After many months of testing the new software, I can say with confidence that I am thoroughly impressed with its capabilities and functions. The software is intuitive and easy to use, and it has been designed with the user in mind. The software is also incredibly efficient, allowing users to access the features they need quickly and effortlessly. Furthermore, the software is reliable and provides a secure platform for users to store their data and content.

Pros

We’re very appreciative of the work that has done for us. They have done a wonderful job creating videos for our company and sharing them with their audience. The engagement levels associated with these videos have been impressive, and we believe they are helping to build brand recognition. We are thankful for the effort has put into this project, and we know that it will pay dividends in the future.

Cons

Working with influencers can be a great way to promote a brand and increase its visibility. However, the challenge of finding influencers who are both engaged and have many followers can be quite difficult. Many of the influencers that are available are often very young and don't always produce the highest quality images - some look very staged and unnatural, and some even have bad lighting. Additionally, it can be hard to track conversion rates from an influencer’s post or video.

Thus far, Trend has been worth it for simply creating content.

Pros

The software is very easy to use and it makes it quite easy to review creators with simple clicks.

Cons

Guidelines have changed and Trend has made it more difficult for non-luxury priced brands to maximize content. They have changed the minimum amount (in dollars) worth of product that creators need to receive to receive 2 photos. The new retail value is $150, this amount is not achievable for us based on the retail cost of our products. I also would like to see read receipts in the messages after confirming a creator. Sometimes communicating with creators can be tedious if they are not actively checking their messages.

I got on Trend to help me connect with creators to get content for my business but I think that this is best for companies with larger budgets who don't mind losing a few hundred dollars here and there and unfortunately, I am not in a space where I can comfortably take those losses. Every dollar counts in the world of small biz.

Pros

Trend is easy to use and set up and handles all copyright and ownership issues for you which is great as that saves time going back and forth with creators as far as negotiating pay and ownership rights.

Cons

The creators on trend are hit or miss and I have been ghosted by 1 or 2 each time I finalize a campaign. When I turn to customer service to ask for a resolution, I am not given much of an answer. This is extremely upsetting as a small business owner as not only are you required to pre-fund campaigns but you have also already sent out products with monetary value to said creators just to be ghosted and ignored. Customer service doesn't really care to do much about it either. Imagine being ghosted by a creator, then posting another campaign in good faith that it was just 1 bad apple to then have that SAME creator apply to your new campaign. Why weren't they flagged or removed altogether? No idea! Then another creator just turns around and does the same thing. Clearly, there are multiple bad apples. Not sure what the vetting process is for creators but it should be better. They claim creators have 7 days to make and submit content after receiving the product but it seems there are no repercussions for creators not fulfilling their end of the bargain. I have spent close to $1k on this platform and have met some awesome creators but experiences like this really outweigh the positive.

It was affordable and easy to use. They were upfront with pricing which I love.

I've really enjoyed Trend and appreciate how easy it is to use. It is going to be a staple in our digital marketing programs for all of our CPG clients.

Pros

Being able to bypass the negotiation process with influencers and knowing exactly what you're getting is pretty amazing. The analytics also help showcase any campaign as an effective branding exercise for my clients.

Cons

The only detraction is that it is currently only usable for Instagram.

Reason for choosing Trend

I chose Trend due to its simplicity. Extra time that is needed with other similar services costs us time and money that Trend doesn't.

The product was easy to integrate with Yotpo, and the fact that we don't have to draft contracts, follow up with contracts and have a one stop location to download and share the published content with analytics from the posts.

Cons

The con that I will mention about using their platform is they don't have a lot of creators that are in the fitness, nutrition and wellness niche.

Pros

You no longer find influencers; they find you. I set up a campaign and in now time I had 15 influencers that want to work with me. No more cold contacting influencer after influencer hoping for a response.

Cons

The only area that could have been better was the message board. When using the message board to contact an the influencer, it would have been helpful to be able to send a photo to help explain to her how set up and use my product.

The influencers we've found using Trend have been extremely professional. They have done a great time with the videos they created for us and shared with their audience. We're happy with the engagement they receive and believe it is helping to build brand awareness.

Pros

Trend saves me a ton of time trying to find and negotiate with influencers who have audiences interested in my brand. My experience with their influencers has been extremely positive.

Cons

The only thing I can think of that I would like to see is more details of the influencers Instagram page on the Trend site, But honestly that is an extremely minor concern.

This is a quick and easy way to find influencers. In general, I really like the platform, but I do often get influencers applying to a campaign that doesn't necessarily apply to them (e.g. my campaign is related to nose piercings and they do not have one).

I like that I post a campaign and the influencers come to me.

I wish there was an additional option for me to search through the influencers and invite them to my campaign.

Pros

It saves so much time on the back and forth negotiations when it comes to influencer campaigns.

It is so well organized, it reminds me a lot of Uber and other third parties for all different things besides just UGC that make connecting and streamlining a breeze.

Pros

Trend made it super easy to manage everything we were doing manually. No more keeping track of DMs in Instagram, or separate product shipment tracking, influencer research/hunting, or figuring out which payment platform to pay them with. It's a huge time saver and very organized.

Cons

As a smaller business, we weren't too keen on spending $100 per influencer on top of sending them free products and paying for shipping when we were just starting out. So I would suggest, this is a great way for more reach or buzz after you can afford to give away money and product.

Trend is allowing us to maximize our band with within our social media department. Influencer campaigns are typically very tedious to get going and keep track of. Trend allows us to house everything in one place and quickly track results.

The ease of finding influencers interested in the campaign, accepting them, and tracking product shipment/posts.

Cons

Influencers were not very responsive to messages, quality of influencers widely ranged.
