### "A practical and easy-to-use tool. Several functions that make our day to day easier. Giving clarity "

January 6, 2023

4.0

Notion has few flaws, it is by far the tool I most enjoyed working with. It has many possibilities, several functions that make our day to day even easier. I would say that Notion is a multi-tool. Because it manages to help us in everything related to: Project planning, task scheduling, follow-up, daily, weekly and monthly management, control folders, content archive and several other things.

Pros

It is certainly to create content folders and schedule my tasks. Distinguishing tasks that are on the radar and what is actually a priority.

Cons

It's just that we can share the folders and some content only with which you have an account on Notion.

### "5x productivity booster notes management tool"

January 15, 2023

5.0

Notion was just like a Gift for me because I was looking for such a powerful tool where I could organize my learnings. I have a habit of taking notes of my learnings; after using Notion, I can quickly access its website or app, to recall my learnings. It has a significant impact on productivity. Notion, I believe, is on the right track. This software is highly recommended by me.

Pros

There are a bunch of things I like about Notion. But following things I like and use the most.1. It's completely FREE for personal use2. Extremely easy and powerful editor3. Ability to share a page as a public web-page4. KANBAN board feature for task tracking5. Tree like structure for page managementAnd the list goes on.

Cons

Honestly, there is nothing that I dislike. But, they could just add one search bar to filter the pages in the navigation bar.

### "The best documentation and task management experience"

September 8, 2022

4.0

I think Notion is a fantastic tool for personal use and at work for collaboration inside and between teams. It is also a great knowledge base and documentation tool for the company. We use notion do document Data Analysis and it is great for sharing and mantaining our insights. The only problem is that pricing for the whole company is a little high, so it only works well if everyone involved is commited to using it to its fullest potential.

Pros

Notion is very intuitive and easy to use. Once you learn how it works you can build almost any workflow you can imagine with it. It is also great that Notion uses Markdown, which makes writing in it delightful and easy.

Cons

Here the only problem I can think of with Notion is the pricing, which is a little high for all collaborators in the company. We eventualy decided to keep as users only the ones who use it, which limits its potential as a collaboration tool.

### "Notion: The Best FREE Note-taking software to date!"

December 22, 2020

5.0

Ultimately, I would recommend Notion to anyone in an instant. It has a suite of features, user-friendly UI and organisation benefits. Furthermore, the personal subscription recently became free for everyone and the business prices are reasonable, giving people no reason not to use Notion. I believe that Nation can fit into many workflows very easily due to its plethora of features.

Pros

Notion is absolutely brimming with useful features and is the Swiss army knife of note-taking applications. The overall software is so minimalistic and intuitive to use that I personally learnt it within a few days. The whole software revolves around using "/ " to create blocks and edit text; for example, a /toggle would create a toggle block which acts as a dot point except that you can hide/show it. This makes the learning curve of notion virtually non-existent and creates unparalleled flexibility in the structure and style. I find that the simple and uncluttered UI helps clear my mind and focus on the current task. The data management is superb with extensive sorting, classification and customisation features for the spreadsheet and databases functions. The timeline features are also an extremely welcome addition in the recent updates and allow for the seamless moving of date-specific records. There are countless useful templates as well which certainly help give me ideas about what I wanted my Notion notes to look like.

Cons

Some features make little sense and unfortunately cannot be disabled. One of these issues occurs when clicking on a page in a table and it opens up as a tiny square and you need to press "Open as page," to make the page full screen. This is just a small annoyance and is honestly not that big of a deal. Another lacking feature is the scarce customisation options for text formatting however there are solutions to this through Google Text Fonts. There are also a few limitations of the free Personal Plan but if you needed the full collaborative features of Notion, your company would usually pay for that. The offline mode for Notion is frankly quite bad as you have to preload the pages when you have internet beforehand. Otherwise, your notes would be inaccessible. However, this isn't at all a deal-breaker as there is usually internet everywhere. Notion has also indicated that they are focusing on this problem for future updates. The mobile app is also sluggish at times but it is mostly alright.

### "A great tool, when you know how to use it"

February 25, 2022

5.0

Notion has helped me to stay more organised and to structure things that I need to do personally and professionally in a more sophisticated way without having to put in much effort to do so. It is the ultimate tool for any kind of person and has so many use cases that the mind boggles.

Pros

The flexibility is king when it comes to Notion, it has the power to be used by almost anybody for any purpose. I also love the amount of people that contribute to the Notion community, by creating templates for most anything that you could imagine. The strong community and flexibility makes an unbeatable combination and the product is still being developed. I am excited for what is next. It is also great because it is cross platform, so I am able to use it anywhere on any device and just pickup where I left off. This is great for a person with an iPad, Macbook, PC and an Android phone.

Cons

Text editing was a little strange, but this has already been resolved in a very recent update and I will be testing this more intensively. I think the mobile applications for Notion could use a little work, they are rough around the edges, but as far as I see it, Notion is more of a desktop application focused on productivity and I am not entirely sure 100% committed to productivity would be using a phone application only to manage such a thing.

### "Notion, my second brain 🧠"

November 3, 2023

5.0

Pros

I have access to it from all my devices and the speed and performance continues to improve. As i predominately use it as my second brain the ease of getting information into Notion is 2nd to none and retrieval of that information is so simple, and more importantly fast.

Cons

i can't think of anything at the minute but no doubt the Notion Team will come up with something that I can't live without and get me to ask myself why didn't I think of that.

### "Notion can eat Google Docs for breakfast"

April 28, 2022

5.0

Pros

Notion is, in my opinion, the pinnacle of document creation. It offers a loose structure that provides an opinion of how things can work, but is overwhelmingly flexible in what users can do. Never before have I so quickly been able to - create docs - integrate them with dates - add external media

Cons

Notion's pricing structure is fair, but it's hard to beat free! Google Docs is only surviving, imo, because so many companies already pay for GSuite.

### "Notion keeps your projects in motion!"

We really enjoy managing our projects and deadlines through Notion! It helps us cut down the noise and have a clear line of sight on our operations, goals, deadlines and work flow.

Pros

We love being able to have a line of sight on all of our projects at a glance! This helps us align out strategic vision with our operational daily tasks allowing us to meet our deadlines with ease!! This also allows us to manage our teams workflow without micro managing!

Cons

We are still learning how to use all the features and maximize our operations. At the moment everything we have been using so far is great!

### "Great collaboration, documentation and task management tool "

March 30, 2021

5.0

We love it on our team and would be lost without it. If we were to lose Notion, we would have to replace it with several other tools.

Pros

Notion is robust enough that we can store our documentation here, share with the whole team and manage our meetings and project tasks all in one place. If there's something to do, we know where to find it.

Cons

Formatting text is somewhat limited, but fine most cases. The mobile apps are very convenient but some of the features for iPad do match up to the desktop experience.

### "Notion is such a great software!"

July 22, 2021

4.0

For me the best things of Notion are: Incredibly good for relating information, I can find anything fast. Everything is easy to see. The visualization es awsome. It sustitutes many other software, all in Notion is just great (not spreedshets)

Pros

Its versatility is awesome. I have use it for the last three years. At the begining I used it to store information. then I upgraded my workspace to start collaborating with others, then as an ERP, now I host courses on Notion and even use it to design and use simple webpages, easy and cheap!

Cons

The Api is now resolving a lot of weak points that Notion had, but one for which I haven't found a good solution is communication within the app. Many of us just use Whatsapp and a screenshot rather than communicate on the page.

### "Notion is so good"

April 21, 2023

5.0

Excellent! The moment you get the hang of it, you won't let go of it

Pros

There are a lot of features in Notion that make note-taking and activity management very easy to do. Also its user interface is so friendly so you can learn very quickly which are the features of the app.

Cons

The learning curve for Notion can be steep. I recommend using Notion initially for simple tasks and once you have a good handle on those, move on to using it for more complex things

### "Notion as the Best Software to Organize your Business and Life"

October 1, 2021

5.0

My overall experience with Notion has been pleasant. Since I started using it, I have been able to organize my business and life in a much more efficient way than a traditional system. Notion has opened the doors for me to stay focused and do my activities on time. Despite the small negative details in certain tools, Notion is an excellent software for taking notes and organizing tasks.

Pros

What I like the most about Notion is the ease with which I can organize both my business and my private life due to this software provides an easy to understand and use interface. Besides, the track that I can do of my tasks and projects is extremely useful to have a better organization in my daily activities.

Cons

What I like least about Notion is how basic it can be. Although it works and looks really good, some tools are just "basic", which might be a negative aspect for your organization of big projects or activities. In this sense, Notion will not be able to fully satisfy your needs.

Alternatives considered

[Taskworld](https://www.capterra.com/p/135461/Taskworld/)[monday.com](https://www.capterra.com/p/147657/monday-com/)

Reason for choosing Notion

### "Notion is the Best tool to manage your work/life all in one place without going between many apps."

September 13, 2022

5.0

I Used many softwares before but notion is the best in every aspect, still lake something but you can edit and make it your own, its affordable, i been using it for a time with credit i collect from referring others but now im happy to pay for it. worth every cent.

Pros

Save you money and time since you only use notion to manage everything without going between apps.

Cons

I think they need to improve on goal planing and progress bar should be a template without using formulas. some formulas should be a default template, since a lot of users use them and share them online. it will be a huge advantage if the could introduce some ready to use formulas.

### "The best and worst of Notion"

September 6, 2022

5.0

Overall it's a great app, I just wish it would be faster and also easier to navigate.

Pros

Notion is an extremely flexible software. Thanks to their databases and multiple views like calendar, Kanban, tables and lists. I found it to be extremely intuitive and fun to use. I can definitely see how it could replace a google docs and be a central place for your team.

Cons

So the big elephant in the room... Notion can be slow at times, especially when using it on my phone. I would spend a lot of effort just trying to switch between pages. When I would type in it I felt that my text was not in real time. Also on Mobile sometimes I couldn't highlight text due to a bug on their side. This goes against the productivity it is trying to create. Also the way it works with folders, it very quickly becomes far too many different places and I would need to think about where I need to put the specific note I'm working on, vs actually just writing the note. I think that it would be far better if notion stopped relying so much on folders and rather just made their search and internal linking more streamlined.

### "Probably the best aesthetic all rounded application."

February 22, 2022

5.0

Pros

There's so many things that I love about Notion. A good starting point is that Notion can be used for so many things. Note taking, planning, journaling, project management is just a few. Personally, I use it for daily planning, keeping track of my assignments and planning college work and studying for exams. I also use it for project management because I can easily track and plan projects in the same place as I keep my resources. Another great pro about Notion is all the available templates that you can customize. If you are going for a more professional look or if you want an artsy aesthetic look, you can change it to any way you want. Most templates are free but there are paid versions that you can buy as well. Notion is also supported on many devices so you can just view your plans on the go. To add to that, there's many free widgets you could use to add to the various features in Notion. Notion has in built databases, Kanban boards, to do lists, tables, and so many features that you can tweak and use in so many ways.

Cons

The only con about Notion is that its not very beginner friendly. It can take a while to get used to all the features and how to use them efficiently. Setting up Notion to how you want it can take a bit of time but this is worth it in the long run. There are many tutorials which you can use to learn and starter templates that you could use, but if you want something very specific and is a picky person it might take time to set things up. Using things like databases requires a bit of knowledge so I would suggest looking at a few tutorials before deep diving into customization. The good things is that the tutorials are abundant so you won't be lost. Putting in the time to get exactly what you want is definitely good for the long run.

### "A flexible programmable tool with a variety of uses"

November 16, 2021

5.0

I am happy with the massive functionality of Notion. It has easily replaced 5 or 6 apps I do not need anymore. It is constantly evolving and adding features, as the developers are focused on improving. The only minus I can find is on me as a user: I need to reflect on what I want it to do for me in order to use Notion to its full potential.

Pros

Notion is flexible. It can be whatever you want it to be. I use it via the browser extension to save a platform-agnostic list of bookmarks, to collect data for my research, and also to save inspiration for my projects. I have also a calendar database with the tasks and projects I'm working on. I even have a personal database of recipes I share with my wife! With Notion you can save your information in your preferred format (calendar, list, blocks, galleries...) A true Swiss Army knife for projects and knowledge management.

Cons

Notion can be daunting if you are not clear on what you want it to do. There are endless ways to input information, format it and retrieve it. You can easily spend way too much productive time changing things. I suggest you do what I did: I planned my setup on paper according to the type of information I needed to gather, and how I wanted to retrieve it. This planning saves you tons of hours of aimless tinkering.

### "An application I cannot live without"

March 4, 2022

5.0

Pros

I'm in love with Notion! It became something that I can't live without with my 2+ years of using the app/website. Notion basically became the app/website that I use to organize my life. You can customize Notion according to your liking, with tons of features they offer. If you don't like doing everything from scratch, they have a variety of templates that you can use. This app/web made me really productive in life and helped me get my life back on track. They have a lot of databases where you can choose to base your page on: Table, Board, List, Calendar, Gallery, and Timeline. All of them can cater to whatever we plan on doing on our page. "Board" is especially useful for tracking things, and the database that I use often. Once you get the hang of the features they have, you can do everything in Notion! All in all, Notion is highly recommended for everyone to use.

Cons

I'll prefer it if they will add more colors that we can use, and not only the basic ones. Another thing is making a feature where we can link pages or sites through an image. It is still not available currently, and I think it would greatly maximize our experience.

### "Amazing for brainstorming, writing down ideas and sharing files"

May 31, 2022

Never forgetting about anything ever again, especially with the template options, it's a life saver for sure. Before that I used to always start a project on a word document, and when it comes to word documents, it's way harder to share them, collaborate on them and have them all organized in an easier file system. Notion made that all easier.

Pros

The best use of this software is for sure its capabilities to write down ideas and have templates for not taking or planning, so you won't forget anything in your routine or planned actions.

Cons

I don't really have a least favorite thing about it. It has worked great for what I intended with it.

### "The Best for almost everything in your business"

March 17, 2022

5.0

Overall, it has been great. The team loves it and it makes collaboration fun as well as project management enjoyable

Pros

The greatest pro is its customization. You have a bunch of data, whether that is a task, project details, content, etc... you can then display and interact with that data however suits you best. Your team can then customize it to how they work best. Do they prefer a simple checklist of tasks or would they like to sort by project and priority all can be done easily. We replace our task manager, project management software, and even our content management software.

Cons

If you start getting larger databases sometimes it can be a bit slow if you are quickly trying to add a task that is connected to multiple large data bases.

### "Wonderful product and great for freelancers"

June 6, 2022

5.0

Overall, Notion has been one of the best applications I've used for project management in years. I can't wait for it to come out with more features and more ways to be more productive.

Pros

There are so many features to love on Notion. From task management to calendar integration, and overall being able to plan / schedule projects and tasks all on the same note-taking app is amazing to me. It's a very easy-to-use, flexible application and I love that I am able to customize it to use features I specifically need all the time.

Cons

It would be great if developers were able to update the app to have even more exciting features to help with project management. It's great we can bring files from other websites onto the app, but for me, sometimes it doesn't upload everything properly and it takes time for me to go over my uploaded files to make sure everything is on Notion correctly.

### "Second Brain"

Pros

I love that notion helps you turn all of your thoughts and projects into artifacts that are easy to share with other people and easy to search for and recover for yourself. As a task management program, it’s the best because it is simple or as complicated as you need it to be, and doesn’t force you to do anything in a certain way.

Cons

Search can be a problem because you end up creating so much content inside Notion, that there are frequently too many results, and there isn’t a very robust archiving feature that isn’t just straight up deleting
