### "Notion - best tool for keeping track of things in your work and personal life"

September 25, 2023

5.0

As a scrum master, I use Notion for backlog refinement and project management - it's always open on one of my screens. We customised it to our needs and manage multiple teamspaces with their own projects and tasks within one platform. I also use Notion in my personal projects and casual note-taking and can't imagine my life without it.

Pros

I like the versatility and flexibility of Notion. It can be customised endlessly to create a workspace that works best for you. We were able to create a perfect system for task and project that suits our needs. I also like that I can add tasks and different resources to my Favourites, and they appear in the sidebar, so I'm able to easily fetch what I need. It's also easy to track any changes and comments in the Updates tab, so you don't miss if someone left a comment or assigned something to you. Another small but fantastic feature is being able to insert code and choose the formatting for it. We're a software-heavy company, so storing and sharing pieces of code is essential.

Cons

It's hard to find points that I don't like, but perhaps the different views and layouts could be made more intuitive. Sometimes it can take a while to figure out the best way to organise data.

### "Notion as a second brain for your productivity"

September 20, 2022

5.0

Notion helped me in many ways, such as creating my second brain, storing my files, creating projects and sharing them with my friends,

Pros

You can make it whatever you want it to be. A file storage system, a to do list, a habit tracker, travel planner, and many more.

Cons

I don't like that the Undo/Redo is missing from the mobile App It takes time to master everything.

### "The greatest thing since sliced bread"

August 14, 2021

5.0

How many people can say that after three years of using a piece of software that I am more excited and more dedicated to Notion than ever before. They are rolling out new features each and every month so it just keeps getting better and better. And the craziest thing about it is that for most people Notion is 100% FREE. If you don't sign up for this program and at least try it out, you don't know how badly you are missing out.

Pros

I have been using Notion for about three years now and it just keeps getting better and better. What I like most is the block-based concept for building your documents, projects, etc. In fact, Notion is so flexible, that after I'd gotten familiar with it and had been using it for only about 2-3 weeks, I eliminated nine other programs I was using because everything that was available or useful in them, I could do in Notion. To clarify, the programs I replaced were Google Docs, Sheets, MS Access, MS OneNote, a KanBan program, Google Keep, Pocket, clipping program, Collectorz (book management program), Plottr (novel outlining program) and three other minor notetaking and writing apps.

Cons

I think for now, the only feature I would like to see that Notion doesn't (YET) have is the ability to open multiple documents at the same time. There are actually a couple of ways around that, but that minor issue is all I could think of. I am an absolute diehard Notion fan.

### "The most flexible software anyone can use"

July 16, 2022

5.0

Overall, I enjoy using it. It reduces switching cost since everything is in one place already.

Pros

I love how the software is so flexible and you can customize documents to fit your objective - whether it is creating tables, database, blog content, calendar, timelines, task management, etc.

Cons

I don't like how you can't copy and paste a whole document or even a few paragraphs from another website into a notion page due to the block restriction.

Reason for choosing Notion

Cuz Notion can do what Asana can do, and more

### "The Best Productivity and Project Management Tool in the Market"

December 30, 2022

5.0

Overall, this is one of top best tools for my personal and work productivity, product management, and digital content organizing tool. I highly appreciate Notion!

Pros

Not only do I appreciate the design of Notion, which is clean, modern, and easy to navigate, it's a wide range of views and templates that perfectly suit my needs, including calendars, task lists, project boards, and knowledge bases. Notion's real-time collaboration allows my team members to work on projects together in a single interface, commenting and updating information is easy. It also made me use Notion for my personal and business, and now my life has evolved with Notion. It integrates my life, and my work thru devices like my iPhone, iPad, and multiple computers. Just the perfect tool for me and others, both personal and business. Highly recommend it!

Cons

Accessing shared pages in Notion as a guest is a little more involved than downloading a shared file from Google Drive. However, it is still possible to view shared pages in Notion without creating an account, as long as you have the correct link and the person who shared the page has set the correct sharing permissions. Besides this, Notion is perfect!

Reason for choosing Notion

First of all, my workplace switched from Evernotes to Notion. Then, even for personal use, I switched Evernote to Notion as the same reason as above. I like the Notion page layout which I can totally customize. I could see all my personal and business on one page and it is very easy to navigate.

### "Notion is a great and versatile collaboration tool for our 20-person team"

September 11, 2022

5.0

Notion is fully customizable, which makes it a great tool for any team looking to create a collaborative workspace. Yet, the endless possibilities mean that it may take some time to setup and make it your own. I would advise everyone to try it, start small, and with time Notion may become the backbone of your organization.

Pros

We have been using Notion since day 1 of our startup, for everything from meeting notes to project management to internal knowledge base to user feedbacks and product backlog. I love how versatile and customizable Notion is, and their UX is great. It is easy to onboard new employees, our workspace evolved from a 3-person to a 20-person team and I am confident that it will still work well for us in the coming years.

Cons

\- Notion can become slow when you have a lot of content in it, thankfully things improved in the past few months. - You need to be careful about how you share pages, otherwise you may be sharing information by mistake. - The Notion API was released less than a year ago, it can still be improved, meaning that integrations don't always work well. I hope the API gets better with time.

### "Notion is a great versatile tool for note-taking management, and for task and project management. "

Pros

### "What Makes Notion Great for Work (and Personal) Use"

August 30, 2022

5.0

Overall, Notion made managing tasks and deadlines easier. I am able to track down my progress much better. Moreover, I can always design my Notion workspace however I want it to look like, which really motivates me to work better because the software's aesthetics are simple yet editable and functional.

Pros

I like how Notion functions as an all-in-one software. Once you start using it, there is almost no need for you to use other softwares. Whether it be Project Management, Task Management, or File Management, you have the freedom to design your workspaces according to your purpose.

Cons

At first, using Notion was difficult since you need to have some technical knowledge, especially when working on the databases. Also, the colors that can be used when categorizing items under multi-select are limited. However, these features should not stop you from using this software as they do not necessarily ruin your user experience.

### "Excellent for organazing your life, managing projects with your team and taking notes"

August 29, 2021

5.0

I have had a fascinating experience, it has been a significant change in how I organize my life and my projects. I have a main space that is linked to other pages that corresponds to every aspect of my life (academic, personal, professional projects, etc.). This, in combination with databases, allows me to have an overview of my life, classify everything and dont miss details.

Pros

Notion is an excellent option since it provides a lot of elements that you can add in your pages or subpages, also you can set up a collaborative workspace. The magic feature of Notion which allows me to have everything organized is databases creation. Using databases I can represent tasks in different ways such as calendars, boards, lists or tables, also I can assign properties like date, a category or status. These properties are useful since they allow me to filter and sort tasks according to my needs. For example, when collaborating in a project, you can assign tasks to different people, and they can filter that database and visualize only their tasks for the current week. I love how Notion does a lot of work for me in just a few clicks. Also, it is amazing how my notes look after exporting them as PDF, which is another feature that I use a lot.

Cons

The only thing that I would like Notion to incorporate is the option to import fonts easily, since there are tutorials on internet but I would like this option directly on the menu.

### "Notion, your #1 companion as a virtual assistance to manage projects and tasks! "

February 17, 2023

5.0

My overall experience with notion from the start and the end, when I stopped being a virtual assistant has been very excellent. It made my day to day task and work really manageable and concise and properly arranged making me follow suit!

Pros

I love how the software is easily accessible from multiple devices, so if there are updates from the clients or something urgent that needs to be done, you do not need to be at home or on your desktop to be alerted and being able to easily manage the pages, daily tasks, new projects or activities for the day is such a godsend, because being a person who can easily forget most things when stressed out, having the option to make tasks and even be able to track what I have done or something that needs doing urgently can barely be found on other platforms!

Cons

I really do not dislike anything about this software, but if there is something to nitpick about is that, it does take time to get used to despite the user interface of the software is beginner friendly, but nothing is perfect and I can't even think there is something that needs improving, but maybe putting up tutorials for the first time users is one of those things that I would like to see in the future.

### "Notion has way too many features but this doesn't get in the way of having a very usable product"

July 29, 2021

5.0

Very positive experience overall and beats the competition in terms of value for price.

Pros

Notion offers a ton of value for the price. I started using Notion for my personal note-taking, which is a great way to get familiar with it without having to pay anything. Then, when our team was growing and we needed a more robust internal wiki product, Notion was the first thing everyone on the team shouted when we realized we were outgrowing our previous wiki product.

Cons

Notion, perhaps, has too many features. The team has done a really good job of keeping all the bells and whistles from getting in the way, but all the plugins and item types do mean that a user can easily get distracted or set up an overly complicated page. Also, the search feature seems to take a little too long and produce duplicate results (i.e. if a search matches a term in multiple parts of a single page). I find myself struggling to understand what the search results are showing me sometimes.

### "I wish I had Notion in college"

October 28, 2022

5.0

If I had a Notion in college, it's safe to say, I would've gotten better grades. Since discovering this product, I have been 100x more productive because I can customize my workspace to my exact needs in a friendly, aesthetically pleasing platform. In order to make Notion work for you, you need a creative and problem-solving mind, and a few days to learn it. That's where I have the most fun creating the templates and workflows, and my team members make me feel like a productivity wizard.Working with databases is seamless, integrations work great, and my notes look and feel amazing. I use Notion for my tracking and planning my daily life, as well as my small business. After setting up the templates and workflows, my team members rave about how easy and centralized the projects are. They even started to learn how to create templates and workflows of their own since being introduced to it.Despite the lack of advanced styling, I love having a digital workspace that caters to our exact needs.

Pros

Notion is super easy to use, the interface is beautiful, and the possibilities are endless. I enjoy making templates that actually help me be more productive and get things done. There is also a native marketplace full of free and paid templates that I love getting inspiration from and experimenting with. Notion also has one of the most helpful and motivating communities where templates and productivity ideas are shared. I enjoy using this to organize my projects as a digital business. The pricing plans are reasonable, and they also offer credits when you complete certain tasks. It is best paired with Google Chrome Extensions. There are many extensions that make the Notion experience even better like customizing the theme colors, adding buttons, etc.

Cons

My nit-picky con isn't all that important when it comes to productivity, but visually notion lacks native advanced customization. The downside of using Chrome Extensions to customize the look and feel of my notion pages is that it doesn't apply across browsers and on the desktop and mobile app. There's too much space around the margins, which can be valuable real estate for the page content. I also wish the page properties didn't take up half the page with the right side of it empty. I also wish that text could be aligned right and centered.Another downside I have is having to use Notion in Google Chrome most of the time to take advantage of the style customization extensions.

### "I Use Notion to Manage My Second Brain, It's an App with Most Clean & Consistent Interface "

December 8, 2021

5.0

Overall Notion is a great app for whoever wants to organize their work and life. Notion Second Brain Template is a game changer.

Pros

Notion is how I organize my existence. I enjoy how I can modify practically everything in the app's design and feel. The simplicity of the white canvas is astounding. With Hundreds of Notion Templates, It becomes very easy to quickly manage any aspect of life and work. Notion Desktop is super quick, has a user-friendly design, and is quite versatile. With a few keystrokes, you may transform the canvas by simply adding blocks around it. Timeline Views, Grouped Views, List Views are fantastic.

Cons

I don't like the price. There should be a one time free. In Free version, User Collaboration should be allowed at least up to 2-5 users.

Asana was very pricey. Plus They didn't fix the ability to archive completed Sections. This meant that there were a lot of completed sections floating around. The only fix was I had to Delete those sections. Also Notion offered a lot better flexibility in terms of creating and managing projects.

### "Notion ha cambiado mi forma de trabajar"

September 19, 2022

5.0

### "My second brain Notion"

June 7, 2022

5.0

I noticed it while writing this review. I guess I've become a Notion fan. Notion has made my life much more organized and easier. Thank you to all providers 😊

Pros

I think that the most important advantages of Notion are the content management tools it offers, especially the database, and its web-based nature.

Cons

When migrating from another software, it may take some time to adapt to block logic and content management tools. But the time spent learning this software will definitely and definitely be worth it.

### "Great software - even better with AI"

May 26, 2023

5.0

I usually work on a number of projects at the same time, and each project involves a wide variety of tasks. In particular, text authoring and editing works very well in Notion - and Notion AI has significantly increased the utility of the program for me.

Pros

The variety of possibilities and options in Notion are impressive. There is actually nothing you can't do with Notion.

Cons

The great advantage of Notion, the endless possibilities, is also a problem: it takes time to understand the depths of the program. Customization is great, but only possible once you understand and internalize Notion. You have to get involved with Notion.

### "Note taking app with where you can do much more than note taking"

December 8, 2022

5.0

Love the overall experience, works as it is supposed to be. I've shifted from Google docs to notion.

Pros

1\. Support for creating public webpages, which look like a proper webistes with standard template.2. Excellent for embedding videos, music, code and other content which is not supported in Google Docs3. Great for working in teams, you can assign tasks, do planning4. Excellent community that is making very useful things using the public APIs

Cons

1\. The structure of how notes are stored in it is like a pyramid. Pages inside pages and you can keep going. Usually when writing notes, a more graphical structure would be very intuitive as a lot of time we cross reference things. This can't be done so easily in Notion. Also, what I don't like is that when I want someone to review a document I've written on Notion, they can't easily add comments to it which happens in google docs very easily. Usually this is very nice for writing company documents, but when writing content which requires reviews, I prefer using google docs.

Pros

### "A little gem in the garden of productivity tools"

March 31, 2023

5.0

We love it! Super fun to use, very powerful thanks to its flexibility. It requires some time and experience to design the structure and processes on how you want to use it, but then it can help solving many use cases in a small company.

Pros

At the same time it's very simple and easy to use, but advanced and flexible. You can easily see that it was created by the people with high appreciation of good UX (User Experience) in software. You can shape it to become your note taking app, knowledge base, personal project management, company project management, budget planner, and so much more...

Cons

The flexibility comes with the price - at certain moment it lacks the structure. Then, you can use it in so many different areas, that when you start using it in a specific domain, it starts to compete with bigger tools which will be always more advanced (as they are dedicated to one specific thing).Sometimes, it can be little slow when working on project with many pages.

Pros

From the project management system to the real time active changing. I found myself using notion all the time for my business. I love that I can have an easy template that someone else made and and change and customize it to my business needs. I also like how quick it loads up and how universal it is for my whole team.

Cons

They're very few things I don't like about notion but if I had to be Uber critical I would say that the free version can only get you so far. I found myself wanting a lot of the features that the paid versions had but I still got a lot of good use out of the free version

Reason for choosing Notion

NOTION.SO: AI Writing Assistant.I don't have any dislikes, just compliments, because really, if it continues like this, it will forever be my main workspace. But I am sure that they are always looking to innovate and surprise us, as has been the case.

### "The everything app"

April 13, 2021

5.0

I keep finding new and better ways to support my workflow using Notion. I'm currently moving my task and project management into there (using the system that \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] teaches on his YouTube channel), and this is really exciting for me. I'm a musician, teacher and conductor, and one of the great things here has been developing a database of scores and pieces, so I include data based on my own criteria, as well as just collecting links to articles and recordings etc. I was able to use it for much of the admin in teaching a band program, as well as lesson planning and assessment. A particular strength in that was an inventory of equipment, as well as the sheet music library. This was great because more details could be included specific to one type of item without cluttering up the main list of equipment. e.g. I can list how many guitars we have overall in the main list, but then within the Guitar entry include specific details on the make/model/quantity/condition within that page. It can be a bit overwhelming and get a bit cluttered if you don't have a system. But the fact that everything is a page (including every entry in a database) means that over time you can work out what structure and system works for you, rather than one imposed on you from the outside. This is great, but it can require some thinking and time to set up. It saves you time in the long run, and can make your knowledge management (for personal, professional, or leisure use) really amazing.

Pros

The ability to make everything a database, and link relationally is so powerful, and implemented in an easy to use way. But when jumping in for the first time, you can just start with notes, images, in a familiar hierarchical setup, so it is very accessible. You can present the databases in a table, list, board (kanban) or gallery style (probably more), and put views to each database in any page. This has the power to do almost everything, but it's easy, reliable, it looks great and I can get it any device or web. Over time I've found new ways to use it and set it up for my daily life and workflow.

Cons

There are some minor features that I'd like to see added, but over time I have seen Notion adding features I previously wanted, plus lots I didn't know I wanted (and lots that are probably relevant to other users but not to me personally). But in terms of functionality, I wouldn't bother listing them here, because I am pretty sure that the main ones will eventually be added! In terms of interface, the support for on screen keyboard on Windows, and sometimes typing things in on Android can be inconsistent and annoying. I'd love to see features to add in ink drawings or annotate images, so that I can use my stylus on my windows convertible laptop more easily. This would probably remove the last couple of use cases for OneNote that I have.

### "Notion: the note taking service I've always wanted"

February 3, 2023

5.0

To me, the free version of Notion is perfect. None of the limits of the free account prevent me from enjoying this wonderful service. Through Notion I can take notes of many heterogeneous activities while at the same time keeping them in order. The formatting capabilities are excellent. The only bad note is related to the Android app that results too slow to be really helpful.

Pros

Notion's web site is very intuitive and allows the user to quickly create and manage documents. Each document can be formatted in a very practical way either using the typical shortcuts of word processors or through a right click menu. It is also possible to import images and links in a fast way. Everything contributes to a wonderful feeling of power and tidiness.

Cons

Unfortunately the Android app is not as usable as the website. Despite having all the features, it results very slow even on powerful devices. Moreover it presents some bugs while typing text. The android app allows the user to do everything, but in a very frustrating way.
