I would say set aside quite a bit of time to learn to software before committing. Pros The fact that this software is online is great for folks who do QDA work but wanna work from Chromebooks or computers that don't house the data itself. Cons The interface takes alot of work to get used to even for people who are experienced with QDA software. Took me 30 minutes to figure out how to code a picture. I felt strongly close to my data and my project in a very interactive way. Pros Allow analysing textual and audio-visual data; I felt a closeness to my data and strongly interactive when I am using webQDA, since the use of this software increase the access that I have with my data, allowing me to explore it once incorporate into a project (easy access to textual files and visual files, such as videos or photos); the code and retrieve funcionalities are accessible (I can define categories and sub-categories and also a free coding is possible when I want to explore the data and use a more open qualitative method of analysis); I can select the units of analysis and code them very easily; the code generation is bith easy and flexible and I feel free to use a combination of strategies and refine my coding process if necessary (I can use a tree or free coding, means that I feel a complete freedom concerning the structure of the coding schema); the coded data can be retrieved, recoded and outputted very ease in an intuitive way; I can also interrogated the data very easy with matrices that allows me to cross data; the writing tools we also improved as the memoing, commenting and annotating; the visual analysis is also very intuitive and allows me to comment the visual data, interpreting and coding according to my coding schema very easily. It is also important to highlight the possibility to use webQDA in the literature review process. Thai is a new functionality that I want to explore more deeply! Great value for money and great results. Still waiting for future features and functionalities to take it to higher levels of performance, but I know for sure they're around the corner! Pros The intuitive, attractive interface, the fact that it allows you to analyse any type of data, being able to analyse data in real time with other researchers, the support offered and the cost-benefit ratio. Cons Nothing to point out, except for features that are still being developed. Therefore, I cannot say that this is the things I like least about this software. I am just impatient ;).
