I've used MarkMagic for decades now and believe it is a flagship product for any application on an AS/400. Pros Once you know how the software works, it is not too hard to edit quickly to get the results you want. When an issue does come up, customer support is excellent as I get a response quickly from knowledgable people. Cons There is not a good way of viewing data fields already used within a format. If I need to use a miscellaneous field for a value, I can't do a search in the format easily to know if the field is used. If that were added, that would save a considerable amount of time when modifying existing complicated label formats so I wouldn't have to resort to SQL to determine field usage. As such, we don't deal with the interfaces directly, but most of our forms are formatted using MarkMagic. However, on the occasions that I've had need of their support staff, my experience has been top notch - timely, helpful, and professional.
