The set was easy and we have had a lot of fun with the platform! Pros I love how easy Nectar is to use. No need to send new team members a bunch of trainings about it. Also love how individualized the platform is! Cons Nectar doesn't cost much but my team loves using it so we do spend a good amount of money on rewards and challenges. Pros It is easy to use for the first time. I love the dashboard that lets me see my org's feed. I also love that I get to receive and give points to my team mates. Cons I love everything about Nectar. My experience with it has been great so far. It is a great tool for team building. Pros I like the monthly email reminders when my Nectar points are replenished get added to my account so that I know when I have more points to send out to other people. Cons I do not like how money is removed from my typical paycheck to cover "taxes" and does not save my login such that I have to re-verify my computer every time I attempt to login. Additionally, the options I have to choose from are things I would not normally choose to buy. Thus, I do not like to spend money from my paycheck to cover taxes. Review Source RG Ryan G. It's cool to be rewarded for having good work ethic, but it's even better to be able to show other co-workers my appreciation by sending points their way, too. Pros Nectar is easy to use and encourages us to foster a more collaborative workspace with in our school. Many of the things I get recognized and rewarded for I would do anyway, just because it's my work ethic, but being recognized for them helps me feel appreciated. There is a wide selection of gift cards to choose from and the options for school branded accessories is pretty cool, too. Cons I don't think there's anything I don't like about Nectar. The point to reward ratio makes sense and it's easy to use. I can't really complain. While there are a few areas where we’d love to see more advanced reporting and continued refinement of the rewards flow, Nectar has become a core part of how we reinforce our culture and celebrate wins across the team. Pros Nectar has made peer recognition incredibly easy and visible across our organization. The interface is intuitive, so even new hires start using it on day one with almost no training. I like that points can be tied to our core values, which turns casual shout-outs into measurable culture wins. The reward catalog (especially the gift cards) gives people flexibility, and the ability to recognize teammates across departments has helped break down silos and boost collaboration. Customer support has also been responsive and helpful any time we’ve had questions. Cons Reporting and analytics could be a bit deeper out of the box—especially around trends over time and team-level breakdowns. We’ve also had a few minor hiccups with delays on certain gift cards and redemptions, though they were resolved quickly. None of these are deal-breakers, but there’s room to level up the insights and fine-tune the reward experience. I haven't had any negative experiences using the platform, and generally the sentiment from my colleagues is the same. Pros Nectar has been a very simple way to recognize colleagues for anything from exceptional performance to work anniversaries and birthdays. I like that points can be saved until you are ready to redeem. This allows small point awards to add up to big rewards! Cons I don't really have anything negative to report about Nectar. Cons They is no particular area l dislike about Nectar, but l believe they can improve their reward system through reducing the number of points that someone needs to earn in order to redeem a gift card at an outlet of their choice. It really encourages dialogue between employees and allows for multiple levels of recognition. Cons It took a minute to learn about the Nectar app. The "shoutout" feature is not as easy to use as it looks. I've needed support and literally receive a message back within '5 mins or less. Never had had any outages or issues with the system. It's easy just like social media platforms to post and recognize. I also love the fact that you cannot recognize without relating to our business values, so it ties directly to our priorities as well as keeping them at top of mind. Pros Nectar is wonderful. We've had it now for almost 3 years and what I love most is it's so simple and easy, my teams loves to use it daily and it's extremely organic for them to do so. And our company representative is also great and informative and constantly keeping us up to date on new offerings within the product. Plenty of reward options, including tons of gift cards. The sync with ADP work force helps keep the employee list up to date. Cons As an admin with insight into budgets, the cost is a little pricey in my opinion. That being said, a lot of similar programs are about the same cost, so it is competitive. I also wish that the ADP sync would recognize when employees change their last name and/or email and merge the account instead of creating a new one like it currently does. Additionally, it is very easy and intuitive to use and some of the features allow you to directly tie the behaviors you're shouting out to the core values of your organization! Cons There is nothing that I don't enjoy about Nectar! I think it's a great solution. If there were improvements for the future, I think it could be data analytics for People and Culture teams to help them even more with spotlighting "the best" behaviors and driving culture.
