Churches on a budget trying to add a mobile study component should definitely consider using this tool! Pros Google Classroom has been useful to my online studies.The features are great for independent studies. From the student teacher interaction, user interface and access to classroom files all make the app great and easy to use! Google's customer service is always a pleasure to deal with and I have never had a problem with them. In the edn, all I've said added up to great app for independent study groups, classes and church study groups. Cons I think the only con I've encountered is a lag when trying upload alot of materials at one time, but that is more than likely an issue that can be resolved by just doing the uploads in smaller chunks and not a massive data drop. Teachers can set up classes, post assignments, and organize materials quickly without a steep learning curve. Our school already utilizes Google Drive, Docs, etc. so it is a natural fit. You also cannot beat the price (free), which gives it a leg up on competitors. Cons Its simplicity is also its biggest weakness. Students get confused about where to find content. It doesn't automatically make a copy of docs for students. Pros I love how easily I can link it to Google Docs and how I can store feedback comments. Cons The ways in which to organize content is greatly lacking. I have never ever had any issues in my 12 years of using Google Classroom, and I am a proud user! Pros I love that everything is super organized and separated by classes. I also love that when you having something due soon, it shows you what it is on the side in the main section when you click on one of your classes. It is super easy to attach files and turn things in as well as assigning things. There has never been any issues with bugs or glitches, and you can easily interact with students or teachers with it. They have wonderful customer support and a great value for your money! Cons There is absolutely nothing that I dislike about Google Classroom! December 25, 2024 4.0 I started using this tool shortly after the Covid pandemic, since we were all given Gmail business accounts and asked us to use all the resources present there. The truth is that I started with some mistrust since I used other tools to carry out my cognitive stimulation workshops (and I was already quite used to them), but the result of using Google Classroom was satisfactory, since it made life easier for my students and their parents (they did not have to make extra accounts and they could enter with their gmail emails) and also allowed me to constantly monitor the activities since I always I have my phone at hand and I have all the Google apps installed. Pros \- You don't have to create a new account, as you can use it with your GMAIL account - Information can be shared in different formats, meetings can be scheduled and held virtually. - Classes, notes and assignments can be accessed from any device. - Allows for selective assignment of tasks. - And most importantly, it is completely free. Cons \- You must be updating the feed manually since it does not do it automatically and that can be a big problem. February 24, 2026 5.0 I have used it for years and have trained many teachers to use it. They are always amazed at how simple it is and all of the different things it can do. Pros It is SO simple to learn, implement, and use. It also keeps the students engaged, and you can diversify instruction by offering different levels of lessons, but everyone is working from the same vantage point. Using the Socratic method, the Google Classroom allows to me to help them think critically about next steps and insight into the lessons. The features allow me to change up the lessons or quizzes to keep the classroom lively. Cons Short of it writing and uploading everything for me, none. It has worked for my students when they even travel to different countries. Cons The only issue I've had with Google Classroom is an occasional stall when trying to upload from the phone. It is very easy and simple to upload materials and track progress. Customer support is mostly handled through forums, which can be slow to resolve issues.
