The interface is easy to navigate and the process to enter the data that I need translated is seamless Cons Not much that I can say in terms of cons for GlobalLink. I have not experienced any issues with the tool. From what I have used, everything works well and is a straight forward system. Pros I enjoy the ability to maintain oversight of the work being performed at my company. Previously, everyone was operating differently and we were not gaining any efficiencies. Being able to monitor overall spend is critical for me as well. Cons I don't have any cons at this point. We are still working to bring Project Director in but are currently using Transport. Additionally, the many language options that are available. Cons A few times the pins did not work, but overall things were fixed fairly quickly. Pros The real-world examples where Transperfect and partners have implemented solutions at organizations. Hearing from Transperfect employees and also external organizations on how they have implemented the technology. Everyone enjoyed what they were presenting on, and a lot of the presentations were very interactive. I like when speakers give the audience a chance to ask questions and gain some insight Pros i love the interaction between individuals. Ty Trainer's session was my favorite by far. His energy and interacting with clients and individuals is second to none. This event also gave me access to interact with people from different companies, and that is always appreciated. Pros I love the different options that are available for communication. I also enjoy the ability to see timelines through project tracking. Cons Project tracking, although very useful, has limitations. In addition, for the price of the service as a whole I would expect some more customer centric features. Like the example above. Pros It's simple in set-up. You send in a file, it comes back translated. You can attach reference files, make notes, set the date. It's got all the key features you need and it always works, never any bugs. Cons It's very basic. I would expect that as the service is quite expensive there would be a library feature which allowed you to search for already translated copy. We have these very basic sentences, for example "thank you for subscribing to the newsletter". We might place this in one location on the site, yet two years later CRM wants to leverage this translation. In order for me to find the translation deck I will have to remember where I saved the original file/named the project. Since all of these decks are part of the Global Link database it would be much more useful if I could just look for it in there. It allowed me as a one-person operation for globalization within the company to deliver the goods without begging for help from IT and other departments. Pros Specifically OneLink takes away a great deal of the burden associated with localizing a website that's under continuous delivery. It practically just like point it at your site and you've got a localized site. No need for tons of personnel and infrastructure on the back end. Cons No other vendor has a product like this so it ties you to them for the long haul. But the benefits are worth it. They understand quickly my issues and would invest to find a solution rather quickly. Pros The team provided a connector that is cut to our needs. The platform is also easy to use for our web reviewers and we nearly never had bugs to report about the platform itself. Cons On the other hand, the print reviewers/users faced some issues with the styling of the in-design files that came back. Fonts were changed, links were no longer working and image format was changed. Reason for choosing GlobalLink The provided a solid and flexible connector to our CMS and this is essential for the translation process to work. They also provide a good quality translation of our technical documentation and texts.
