Paycor and Paychex have been used in the past, and I won't switch again. Pros Ease of use and understanding. This isn't just for Accounting either. Our employees love how easy it is to use and understand through their access levels. Even our CPA recommends the platform because how easy it is to use. Cons When there are two companies, I can't cancel one account and still have full access to it if they are linked. We made a decision very late in the year to make the switch and within a week we were running our first payroll. Our employees all enjoy the app as well and there were no hiccups with the initial direct deposits. Pros RUN is a very user-friendly payroll module for a small business. We have 5 hourly employees, some with different pay rates, and the technology allows for a quick payroll entry every 2 weeks. The cost of the tool is also lower than what we experienced from our previous payroll provider and the platform is better. The transition was seamless which was very important given we were crunched on time before our next payroll. Cons The register and preview reports we run could be better formatted with a more appealing look, but all the information we need is there. The platform is user-friendly, makes payroll simple to run, and keeps everything organized in one place. Tax filings and compliance feel much less stressful because the system walks you through what needs to be done. Although I had a small issue at the beginning with direct deposits being sent as paper checks, customer support handled it quickly and professionally. Since then, everything has run smoothly and reliably. Pros What I liked most about RUN Powered by ADP was how simple and streamlined it made payroll and tax filing. It kept everything organized in one place, made paying employees easy, and helped ensure compliance without feeling overwhelming. The automation features saved time, and the reports were clear and helpful for tracking my business finances. Cons What I liked least was that my first two direct deposits were sent as paper checks instead of being deposited electronically. It was a little inconvenient at the time, but once I contacted support they resolved the issue quickly and even gave me a free month for the trouble. After that, everything worked smoothly. As I said, it is a very user friendly website and app, the direct deposit is always on time and the reports are very accessible when I need them Pros Run is very easy to use. With just one click, you approve your salary and everything else runs in automatic in the system. Very convenient and user friendly Cons I sometimes forget to approve my salary on time. Best choice I have made has been using ADP. Overall, things have been excellent. Pros I like how easy it is to manage my payroll with RUN Powered by ADP. I can access all my needed reports within seconds. They offer so much at an affordable price. Whenever I needed support, their team has been very helpful, and I am always kept up to date on payroll changes on the State and Federal level. Cons I do not have any cons about using ADP or the self service software RUN. I just cannot think of any cons. But there have been some issues that have been trying at best since the issue did not effect just one company but many. Pros This is an excellent product for a small to midsized company that run a typical payroll. You also have the benefit of paying any contractors you choose to pay if running the same schedule as your payroll. The interface is user friendly and the reporting is wonderful. Getting issues resolved usually isn't too bad. I would recommend it to others if they were not sure of a payroll software to use. Pros I like that it is very easy to use most things in the software. I like that I have a rep that I can reach out to and he answers quickly. Cons Having to call in for certain things, such as adding school district taxes. Cons They limit the number of payroll items, such as pay descriptions and deductions you can use. They also won't let you split pay into more than one location for an employee in a single pay period.
