Cons The extension marketplace is great, but installing too many extensions can slow down performance of vsCode. It’s better to be mindful of what you install to keep things running smoothly. Pros It's lightweight with basic features but if you want to extend it to fit your needs there are tons of plugins you can use. The community around Visual Studio Code has become huge. Almost every developer out there uses it. Cons Sometimes I feel that the developer experience is not optimal when using Visual Studio Code. Especially when I compare it with some other legendary IDEs. The settings are vast with lots of flexibility to configure the IDE to meet the requirements of your workflow. Very easy to use and a beautiful interface. Cons Some settings can be hard to find, but the integrated search helps. Would be nice if more things were built-in such as a spell checker- though I believe this functionality can be added with extensions. I use it everyday in my work and find all the extensions very useful.
