Overall we have had a great experience with Guusto. The team has been wonderful to work with and the 'pros' of the system are a big step up to what we are doing before. I am very hopeful for a few improvements that would make it absolutely perfect, but we are close!

Pros

What I like most about guusto is the ease of use on the redemption side for the employee. I love that they receive a text message when they are sent a gift card (due to our workday integration) and I also love that we can print out a QR code so that they can redeem that way versus having to check their email. I also love the guest redemption feature so that they don't have to log in to guusto to redeem.

Cons

There are 2 things that I dislike: 1) the process to fund our accounts has an extra step that we do not have with other vendors. We have to email Guusto finance to request an invoice. All of our other vendors upload invoices automatically in coupa without this extra step. This is likely going to cause issues, as our team is not used to having to do this. 2) I wish the platform handled sending in other currencies better. With our previous digital gift card vendor, we could send gifts in pounds, euros, etc. and it would show that amount on the front end prior to sending (e.g. if I was sending a $100 value GC in pounds, it would charge me $75 USD and convert the funds before I hit send.).

We like the ability to set an automatic 3 month expiration without having to pay an extra fee for each gift card. We love the integration with workday and ability for employees to receive a text when they get a GC and we also love the ability to easily print out a QR code to hand to an employee.

I love that it is set up in a similar fashion to social media- which helps everyone want to engage with the program. We do have some staff who have major issues thinking that their personal information is being used in a negative way (being sold to 3rd parties)... so maybe ensuring that it is clearly stated that the information is not sold, would encourage more people to sign up for the programs.

Pros

Very easy to use right out the gate. Love the interaction between teams/co-workers that wouldn't normally cross paths. So many added features that help manage your budget, friendly reminders about dates of importance as well. Introductions webinar was quite helpful, but I would say over drawn.

Cons

I am not 100% sure yet as we are in our infancy of use within the company. So far it seems too good to be true!

I really like it, and i think it is a great perk. I love how easy it was to use, and it continues to add more brands that i love to buy from. I just hope that they come up with a way for me to use the small amounts of money left on the gift cards, so i can really get use of everything.

Pros

I like the variety of places I can use the money. It is also a really good wat to give back to employees.

Cons

I dislike that if i use the money towards something but it does not reach the full amount, i cannot add it to another amount that i have to make it higher. for example: i have $6 left on one of the visa credit cards i picked, but i am unsure of something else that is $6 so the money is just going to sit there and eventually expire. i also wish i could use the money to go towards a bigger payment. i wanted to buy something that was $100, but i had a $50 guusto, so i was going to use the $50 gift card, and put my credit card for the rest, but i was unable to. i wish that was an option.

Our previous employee reward/recognition program accumulated points that the employee could only redeem for products that the program offered. The selection was not great and many employees sat on large amounts of unredeemed points because there was nothing they wanted from the selection the program had available. With Guusto the employee has a much wider range of vendors and therefore products to choose from, and even if their reward was not enough to outright purchase an item from one of those vendors, they can partially subsidize the purchase if they so choose with their Guusto redemption.

Pros

It is straightforward to use as an employer, has good selection of vendors the recipient can use, and is easy to use for the recipient.

Cons

So far I am quite pleased with it, so no complaints as yet. It is easy to use with good selection for the recipient to choose from.

Pros

Guusto is an amazing platform for giving employee recognition. My employees are so happy when they are recognised. It has a simple user interface, that makes it easy and convenient to address and reward your employees effort. They appreciate it.

Cons

I would love to have access to the American merchants. I wish that they were all available. If American companies are available in Canada, they should be a merchant as well for Canada.

Pros

By far, the customer service and support is what I like most about Guusto. I have always been the type of person to recognize when customer service representatives go above and beyond - having worked in customer service centric roles before. So when I was contacted by Camille, a Guusto associate who works within the Operations department, I was pleasantly surprised. She had wanted to touch base with me, answer any questions I had about the software, and encouraged me to reach out. Her commitment to ensuring I was having a good time with the platform solidified me decision to invest in Guusto.

Cons

There are not many things I dislike about Guusto, however I do wish that users could customize the design of the gift card on the free tier.

You can send shout outs to co workers and also gift them. So you can receive gifts from multiple sources and not just a certain selective group of individuals who may not see your work or help.

The fact you have to have a certain amount in your account to purchase anything from the selection that they have.

Customer support and value for money Exceptional Ease of Use: The platform is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly, both for managers sending rewards and for employees redeeming them. Cons

Detailed Analytics for Peer-to-Peer Recognition: Guusto does a great job of tracking gift redemptions and usage. However, having more granular, filterable data specifically on who is giving Shoutouts (peer-to-peer recognition) and which teams are most actively participating would be beneficial for measuring cultural impact.

I’ve definitely appreciated the system, now that I’ve received a few gifts/recognitions in system, I have also had the opportunity to redeem and use a gift card, which was quick and easy and very intuitive.

Pros

I like the flexibility! I can combine rewards into a larger sum and then redeem for a big gift card, or I can break it up into smaller amounts and different partners/vendors. I also love that the list of available partners is so diverse and covers so many options. And maybe the best part is that as long as I accept my gift within the receiving window, then once the value is accepted in my account, I can leave it there until I’m ready to use it and I don’t have to feel rushed.

Cons

That all the partner stores are Big Names, so it’s more challenging to utilize the system to support small/local businesses. (Not impossible, though!)

Pros

What I appreciate most about Guusto is the recognition it provides to reps. I also enjoy the gifts it offers, which motivate us to work harder, improve, and aim higher. I find it to be useful many times and have used Guusto a lot in the past.

Cons

There isn't much that I dislike about Guusto. However, I do think there are areas that could be enhanced. The user experience could be improved by adding more buttons and features that would make it easier for users to navigate and use the platform.
