Putting those feelings into words and turning it into a kind of social stream that's commentable and with the ability to add reactions from slack is a very good add-on to everyday work life Pros Giving Kudos help us encourage a culture of recognition in all our collaborators, we have a Feedback Friday instituted, to help everyone recognize a specific type of kudo to their peers Cons It doesn't have a lot of options, kudos is a very simple functionality, maybe adding diversity on additional stuff apart from the kudos types, that only change color and an icon, it could help Review Source JS Jax S. Pros It helps remote workers build relationships with other departments and coworkers. Cons No complaints, or improvements on my side needed, the only additional feature is to add which departments or tangible results have made an impact, but I think the showcasing nature and free form shoutout is the best way to acknowledge progress made. February 11, 2025 5.0 Matter has helped shed some limelight on ALL of our rock stars and it has even generated more participation than we had previously, Pros There are so many great things, from the ease of giving kudos or feedback within Slack, to the intuitive admin platform, and all of the available analytical tools! The various currency/region options are also a huge plus! Cons It would be cool if when someone give kudos in a channel, if other members can add recognition coins to the original slack post. For example: Taylor gave Justin 10 coins, Eleonora clicked on "Contribute" to join in and gave Justin an additional 5 coins. I suggest making sure higher ups are in it to win it before investing in the program. Pros Its great that you can give kudos both publicaly and privately. Sometimes it means more to get private kudos from a colleage that helped you through a difficult situation Cons A program is only as great as the people using it. There is probably an easy way to do this but I wish the reporting converting into cash vs kudos coins (do the math for me). Pros I love that people in our company that usually only get a shout out for amazing work are getting real rewards. You don't have to worry about buying gifts and mailing them since we are a completely remote company. Pros It's a great way to recognize co-workers for going over and beyond on projects.
