I think that I will be using this over my other video editing programs from now on, that's how much I like it. Pros Filmora comes with professional and easy to use tools. It has the option of purchasing a perpetual license that has a lifetime plan at a very affordable price. I like the fact that it allows you to set your aspect ratio right at the beginning of opening your project which I have never seen before. Cons I started using the trial version and was super impressed with it until I found out that my exported files came with a watermark and also that most of the cool effects came only in the paid version of Filmora, so I was pretty much forced to upgrade to get its full benefits. Alternatives considered [Final Cut Pro](https://www.capterra.com/p/233399/Final-Cut-Pro/) Reason for choosing Filmora I was unable to find Final Cut for Windows at my regular software vendors so I chose the next best option on my list and that was Filmora. Switched from [Camtasia](https://www.capterra.com/p/203013/Camtasia/) I am always looking for an alternative software to use when it comes to video editing because I like being versatile enough to use anyone of them if I feel one has a slight advantage over another. It was also very helpful to make some video poems since Filmora includes quite a few templates, songs, filters and others, which feed it with endless resources, which together with its ease of use, make it a perfect software to learn to make some compositions Cons I think its main disadvantage is its ease but also its little openness to new ways of editing videos, so it is obsolete in some of its functions, however, it remains valid as an amateur video editor. " June 29, 2018 5.0 Made tons of videos using this. It's super fast and gives output quite speedily. It's super easy to master and the learning curve is radically vertical. So I saved a lot of my time by choosing this for the company i worked in. Pros This is to video making what photoshop is to photo editing. Not as functional probably but super easy to use. Once you get grip of basics of it you can do anything. It's super easy to add videos, cut them, edit sound, remove soundadd captions, ad credits and do almost everything in it. The only thing you need to sacrifice is some time. And it doesn't take long hours like other professional softwares. I started working on it within 20 mins after learning basics. Cons Nothing. And most of the people I've shown it to have taken it onboard as well. Pros It's super easy to teach people how to use Filmora. I set up a small workshop for people to learn how to use it. In 2 hours, I had other people in the company making short videos for social media. Everyone loves how easy it is to use, and particularly, the motion graphics which come with the software make it a no-brainer. So easy to get a final product end-to-end with Filmora. Cons For how much it costs, I think Filmora is near-perfect in its video editing capabilities. But it definitely lacks in the audio department. There are tons of templates to create social content. These can be used out of the box by just importing the content. Pros I found this video editing software very easy to use and self explanatory options on the screen. I used to use Kinemaster and found it very confusing. After using Filmora I never went back. Cons There are very minimum text animations. Cinematic text animations or transitions cannot be achieved using this software.
