" February 5, 2026 5.0 It's been great, it's very automated and fun (I like the confetti splash when I send a reward). I use it on both ends, giving and receiving, on the receiving end there are so many gift card options which is very nice. Pros It's super easy to use to reward and praise my colleagues and associates for a job well done. Years ago before Nectar the process to give a "spot bonus" or recognition was manual and archaic, but with Nectar it's instant, and there's lots of gift card choices. Cons It's a minor thing, but the points and dollars are not a 1 for 1, it's 1000 points equals $100 dollars, so sometimes it's hard to remember that and remember what I'm actually giving. " April 15, 2026 5.0 As an educator, our school uses Nectar as a recognition platform, where we can recognize each others accomplishments and hard work. Pros What I like most about Nectar is getting the employee recognition that we may not regularly receive verbally. I also very much enjoy that we accumulate points that we can then turn in for gift cards for personal use. Pros Generates Employee engagement and provides employees with rewards they can choose themselves and will actually use. Cons I have no issues with Nectar in its current form. I wish my previous employers used nectar for recognition. I feel this helps to provide team members with the gift they want instead of incentives from leadership that they don’t really want. There’s also an amazing way to provide recognition to your peers that translate to an actual monetary value when provided with nectar. This is a well rounded program. Pros I like that you can shout out team members and convert your nectar to give an additional award of your choosing. The wide range of gift cards available to choose your prize is another great positive. You can also creat a collaborative environment and do challenges for the company or group. You can also elect to have points provided used for swag only. No keeping track of manual budget sheets and gifts. It’s automatic. Cons I don’t have a con that I can think of. It's a great platform to keep up with all the great things happening at my company, and I get to shoutout my coworkers! Pros I like being able to recognize my coworkers for their hard work, and get recognition for my own hard work. It's a plus that recognition comes with gift cards to redeem for wherever I want. My coworkers and I have improved team collaboration due to Nectar allowing us an official way to recognize each other. Cons Some of the gift cards expire after only 6 months. I don't think I've seen this apply to any of the gift cards for specific places, but the visa and mastercard gift cards do expire and they say that you can get a physical card, but I can't figure out quite how to do that. I also like the way it has brought our team together. Cons Initially, it was the administration of users. However, that has been taken care of by integration with our payroll system. It's easy to use and navigate. It helps keep employees engaged and promotes a positive, reinforcing environment without bogging down your workload. Pros I love that Nectar allows you to connect all your employees and support employment engagement throughout the entire organization. Employees can easily engage with each other and show support to each other on it. The incentives for discounts and rewards are amazing. Pros Nectar is a great way to recognize your peers and subordinates for their great work and going above and beyond. The selection of rewards available is wide ranging and it makes receiving recognition even more impactful as you can get what you're needing or wanting through the rewards available such as gift cards or PayPal deposits. Cons There really isn't much to like about Nectar. I wouldn't really be able to offer any ways to improve Nectar either as they have done a great job with the UI and reward selection. Also love how individualized the platform is! Cons Nectar doesn't cost much but my team loves using it so we do spend a good amount of money on rewards and challenges. Cons The only area that I feel could be improved is the employee search feature when giving out an award. It's helping to build morale and teaches our team members and supervisors to look for the positives in others and point them out. Everyone wants to be told they are good at something and this makes it fun and less awkward. It's also motivating. It's a great way to give a bit of a performance based raise to individuals and allow them to pick what it goes toward. I am a user of Nectar and not in administration so I don't have the ability to control all the features we are using in our company, but what I have seen, I love! Pros My team loves this program! It's a great way to reward employees in the moment for a job well done. As a supervisor, I use Nectar every day and it's so easy to do. We love to use the gifs and pictures to make it fun. When we look back on the shoutouts we've done, it's filled with inside jokes that make work more fun. There are so many choices for gift card redemptions that there is something for everyone. All my team members get so excited about giving out their points each month and saving them up to redeem it for something they want. It's really helped my team build a good morale and rapport with each other! Cons Sometimes it does glitch and you have to refresh or log out and wait a bit to send a shoutout. There were also a lot of options for things to redeem on amazon Cons not enough points to give out. Cons My only complaint would be in how sometimes you can get locked out if you try to redeem points towards the end of the month. In a business setting, it can often be hard to know how to acknowledge your colleagues in a way they’ll appreciate. Nectar leaves the reward up to the recipient. Cons Nectar frequently logs me out of my work-issued tablet and personal cellphone, which is a small complaint. I don’t have any issues with Nectar as a tool or product.
