Day to day we need to consume information in both structured and unstructured ways. Some examples include product/engineering documentation, task management, and meeting notes. Notion provides the ability to view all of this without needing to jump between several different apps. This saves time and helps us move faster. On the dev side, Notion has a public API that continues to grow. We've found some uses for this and look forward to leveraging it more in the future. Cons Convincing new team members of Notion's usefulness takes time. The flexibility is a major advantage, but sometimes this can be overwhelming. Users sometimes don't know where to start. Creating an office guide is extremely important for our culture, especially now with remote work. If anyone is traveling to an office and needs to know "where should I park? how do I get to the office? what is our lunch program?" all information is organized on Notion per office location. Employee experience is one of my biggest priorities, and Notion helps me organize all this information and keep our employees informed. Pros Notion quite frankly does it all - it is an area to organize and store information, it provides a platform to collaborate with cross-functional partners, task-management for projects, plan internal events, ETC! Cons At times, formatting text / pages can be difficult as a first time user, however once you get the hang of it its not too hard. I looked up a few youtube tutorial videos on how to format pages easier. Perhaps Notion could offer some instructional videos on formatting! Pros I liked the tree structure the most in Notion. It keeps everything organized under pages and sub-pages, and there's no limitation on creating pages. Other than that, I liked how it updates instantly in every device we're logged in, if I make a change on my phone, it instantly gets updated on my laptop without even refreshing the page, that's amazing! Lastly, I loved the how minimal the software is, only the important things are in-sight and the without any clutter on the dashboard. Cons I loved almost everything while using Notion, but I would like to implement subtle changes like providing more sources for page background images, and other than that, I'd request Notion team to speed up the mobile app a bit, as it takes a little more time to open, please try to make it a little faster to open, Notion team can implement machine learning to identify how Notion is used by a particular user and customize more for that user on their side, this way, it'll be more able to connect with the user subconsciously! Cons I had very bad access to information with iOS, almost every time we accessed Android phones, access to the panel was simple, it was fast, responsive and everything was fine, but with iPhone phones things changed and I don't know exactly if it was the operating system or that the program supposedly blocked which was strange. In this sense, it generated delays since almost all of us have iPhone phones in the team. Cons The only thing I really don't like is when I get updates for pages and a different workspace it will always just be a mark there until I finally check okay. It's just a peppy but I wish I can just snooze it or just press a mark all read button. So my number one tip is: take a look at tutorials before you start using it and definitely use templates to get ideas and get going faster. Pros Notion is just a diverse platform and it can have so many different uses. All its tools and features allows you to build very personalized projects. It is worth noting that Notion becomes more intuitive with time. As it operates differently than many other project management or productivity software, it does take time to make it work for your needs. However, once you are able to tune into its capabilities, it really does become a game changer. Pros Notion has become instrumental in my day to day work, specifically supporting my job search and weekly agenda, research projects, and much more. If I had known about this when I was in school, I would know everything there is to know about everything. Cons  I've noticed that while using Notion on my phone, it may be a little sluggish at times. Even turning the pages was a laborious process for me. I had the impression that my text was not being shown in real time while using it. On Mobile, I also had issues where I was unable to use the highlight function owing to a fault on their end. The effect opposite to increased productivity is being created. Since folders multiply rapidly, I'd spend more time trying to figure out where I should save a given note than I would composing it. I believe it would be best if instead of using folders, we relied more on simplified search and internal connections.The typefaces and style in Notion are restricted. The most vexing aspect of idea is the inability to establish recurring tasks; it is a headache, and you must purchase addons to do this. Since you can't copy paste the content from Notion. Sometimes when I write a blog post or social media post in notion it becomes hard to copy paste that content from Notion to other Social media. Copy paste doesn't work like Google docs here.
