unresponsive to our needs, we decided to switch to ADP. The improvement was immediate. Costs are down, glitches almost non-existent, and our employees are much happier too. We are very pleased with our decision to go with ADP. Cons If I have one small knock it is that sometimes it can be time-consuming to get to the right person when there is a question I need answered. When I do get there, the service is excellent. Cons The time it takes to acquire a tax ID after paying ADP to handle it for you is not exactly satisfying. Cons There has not been much we didn't like except for some difficulty with not having a dedicated person to answer questions during a transition.
